Having had a hot water bottle burst on me which really burnt me I would always bin any I have had for two years. It was only recently that I knew about this but it is easy to read once your attention is drawn to it. If you have a nice furry cover you can reuse that on a replacement bottle. Better safe than sorry.

My friend filled hers up last year she did admit using too hot a water, she had been out it was new years eve, once in bed the hot bottle burst! as he reaction was slowed, she was left with terrible burns on her ankle. The scar is still about the size of a 2p. had to kp having it dressed for months..

surely what is relevant is how often it has been used.. if there's the slightest amount of perishing I would get rid of it.. I much prefer an electric blanket..

There are other considerations when dating a water bottle other than their somewhat perishing appearance and their prone to a certain amount of flatulence that admittedly can be controlled by laying it on the work surface as advised up thread, I'm wondering if that method work in the aftermath of consuming a Jalfrezi food for thought! Anyway moving on, I say never get into a car with a hot water bottle if you do want to date one, they are prone to rubbernecking and well it has to be said can get them into a whole load of hot water and by extension whoever is with them.

This made me chuckle.........I had visions of a hot water bottle, dolled up to the nines waiting to go out on the town.......guess the OP doesn't mean that kind of date.

Surely the whole premise of sleeping with, but not dating is promoting what could be deemed as promiscuous way of life, not that I would want to judge others if that's one of their peccadillos, there are worse things in life. Although if you are one of those who are prone to indulge in that sort of behaviour, then yes I think it is a good idea if the bed time companion expels their air before they climb into bed. I mean, 20 years old in the great scheme of things is relatively young, compared to most posters on this site, but if their appearance suggests otherwise, am I alone in thinking no one wants to share their bed with a perishing old fart.

I love a boy water bottle, fill it with great care . Lay it flat on the work surface and fill slowly lifting now and again to expel the air. Keepingquiet please be careful a HWB that is 20 years old is probably not safe!!
