Or should that be, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation would like to remind everyone who they are??

Somewhere amongst the self congratulatory photos of themselves doing great works đŸ€” is a pic of their children taken from behind.

Pointless?

It’s true Marcus Rashford has partnered with Fareshare to allow them to use his celebrity status to raise contributions from others.

Lots of celebrities do that - including the Royal Family.

He, himself lives a fabulously wealthy lifestyle as a celebrity who is deferred to and has an entourage to meet his wishes.

I don’t really see the difference

Because he's experienced poverty, he worked to get that money not just had a massive handout. He doesn't have the ear of the prime minister.

But do you not hate Meghan, Anmiebach?

Not hate, I dislike her yes, I dislike lies and she lies, I dislike her and Harry, do we not all speak out against people lie and cause hurt ?
So hang on a minute. Isn't my feelings towards The Royal Family just dislike ? I dislike the greed, selfishness, laziness, corruption and dishonesty of the Royal family.

Do you ? Much you have read in the press and tell all books,
who do you say is lazy, dishonest, corrupt?

them,

I struggle to understand people who a have dislike of others built on envy. Their jealousy is unfounded.
As I see it, the Royals have to try to live a perfect life with all the trials that being in a constant goldfish bowl bring? If the children realise how wealthy and privileged they are, might they not also have an inkling of the future angst and stresses that await them? What a prospect to live with growing up.
I certainly don't envy them.

Iam64 Sat 21-Dec-24 15:16:28

Marcus Rashford’s life history is well known so I won’t repeat it other than to say yes, he knew hardship but in a loving family. Like many who achieve high success with accompanying huge income, he’s having a bit of a wobble. His game isn’t as it should be and the club he loves aren’t selecting him as a result
I expect he will return to form in life generally. I wouldn’t sneer at his charity work, that continues .

Because we both partners with cancer.

When your partner was diagnosed with cancer, I am truly sorry, did you choose not to speak publicly of it? if so were
you accused of having an affair, the press , social media demanding to see your partner? When you did go public were
you told the country had a right to know every medical detail of the cancer ?
No but I'd rather that than be worried about how I'm going to put food on the table and heat the house.

I was widowed age 33 with two small children, I wouldn’t want
anyone, rich or on the breadline to know that pain,

You have hatred for people you don’t know, that is sad

I have never expressed hatred

Lathyrus3 Sat 21-Dec-24 15:00:39

I don’t think Marcus Rashford can be said to represent ordinary people. He’s been earning over £15 million a year for a number of years now and his days of understanding poverty are long behind him.

I know some years ago he campaigned for free meals in school holidays but that was just one gesture that cost him nothing and he now lives a luxurious and hedonistic life style. His car collection alone is worth millions and his wild party lifestyle has cost him his place in his team.

He crashed one of his cars at very high speed into an innocent driver and showed no concern for his action.

I think he’s about as divorced from everyday people’s needs and reality as you can get.

Brave words, WellsRose, but sadly - from my reading of many RF threads on GN over the years - you won’t find many prepared to agree with you. Deference and blind adoration are the order of the day.

Silly post 😂😂😂

I’m sorry you consider my post “silly”. I sincerely think that many folk absolutely love and admire the RF, no matter what they are told about them. The RF lead lives of immense privilege and commoners are encouraged to defer to them - curtseying etc.

Why not David Beckham, Wayne Rooney , sorry can’t name more, I don’t do football,

Sorry what about them?

RosiesMaw2 Sat 21-Dec-24 14:24:32

Oh look. Another thread full of people offended that the US, a secular country , is inclusive of all religions during this period of time by using the words Haopy Holidays

How interesting.
As a secular country I wonder why speeches so often (if not even always) by politicians end with “
and God bless the United States of America”
Which god would that be? .

“Why not someone like Marcus Rashford who has know what life is like at the bottom of the pile.“ WellsRose

Rashford?

I wouldn’t hold him up as an example of anything if the last couple of years are anything to go by! He can’t be arsed to put in a decent 90 minutes for the club that lifted him out of poverty let alone turn out in all weathers to engage with all manner events with a smile on his face! And he doesn’t have a partner’s cancer diagnosis as a reason

Please remind me- to have red haired children the parents use have red hair somewhere on BOTH sides of the family, yes?
How does that it in with Meghan's 43% Nigerian background?

Maybe something to do with the other 57%

Recessive genes from both sides of the family.

Not sure what you mean, Meghan can have a recessive gene from one side of her family, if she had red hair she'd need it from both sides. If she has one copy of the gene she can then pass the recessive gene on to her children and that can then be joined by one of Harry's genes and give them a child with red hair.

I have red hair and a father with black hair, he inherited the red gene from my grandmother. He married my red haired mother and voila here I am although my sister got the black hair gene from him.

Oh look. Another thread full of people offended that the US, a secular country, is inclusive of all religions during this period of time by using the words Haopy Holidays.

Do you know how ridiculous you all sound? You may be offended that they didn't say Happy Christmas (it is Merry Christmas in the US by the way), but this card is not about you or for you. It is an American card for an American audience.

You all should be more offended that they used their titles vs what a population of over 300 million half a world away say in December.

How ridiculous.

Harry is a British citizen, his Father is the head of the Church of England, he was brought up as a Christian.

As AnnieBach said up thread I also care that Christmas Day, Goof Friday and Easter Monday are celebrated by Christians across the world.

Why should we have to use the dreadful “Happy Holidays”?
We should be able to say merry/happy Christmas to people of all religions.

Of course you can say Merry Christmas to people of all religions but do people want to get Christmas cards, Solstice cards, Hanukkah cards etc? It just so happens that there are various celebrations at this time of year and Happy Holiday includes them all and excludes none.

I'm a Christian and Happy Holiday doesn't offend me in the slightest and I have been to solstice and Hanukkah celebrations.

I do hate Christmas cards that don't have any link to the Nativity as that is what Christmas is about. We all have our own feelings but I look at the cards I have received this year and I see dogs with father christmas hats, Christmas trees, snow scenes, not one with any religious connection to Christianity. I think if you don't want to send a religious card then Happy Holiday is appropriate as it isn't hypocritical.
