Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s windy, still raining and very mild, 11 degrees according to my outdoor thermometer. A disturbed night because it was so mild, but it looks like a cold day in prospect.
The snow didn’t last long yesterday, we had torrential rain for most of the day. DD1 and family called in yesterday, DSiL sorted out the printer for me after the new router and digivoice phone were installed on Thursday.
DD2 will be working from here today, it will be nice to have company, although there won’t be much chatting because she’ll be working.
My hip is feeling a bit more comfortable this morning but I’ll have another restful day today.
ash safe journey today, hope the channel isn’t too choppy!
I hope those who are suffering from the various winter viruses feel better soon.
Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a nippy cold and wet day here on the east coast of Fife where it’s expected to either rain or snow all day. I’m afraid my decorations won’t be coming down today as I need a carer to do this for me. I continue to love the outdoor Christmas lights and tree lights they bring me a good feel factor it might be another week before they’re all taken down.

Have a good day my friends keep warm and safe

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Snowing again in South Yorkshire. It turned to rain last night and a thaw had set in, but here we are once more. My hairdresser has been kind enough to move today’s appointment to Thursday so that’s one thing I don’t have to worry about (until Thursday!). I managed to put my back out yesterday. There doesn’t have to be a reason; it just goes. I was cooking lunch for DD and the menfolk and moving around did help a bit, but I was so tired when they’d gone that I went to bed at eight and slept till half past four. I don’t think I’ll even get out of my pyjamas today as I’m not going out.
Hope you have a calm crossing, Ash and OldD.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning all from a very wet North Leicestershire.

Thank you all for the kind birthday wishes yesterday. I had a lovely day. Just dh and I apart from DS1 who popped in for half an hour. Lots of messages, card and presents though and then lunch at the restaurant in the village.

Today, I have a general check up at the GP's and then a trip to M&S.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Malta where the weather is much the same as yesterday, dry 17°C / 12°C.

Same here grandMattie, no decorations to take down.

Glad you had a smooth journey Ash, I hope the next leg will go just as smoothly.

Best of luck with your knitting K25K. I admire anyone who can knit or do anything creative. I’m too impatient to be any good at it.

No plans today. Might take my car for its VRT (MOT ) as my tax and insurance are due this month unfortunately. I ask myself every year if it’s worth it since I hardly use the car, but I’m not ready to part with it yet.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from s somerset, rain wind and cold with pops of sun

I can hear the wind howling and rain battering, and I hope there is a dry interlude, I am feeling like a blob because of staying indoors. My aim this morning is to do the circular walk, I am so thankful that there is a hill and that it is not too long a walk, as long as I walk fast

Pottering for me again today and definitely knitting. I have three UFOs on the go, socks and a warm hat have priority, they are presents

Have a good day

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and wet. We had no snow at all, thank goodness. Ash a safe onward journey to you both.
Yesterday the family gathered for breakfast at the garden centre to say farewell to my aunt and uncle who are off to Spain for three months. The boys were very pleased to see me and there were cuddles galore. Dgs2 is going through a phase just now where he doesn't want his dad at all and rejects his help. It's hurtful for my son in law, who looks like a big, tough, bearded Scotsman but is actually a softie. Dgs1 tries to make up for it by being extra sweet to his dad. Nevertheless it was a nice time. Later I visited mum who was chatty and cheeky. It was good to see her on form, even if it was me who was the butt of her cheekiness.
Today is back to routine with early childcare day. The difference is, I'll be dropping both boys off at school/nursery. The rest of the day is my own until pick up time. What will I do to pass the time? I intend to get stuck into the boys room which is untidy. Have a good day all

Morning Mick, morning All from a seriously soggy corner of Somerset.

Quiet one yesterday, cooked a roast, carried on with the photo shrinking and caught up with some tv. Looks as if we’ve managed to find a day for a family meal to celebrate our sons birthday next month. Give me cat herding any day.

A bit of sorting and laundry this morning before blood test round two at the hospital

Safe trip ash and all on the move today, stay warm everyone still struggling with snow.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good Morning

Very new so not sure how to do this. I am so pleased with myself for managing to get a hat knitting pattern right. I nearly through my knitting out of window last night, but got there in the end. My 21 year old grandson out of the blue asked me to knit a hat. I have never knitted passed scaves and headbands so a very big challange. My brother in law even helped going out of his way to Sunderland to pick up a pattern. As I am in Newcastle. Lets pray it works

Good morning from a wet and windy Portsmouth Travelodge where we arrived safely after a very easy journey with no hold ups!

We enjoyed a good meal at Sovereigns next door where I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a child’s roast when I requested a small portion of the Sunday roast.

Our check in time is seven at the latest so must go. Have a good week and good luck to those returning to work or school.

Good morning from a soggy Bristol. The snow had disappeared by 0900 in the rain, which barely stopped all day, becoming heavier overnight. Another wet day to come. I’m glad there’s no wind.
Today is Epiphany, the visit of the Wise Men; the twelfth day of Christmas and traditionally the day Christmas decorations come down. As I had none up, none are coming down…
I had a quiet day after church, which was not well attended due to the weather and sickness.
I finished a woolly hat for my neighbour; I hope she likes it apart from being the welsh rugby colours.
Tesco this morning and bits and pieces…
May the unwell and unhappy have a better day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dark and its raining outside here at the moment in brackley.
Today, my usual bus trip into Bicester , I aim to get my haircut with it sort of being a normal week as to shops.
On the Health front OK, as to the Lamb Curry I was very careful as to the scotch bonnets.
Take Care,
