Well, my son had a school rehearsal for their Christmas concert last month, and it ran a wee bit over time. On his way home he saw one boy standing at the bus stop, so stopped to ask him if he thought he had missed his bus, but, as they were talking, the bus appeared, and the boy got on it.
Later that night son had a couple of missed calls from an unfamiliar number, which he ignored, but then one left a voicemail asking him to phone the local police station!
It appears the bus driver had seen the boy talking to son, and asked him if he had got out of that car, and the boy said no, he had just been ‘talking to the guy’! Bus driver had phoned the polis with the car registration ( courtesy car from garage), so they had son’s details.
Next day, police came to school to interview staff and boy to confirm son’s story.
I think it is a good thing that people do flag up things they are worried about, and that they are taken seriously. It does make a change from all the tales of ‘red flags’ which are allegedly ignored by the authorities.
Found out today, can't take it in
Well, that was a farce.........
