I had a problem with the computer and it was all so dark I couldnt read it so have only just got it sorted out now and been able to ready your news. Have managed to get a bit of the shambles sorted as couldnt see anything on the laptop. but not a good start to my day. Been very cold, but got washing put out. However no reall wind so dont think much will be dry but will at least smell better. Hope to be back in line tomorrow. Best wishes

I've managed to catch up on some more needle felting - am making a little ghost! - and caught up on my beloved Chat magazine, I always go to Aunt Nelly before page 1!

In the Co-Op last night around 7:30 I was buzzing around minding my own business trying to decide if I should have a Irresistible Chicken Arrabbiata pizza or a Irresistible Margherita Pizza for dinner, so I grabbed one of each as one is for next time - £11.35 for them well spent! - and shot through the roof with fright! A piggin' 8-legged thing shot out from somewhere and ran under one of the shelving units! So I ran to the other side of the store and grabbed a box of BirdsEye fish fingers, well away from the beastie!

The creepy little man who followed me around the aisle not ago was back, I saw him following someone else so I ignored him this time, it seems like he IS a secret security!

Next time I get an entire week off work - I think in April - I'm driving off to a B&B in Whitby, I absolutely LOVE it there! Will definitely make a beeline for the lovely gift shops again!

Heavy frost here in the north west even though the sun is out doesn't seem to be melting .

Good morning Mick and all from 3°C northwest coast. The lunchtime recital was very enjoyable yesterday, my friend from the art group now keeping a seat on the front for me. It was a string quartet, which I like. A string broke in the middle of a movement and the violinist had to go off and fix it. It was nice to see how they all communicated with each other, as opposed to the dead pan faces of a symphony orchestra.

I then picked up some glam tights from M&S, sprinkled with sequins, for the evening. Didn’t make the folk club last night, as once ensconced under my heated throw, I was too reluctant to move…

Good morning all. 6deg and another lovely sunny dry day ahead today in Glasgow. Wind gusts of 27mph not so welcome.

I had a long FaceTime chat with DD2 this morning who is still at home recovering, but healing nicely from her recent spinal fracture. She tells me she is covering her workload better working from home without interruptions.
DD1 dropped in as usual after school drop off and joined the FaceTime catch up. Perfect start to my day, blethering to my girls.
GD1 is having much more driving practise now she has her own car and it was a lovely surprise to see her come into my drive for a quick visit before she and her Mum collected GD2 from school yesterday. My new shed arrived yesterday, bigger than the old one which gives me more room to stack tools, garden cushions and my bike. As it gets full sun, it is a perfect warm drying space and I decided, with such a high ceiling to have a pulley put in.

I know Grammaretto well, having met up with her often, she is such a lovely caring lady and in her defence, I’m sure her comment was tongue in cheek, not at all meant to be nasty.

Good morning all from Severnside. Bright sunshine when I got up but now mist/fog has descended.

After being at home for ten days I ventured out to a garden centre yesterday and bought some dwarf narcissi and a packet of crisps. It would have been our 50th anniversary later this year so if I buy any plants I’m going to buy ones with yellow flowers.

Today I’m going to start garage decluttering. I expect I’ll do a lot of looking around thinking oh gawd.

Good morning from back home after my ‘Highland Fling’. I’m so glad I left my house tidy, I feel nice and relaxed this morning since DD2 came while I was away and put on a luxurious new mattress topper on my bed for a surprise and I had the best night’s sleep. So thoughtful of her, that warmed me in itself.

Shower now and trip to the Health Centre to have my six monthly Doppler appointment for new support knee highs. They are a great help.

Your holiday sounds blissful Brook, my Corby sister is off to Spain for a month soon, she and her husband go at this time of the year and I always envy her. Blue skies here today though so I’ll be grateful for that!

Good morning from a drizzly and gloomy day.

Miss and MzOops spent yesterday sorting out things to sell, hopefully the garage and cabin will become a bit clearer.

I blitzed the house whilst they were otherwise engaged, just the kitchen to do today.
MzOops has invited a friend and her baby to stay tomorrow and Saturday so that will be fun. Hopefully.
On the other hand cooking for Vegans isn’t any fun at all, I was told not to go shopping for special food, so I didn’t, which was a mistake, so a delivery today of things that I’ve never heard of, the things I already have in the freezer are being used despite them all being ‘processed Mum ’ obviously cooking from scratch is much preferred, tough luck my dear…… anything we don’t use she will take home with her.

Anyway, it’s good to see her.

Good morning everyone from a very foggy day here at DD's in East Northants. Feels very cold, and DS-in-law has just come in from his dog walk, glad to be back in the warm.

Had a lovely evening at wine group last night, 4 good roses to taste and lots of delicious food. Good company, food, wine and chat, what more could you ask for?

Will be taken home later this morning, then I'm out again this afternoon for my hair appointment.

Cottage pie for dinner tonight, which I left thawing in the fridge at home.

Karma I can't sew but absolutely loved Mrs Harris goes to Paris. The frocks! Ash such a coincidence to bump into that singer.
Yesterday I faffed about and didn't do much. My hip was bothering me off and on and eventually I took a painkiller about eleven o'clock and slept better. I woke this morning feeling brighter.
Today I think I'll make bread. I might go to the library too and wander round the garden with a brush. Your holiday sounds lovely Brook. Nice views, walks and people watching sounds ideal. Have a good day all

Good morning from County Durham.

Yesterday we took our car for a well earned long drive, just to make sure all in order after events earlier in the week. She's also booked in to have her broken parking sensor repaired locally.

We decided to go on a Ray Lonsdale sculpture hunt. We managed to fit in three, one at an old colliery village with a father and young son in conversation before decending down the mine. Another at the coast, which is one of his best, Tommy, the World War One soldier. Both we'd seen before but they are always a joy and Tommy in particular attracts a lot of attention.

We then drove into Sunderland to see the Vaux brewery dray and horses. It stands on the site of the old brewery and is absolutely magnificent. There is another sculpture, his latest, which we shall save for another day. It's one of a woman working at the shipyards during World War Two named Molly. Ray is indeed a very talented man.

A trip into our little city today for DH to collect his glasses. I need to have a wander for a party dress suitable for our Murder Mystery in a few weeks time. Wish me luck as there's not many clothing stores to choose from in Durham.

Morning all, up earlier than usual as grandchildren ( plus parent) slept over last night. All now out and off to school and work so I’ve come back to bed with a cuppa before I tidy up in readiness for the cleaner who’s due this morning!

Karma I hope you manage to watch Mrs Harris goes to Paris, I did so at the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it.
As someone very adept regarding sewing and making clothes ( you, definitely not me 😉) there are some scenes Im
guessing which will be familiar to you considering your knowledge and expertise! I’m happy if I manage to sew a button on or a hem stays up!

We are meeting friends this afternoon. Such a nice couple, same age as us and he goes for a scan at the Christie next week. An anxious time for them as he had bowel surgery in September and is very thin. It’s a month since we saw him and hope he’s gained a bit of weight since then. 🤞

Good morning all. The sun is beginning to rise in a rosy glow here - the hours of daytime are definitely lengthening.
Yesterday I list my post not once but twice! I retired in a sulk. I am attaching a photo of the fiery sunset of the previous evening - very similar to the photo your friend took grammaretto. I don't know if we had a similar one last night as I rather think I had fallen asleep at the appropriate time! Like you Cornergran my sleep has been dreadful for the past week, but it's righting itself now thank goodness. Three hours' sleep a night really isn't enough!
Good news of the family in LA - they moved back into their home yesterday and very relieved to be able to do so. They fire they were evacuated from was one of the smaller ones - Hollywood Hills. The schools are open again and I think the children will be glad to get back.
I'm glad all has gone well with you grandmattie. I well remember my amazement at the amount of blue that returned to my spectrum. I had forgotten how blue the hills were, and red cars were no longer a full browny orange. White was vivid. Apparently Monet threw away all the paintings he had done while waiting for his cataracts to be done because they were so dull and brown. So take it easy and enjoy the brightness.
Well, it was a glorious day yesterday and looks like it might be more of the same today, so off to tai chi with a spring in my step. Have a good day everyone x
