On a lighter note….we all need it! Here’s a question for you.

Nothing yet as I'm trying to declutter and cut down the amount of clothes that I already have. Wardrobe overload here lol

I've decided not to buy anything I want (opposed to need) as I have an unexpected expense, the rebuilding of my garden wall. I have wardrobes of clothes, too many boots, shoes and sandals.

GransNet Money Saver I didn't save. I spent nearly £30 on a jumper from ROMAN!!!! OK, it was discounted and I have very few jumpers but I don't actually need it.

They are closing our local Debbie's - everything is half price even Waitrose food so bought enough food to fill the freezer, a bird feeder, plant bulbs and a food chopper.
I didn't need any of these but cannot resist a bargain!

A colourful sea salt oversized fleece. Not really necessary as I have others equally good. However it was in the sale and is so cosy !

I try to walk past them, but this week I fell victim to a pack of triple choc chunk cookies. Do I feel victimised? Not really. they are now a blissful memory. Will I let myself be caught again? of course not...

Though I did order a new pair of sheepskin house boots recently, because they were very briefly 20% off, and the ones I’ve had (and worn endlessly) for at least 5 years have sprouted a little hole in the left toe.
I’m saving the new ones for next winter, though.

Oreo I cannot really afford to do it because I have felt as though I have been standing at the door handing out money.

I do the majority of my food shopping online, and the prices have risen again, as have the costs of getting folk in to fix or service items.

No problems in April because my state pension is rising around £2 a week before tax!

I bought a jumper in Primark and didn’t try it on. I always cut the labels out when I get home and when I tried to wear it I discovered it was too short and made me look like something in an end-of-pier mirror. I sold it on Vinted. similarly a lovely blue jumper I bought and wore once and then realised it wasn’t just loose it was far too big.

A Minnie Mouse hat and a pair of gloves. Wondering about the Minnie Mouse scooter with lights on the wheels…..

A hole punch. I had lost mine, so I did need it when I bought it, but of course I found mine two days later.

A coat, greatly reduced in the sales. I didn’t need it, but it is years since I last bought one.
A pair of cord trousers. A different colour from my existing pair and nice and cosy in this weather.

Love this thread. I went into a local shop and lo and behold I spotted a pair of denim Levi's dungarees just like a pair I had 60 years ago! I am British and live on the west coast of Canada where dress is very casual and people don't do the "dress for your age" thing. So although feeling reckless, I took the plunge and bought them. A nice change from jeans and So comfy.

Anybody else had the first GN Money Saver email drop into their inbox? Thirty minutes after I got mine I’d bought the Maybelline Sky High mascara everyone’s talking about (apparently).

In my defence I will definitely need a new mascara in about six months time.

Sunflower hearts, the birds are fine with cheaper treats.
I suppose I didn’t NEED to restock Vitamins C, D3 and magnesium, I’ve been taking them daily for years and I don’t know if a few weeks or months skipping them would be noticeable.

GrannySommerset, I have been wondering about these de-fuzzers for knits. Some of my sweaters are looking a bit scruffy and if I try one of these it may save them from the charity shop.

I purchased a vibration therapy machine. It was quite an investment, but is said to improve bone density, help with joint pain and increase balance in seniors. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis last fall, so am doing what I can to prevent more bone loss.

I've bought two tops in Joe Brown's sale. I didn't necessarily need them but it did mean I could throw out two very threadworn old ones. I also weakened and bought the coffee pod machine that Aldi were selling for £35. I didn't need it, I could produce perfectly good espresso with my moka pot, but I'm drinking far more coffee now I've got the machine.

A trip to M&S sale for a little browse on a rainy day meant I bought a few sale items especially two of those nice cardigans with the gold buttons on. Bargains. Plus, a candle, a few Xmas presents to put away for next year, a gilet that was half price, plus some boots. Very very naughty!

Very naughty indeed ,but three lusted after for ages heavy lined crochet lace dresses .
One black with long sleeves .
Two with shorter elbow length sleeves one in a rich pink (not my favourite colour ,but I like it as someone said that it suits me )and one in my favourite colour emerald green .
