Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where it is 8°C and a tad windy! The wind woke me up in the early hours, it is fierce to say the least. We have never had a red warning before.
I received so many messages from parishioners last night, asking if the church was closed, as many others in the Diocese were. Despite phone calls and texts, the new PP has not bothered to respond, so I am furious. We have many elderly parishioners and I have a system in place to alert parishioners in a situation like this. I know for certain that a few hardy foolish ones will venture out.
I'm glad of an excuse to stay in, but obviously not for the reason. Babydoll, aka the Duracell bunny, was non stop yesterday and refused to nap. Papa hadn't finished strapping her in the car to go home, when she conked out. The wee rascal..🥰
Six months after my cooker hood fell down on my head, the electrician phoned yesterday and is coming early this morning, to fit a new one. It has been a comedy of errors. I am not really expecting him to come, I certainly don't want him putting himself at risk.
The original electrician, a former parent and my go to person, had an accident at work and combined with me feeling too unwell to cope with things, has meant that it has lingered on.
He has asked another electrician, my friend's nephew, to come and do it. They help each other with jobs, when they are busy and I have no problem with that.
A note to Borrheid : our school friend, Margaret M. messaged to say, Mrs H, the maths teacher, whose daughter was in our year, had died at the age of ninety two!
I hope you are feeling a bit better and more upbeat. She says she follows you on Facebook.💕
I hope everyone remains safe and Grammaretto, fingers crossed for those trees.
A quiet day is required,I cannot shake off the the after effects of that Christmas virus, I am find life difficult and frustrating.
