Can you give a random recommendation?

I wish I liked liquorice, as so many people seem to love it. I can't stand the taste of anything that tastes vaguely of liquorice - this includes aniseed, liquorice flavoured drinks, fennel etc. etc. etc. But I do love dark chocolate!

Totally agree with Kitsmum…..Ringtons ginger snaps are really delicious!

Nairn's Marmite aand cheese oatcakes. They come in a box wrapped in packs of 5. A friend introduced me to them last autumn. They are now a staple nibble, when I want one.

Cherry Bakewell Jaffa Cakes from Aldi. I'm a sucker for anything cherry/almond flavoured and these are delicious! Too dangerous though...I have to ration myself!

Tesco sterilising tablets. Probably really for babies bottles, but I put one in the washing up bowl with fresh water and soak my J cloth and washing up sponge once or twice a week.
And any cloths of course.

St Dalfour blackcurrant fruit spread - heaped thickly on new bread. Or on your porridge. Or by the spoonful straight from the jar 🫢

It's good that you are OK with castor oil on your skin but please can other's note that not everyone is.

Ricinoleic acid, (the main ingredient in castor oil), helps lock moisture into your skin but using it can cause irritation and allergic reactions like contact dermatitis

M and S Cheddar cheese with Truffle, not particularly cheap but Moreish!

Easiyo yogurt. I started making my own in 2019. That way I never run out of yogurt. For the gluten intolerant I use my normal recipes just use gluten free flour . Have 2 friends who love my cakes . You just need to add bit more liquid as it soaks up moisture like a sponge .
Porridge make with oat milk is delicious and so creamy . Homemade red lentil and veg soup.

I know this isn't in the spirit of this thread but I am still trying to lose weight. As much as I love all the biscuits especially Borders ,ice cream ,most cheese , chocolate I don't buy them as I have no control over them .

If it's a naughty treat my brothers cheesecake . I made one on New year's eve for friends one who can't have gluten . So made gluten free shortbread as base and crumbled it layer of dark cherries on top then cheesecake mix once set a layer of dark chocolate ganache . Gluten free veg lasagna for lunch made with 2 grated mozzarella and parmesan. What was left they took home I only kept a small portion of each for me .

From M & S ginger biscuits covered (completely) in dark chocolate. Heaven!

Mrs Tilly’s fudge is lovely, as are salted caramel Magnums.

Walkers do gf shortbread, plain and choc chip, kittylester.
More expensive, of course and I haven't tried them but they look good in the picture.
Toblerone is gluten free and satisfying (but not quite as mountainous as it was).
Some Mackies icecream are gf too, but not all.

My guilty pleasure is jammy dodgers . However could eat and often do a whole pack in one go dipped in a cuppa 😂

I can vouch for Nairns oatcakes (very addictive) but also Jacob’s Cornish Wafers way better than butter puffs if way more expensive.

Sadly Mackies ice cream tubs are too tall for my freezer so I’m largely safe from that vice. Though do know how good it is.

Cadbury Boost chocolate bar or Twirl (less mess than a flake) never fails to satisfy when only milk chocolate will do.

GrannySomerset sadly no spangles but a Peppermint Aero followed by a glass of chilled milk is just divine🤤 …and to lower the tone further still
…original Spam Fritters from Iceland (the shop not the place). Now I wouldn’t have touched these with a bargepole at school and was never offered such things at home …but…served with creamy mash, a spoon of peas and a drizzle of “thin-ish” gravy really quite delicious. Honest.

I can’t resist the triple chocolate salted caramel deep dish cookies from The Cookie Mill which I get online and they are delivered straight to my door!

I put my Tunnocks teacakes in the freezer. They are delicious, I came across this on TikTok, it’s suggested by an American posting and now I’m hooked.

I am too and do the same, but they are good any time and anyhow. Do you eat them in one mouthful or lick them???

Dark sea salt chocolate coated liquorice , Xmas gift oh so delicious they do other flavoured chocolate to …. Not sure if make and can’t find them anywhere at moment

Bulow liquorice coated in chocolate are the very best, they do so many different flavours hard to choose.

Baileys is also brilliant over ice cream, in coffee or in hot chocolate or just drinking it with a straw!!

Oh yes, I've done that before - and had Marmite toast with poached eggs on top.

Mmm, Cafe Noir biscuits Kim19! Not had them for years….
Anyway, currently enjoying Malted milk chocolate biscuits - one or two a day hit the spot!
