Your signature scent.

I only use Angel. I was complimented yesterday by a perfect stranger standing in a queue.

Forty years on,for evenings out I’m still a loyal Ysatis fan, and for everyday I like the White Company ones, particularly Santa Rosa and Lime and Bay.

I wear perfume every day. My winter scent is Black Opium and Anais Anais in the summer.

Chanel.mademoiselle..love it. Lighter than no5. Expensive but easy birthday/ christmas gift for DH to remember. I want to love Jo Malone - tried it a coyple of years ago) but it wears off after an hour. Such a rip off x

Oh yes, Ambre Solaire - when as a young teenager I believed I could acquire a South of France tan by lying in the back garden for a couple of hours, my very pale skin notwithstanding. 🤣

Aqua Manda! I loved that as a teen. These posts are bringing back memories. I think that the sense of smell is very important when it comes to taking us back to different times. Not a perfume as such, but the smell of Ambre Solaire always reminds me of the long school holidays.

Ah the evocative scents of youth! I remember the distinctive smell of Ambre Solaire. I think there was only one kind of AS which was brownish, sticky oil but it smelled divine.

I loved Aqua Manda too but I was allergic to something in it so I used to wear my boyfriend's Old Spice Lime instead.

Trisha99 my friend bought a fake Mitsouko from the Perfume Parlour. She said she couldn’t tell the difference.

I don’t have a signature scent, I wear (gratefully!) whatever I’m given for Christmas and birthdays. My husband only buys me Rive Gauche. I also have numerous scents given to me by my son, currently Penhaligon’s Halfeti and Duchess Rose, Serge Lutyens’s Soir de Lune, Chanel No 5 and Clarins Aromatics Elixir. I love all of them but must say no perfume for next birthday so I can use some up, even though I wear perfume every day. If I didn’t have all these lovely perfumes given to me I would just buy for myself the original Anais Anais.

I wear perfumes everyday, I love Chanel, fleur de Oranguer, sold in Marks, and all fragrances from the Clarins range.
Even when I am ill, I still shower and put a fragrance on, it's my weakness.

I feel undressed without perfume.
Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps (always) ; Fleur de fleurs (before it was discontinued).
In my 30s and 40s Estee Lauder's Private Collection: Oscar de la Renta ;Teatra alla Scala : Bal à Versailles.
Moving towards Guerlain's Jicky and L'Heire Bleu.
Don't like fruity ones !!!! I want to smell nice, not eat it !

I used to use Chanel No 5 but it doesn’t smell the same on me any more.

In the past I’ve used L’air du temps, Opiym,Rive Gauche,Fidji and Shalimar.

Aqua Manda what a blast from the past! My first perfume was Pretty peach from Avon that my grandma used to get for me.

I have always loved to use Eden by Cacherell

My first job after leaving school in the late 70s was at Dickins&Jones in Regent St.
I was a junior clerk for the Perfumery Buyer, who was a lovely man.
The job was my introduction to a brand new world of expensive fragrances and makeup- up till then I was a Rimmel girl I still like Guerlain fragrances, particularly Mitsouko but my budget won’t stretch anymore!

I always used to wear Paco Rabanne XS which unfortunately is now discontinued. My daughter found me a bottle a while ago but asked me to keep a little in the bottom so she could have the occasional sniff, once I’ve passed away, to remind her of me.
Now I’ve moved onto CK Elegance.

I don't wear perfume often but still use old favourites Guerlains Shalimar and Samsara, and Flower by Kenzo.

I like whatever anyone gives me or I get in the charity shop

Lime,Basil and mandarin. For a few years now

I loved Aqua Manda in my20s.

I used to wear Diorissimo. I still love the smell of it.

I don't wear perfume now but now my GSs say I smell of old ladies. Which is slightly better than smelling of old men I suppose.

For many years now my favourite every day fragrance is Clarins Eau Dynamisante. Another favourite is Thierry Mugler Angel but its a bit heavy for every day use.

Elizabeth Arden: Blue Grass in winter, it has such a warm sweet smell
Dior: Diorissimo in summer. It is the closest sent I know to the smell of lily-in-the-valley.

I have always loved perfume and never leave the bedroom in the morning without having had a spray.

I always use Clinique Aromatics nowadays because one of the grandchildren called it 'ma's lovely smell'.

At the moment I like I Want Choo by Jimmy Choo. Daft name but lovely perfume.

Perfumes are my biggest weakness. They are regularly gifted to me - Easter/ Christmas/ Birthday/ Mother's Day... and there are always a couple I'm on the lookout for.
