Manslaughter does not carry a mandatory prison sentence. If only prison was a place where there were genuine rehabilitation there might be a point, or we had places fitting that bill for community sentencing.
I asked if the poster disagreed with the verdict, not with the sentencing.

I wasn't referring to your post, but had been following up interest in manslaughter and prison sentences after earlier posts from others who had referred to prison. (to see how unusual it was to get the length of sentence she did), also concern about how she could best be sentenced.
No, it's not unusual and the judge stated thst the sentence was lenient on the grounds of her health. The sentences were concurrent.
She will serve two-thirds in custody then be eligible for parole.
