Question About a 1948 Sunbeam Mixmaster Lemon Pie Recipe
As I closed the last kitchen I feel I should open a new one as I think that Soop is in a predicament with the weather.
So on her behalf I welcome you all to visit and enjoy our new space.
Please feel free to bring your sorrows and worries as well as your joys and happy times.
There is always someone to congratulate and to commiserate.
A newish year and a very new kitchen, a meeting place for all.
Dearest Baggs you are surrounded with the love of we Kitcheners. With affectionate thoughts from we two.
I feel blest to have you lovely lot for support. Thank you.
Good morning everyone! Well done. Naughtyneine for harnessing the goddess. Ours came out yesterday to do an evening meal for DS and family. I can hear DH emptying and refilling the dishwasher while I am still in bed. The new knee started to complain so it’s a lazy day today. Tomorrow we have DGS (11) DGD (8) and DGGS (3) from about 7.30 am. That’s going to be fun - it’s the first time the littlest has been in the equation and he drives DGD mad. She isn’t the most patient child!
Lots of breakfast and lunch goods ready and waiting.
Also hoping the washing machine is finally repaired. It’s been 3 weeks!!
We had an inch or so of snow last night but it’s gone this morning.
Thinking of you with love Baggs.
Does anyone remember Galen? I’ve not seen her for a long time.
Baggs... Another ' first ' that you have braved. I wish you peace and time....to take stock...regroup and go forward in the amazing and inspirational way you have fur the last year.🌹
Soop...Mr Soop and you have been through so much just recently..I hope the coming weeks bring you both a more gentle time.
Granmarie..A belated Happy Anniversary...
Yia.... Lots of positive wishes coming your way.
The domestic goddess made a forced appearance yesterday as friends were over for dinner. She even folded napkins into heart shapes. Needless to say she is utterly exhausted now...so she's of to bed. Slutty housewife will be back in place tomorrow.
Baggs kindest thoughts to you and your family.
I have given up looking at my smart meter. It is so cold I need the heating on, end of.
For various reasons, a quiet day indoors, but I feel tomorrow will be better, and I may even achieve something.
TV for me has bordered on dire so it was paper scrunching instead tonight.
Please look after yourselves.
Hello kitchen people.
🌹🌹🌹Baggs and the Soops.
I was in bed at 9 pm. I was pretty tired.
I drove our daughter to our lunch venue today. OH said he would drive us but suddenly had double vision as he was about to back his car out of the garage. He has had this before. Anyway we had a delicious lunch. I then drove daughter to the station for her train back to London.
I have had a slightly painful bitten tongue the last few days. I can still eat but am careful not to scrunch it again. I am off to Australia on Tuesday so thought I’d pop into a Pharmacist tomorrow and ask for advice.
I had a good chat with my brother last night. We are looking forward to seeing each other soon. He is very unwell but will do his best to celebrate his birthday.
Have a good rest of the evening.

Great to hear from you, Soop, I'm glad MrSoop is on the mend, hope you get some relief soon.
Hope your trip to the ' pictures' turns out better than expected, Grandmabatty. I'm watching the old BJ movies on Channel 5, just in case my sisters suggest going to see the new one.

Chicken curry and nan bread for dinner, Saturday quizzes on TV 📺, wishing everyone a peaceful Saturday evening and a good night's sleep. TOYA.
Baggs sending you much love and a gentle hug ❤️
baggs, a very hard week for you, try to get some rest and relaxation this weekend.
soop I hope something can be done for your hernia. Pleased that mrsoop is recovering from his virus.
A bright morning here, but raining now. Decided not to go for a walk this morning, it was so cold and I don’t like having to dodge the dog training class! Did a very little gardening, have decided to resurrect the compost bins so spent a little time moving flower pots around to make room for the bins. I need to get rid of a lot of the flower/plant pots, watering all the plants in the summer is exhausting.
grandmabatty I hope you enjoy Bridget Jones, my DDs are going to see it tomorrow morning, but I’m not a great one for sitting still for a couple of hours, my back is too painful for that!
Have a good evening everyone, keep warm and dry!
A big hug from me Baggs🌹and love to the Soops ❤️
DH has had his first routine scans today.I’m very positive for a good outcome as his colonoscopy was clear but, always a a little niggle.Life goes on eldest DGS is on his way to Austria skiing he’s so excited. They are going by coach twenty five 18 year olds on a coach for 24 hours.😂😂It will be good for him he has been studying so hard for his A levels.
Chicken tray bake for dinner and a cheeky french rose.
Have a good evening all.
Baggs💐thinking of you and yours.
soop, I am so glad Mr soop is feeling better and really hope the surgeon has positive ideas for dealing with the hernia🤞🏻
Hope the film is better than you are thinking it will be Grandmabatty. Not really my cup of tea either. My daughters can’t wait to watch it.

Thinking of you Baggs on what must have been a tough week 💐

Belated Anniversary wishes Grannmarie 💐🥂
baggs sending love and
.
Baggs, thinking of you and your family. 💕🙏💐
Baggs a virtual hug from me and Soop 💐. You have a lot to deal with.
Off to the cinema tonight. I'm not looking forward to it because I don't like the series of films- Bridget Jones - but I was asked so I'm going. An outing is good. Enjoy your evening Kitcheners.
Bagga, I am just popping out of the quiet corner to give you a gentle hug. This week must gave been so hard. Well done on coping.
Soop, as baggs says, we do miss our one and only when you are missing and you know you are among friends if you need to chat.
Good to see you back in the kitchen, soop! I look in most days and sit in the quiet corner. It's worrying when out original hostess is absent. Love to you and MrS.
I got through what my brain told me was the Death Week (1st anniversary if DD's death) with great aplomb..... until I woke up today feeling utterly washed out with the effort of staying on the ball at work. But that is what the extra work I've taken on is meant to help with. I just have to have recovery time, Hey ho.
Best regards to all Kitcheners old and new
I feel that I have neglected you lovely lot and apologise for my absence.
To be honest with you, the last seven days have thrown up several buggerations. I have no wish to burden you with our ups and downs, hence I have kept silent in the quiet corner.
Our GP phoned late afternoon on Friday. The parastomal hernia is being a right pain. He has seen the scan and has asked the surgeon for his thoughts regarding any further intervention.
Mr Soop is recovering from a virus. He has slept the week away. However, today he seems much more "with it".
My love to every one of our Kitcheners in need of extra tender loving care. Please may the weekend be kind to you.

A very warm welcome Agapanthus. Bless you. I trust that HMRC are sympathetic when you discuss your plight.
Hello. I am new here.
I had a bit of a shock re HMRC today. I was up until much too late researching into whether I had made a horrible error. Or rather they had.... last time this happened it was their fault and I owed them £700 even though they had all the info they needed to avoid that.
I found a very useful charity online (does anyone else know of it? Called Tax Help for Older People taxvol.org.uk) who did not allay my fears when I rang them.
It seems that I have fallen into the trap of not paying money to HMRC when my savings interest went a bit over the limit of what we are allowed for free. Everywhere I read it said that the banks will report it, and HMRC will just change your tax code to pay it off. As if by magic, I thought, given that none of my statements said anything on this subject, which should have rung alarm bells.
It seems that there is no magic, and HMRC make mistakes. I am likely 'under their radar' I was told. So I now likely owe them a couple of years of tax to pay on it and another coming up. Hey ho, a phone call to confess is coming up on Tues at 8 a.m. when I am told it's the best time to ring (not Monday for sure apparently).
I hope the tea and cake here will give me some comfort. Or is it SOOP? I presume this kitchen serves something like this up as well as kindness?
