So angry this morning. Door entry buzzer went at the scheme where I live by the time I had walked from my kitchen to the hallway to answer the delivery man had gone!!! I then got an email to say no one at home!!!
I had to re arrange delivery so decided I will collect from the post office. Why don't they give people time to answer their call??? So annoying 😑

Postman leaves any parcels in garage. Great service.

Video doorbells are quite handy because you can answer from wherever you are, and give instructions then, or if you're the other end of the house and it's going to take you time to get to the door, you can say you're on your way. Of course this only works for those delivery agents who bother to ring the bell.

With some firms, you can arrange for your parcels to be left at a shop or the Post Office. They send you a text when it's ready to be collected.
I have stopped getting things through the post. There has only been one occasion when my parcel was left at the wrong address, but I have several times found other people's parcels thrown over our fence. It's a good job I'm honest!

I have never had a problem with Royal Mail.. either with parcel delivery or with my very charming postman.. I wish people would stop knocking the service..

I must congratulate Royal Mail on their service this week. I posted a parcel 2nd class from Devon to Tyne and Wear on Wednesday and had a phone call on Thursday to say it had arrived! Must be a record.

I use mostly a carrier and have it sent to a shop down the street use my phone to show the code etc
