I was in hospital A month before Christmas with pneumonia. I've since recovered apart from having constant tiredness. I could sleep for Englad but still wake up tired. Anyone else with this problem. Just getting washed and dressed tiredness me out!

My daughter took three months to get fully fit after pneumonia, she was early forties, hopefully each day will see you improving 😀

I hope you are fully recovered from the pneumonia and sorry to hear your energy levels are still so low.

I am recovering from a nasty URTI and I feel tired all the time too.

I am looking for ways to boost my energy levels and apart from taking supplements and regular exercise which are not working for me, I have not come up with anything else.

However, I am still looking and I will share any useful info I may come across.

It does take us a long long time to recover now we are a bit older, but you can always get your GP to test your Vit D and B12 levels and make sure you are getting all the right vits and minerals in your diet.

Hope you feel better soon flowers

Well it took an awfully long time for a neighbour of ours to recover, and I seem to remember Camilla being out of the public eye for a very long time.
Be patient and see this convalescence as a time to relax and catch up with your reading or Netflix etc.
Take care 🌺🙏🏾

I'ts early days for getting over pneumonia. The weather has been grey, wet and cold. The days are short. Even well people are feeling tired. As advised above take life very gently and take time to recover.

Good idea to check out blood vitamin and mineral levels with your GP in case you are
anaemic. I know seeing a GP is easier said than done, but perhaps you can raise an on line request for a blood test in view of having been hospitalized before Christmas and feeling so tired now. Hope you get better soon

Pneumonia is one of those things that leave a long legacy, of tiredness. It can take 6 months tho everyone is different as to time.
Allow yourself to sleep and rest, get some fresh air when possible, eat well and take vitamin supplements especially Vitamin D and B 12 as already mentioned.

I don’t think Camilla is 100% yet. Haven’t seen much of her recently .

Just rest and be kind to yourself. It will take a while to recover. Take each day as it comes and you will get there.

Try a tonic, there are vitamins and gentle iron in Feroglobin, aimed at aiding convalesence. Also Metatone is pretty good. I have tried them when recovering from the flu/covid. It takes time but I do think it helps.

This sounds quite normal to me after pnuemonia, especially at this time of the year and with the depressing weather we are having.

Try though not to sleep too much, but to have intervals of sitting reading or wattching TV, a short walk outside if the weather is good enough and then more rest.

Try to eat good nutritrious food and get plenty of fluids.

Hope you soon feel better.

Your body has had a rough ride. Give it a chance.
My mother in law would always recommend a tonic - perhaps some multivitamins might help a little? Make sure you stay well hydrated and eat well too.

Having a serious illness can take it out of you and don’t try to doo too much. As they say pace yourself you will recover quicker in the end

I got pneumonia a year ago and was hospitalised, it took me about 6 months to get my strength back and I've found high doses of vitamin D have helped me alot.
Get well soon 💐

Having had half my pancreas removed in April due to cancer I’m only now starting to get over the fatigue, tiredness, and total lack of motivation.
It will take as long as it takes and worrying is the last thing you should do.
I found it difficult at first because I couldn’t do things around the house and if I did manage to do something small I would really suffer the next day. I’d be wiped out.
So I learned to let things go. It bothered me that my house became a tip and it’s only now that I’m just about well enough to tackle a small area a day.
I even had my dsis to come and do my dishes one day because I couldn’t stand to do them.

Take your time and don’t rush.
You’ll get there in the end.
You need this time to rest and heal, don’t t feel guilty about the time it’s taking as that will hinder your recovery.

Get some good food inside of you. Plenty of fruit and veg. Lots of fluids.
Stay in bed and go on gransnet for support and then go down on the settee and either read or catch up on some really good films and tv series and box sets.

All the best to you and I hope you start to feel better.
Sending prayers, hugs and kind thoughts to you 🙏🫂💭💐
