The other pictures posted of that poor Palestinian man show him a few months previously, looking well, and the other one looking so ill just before he died of cancer. He was too young but so are others, some of whom I knew, who have also died far too young from this. 😥

Re- freedom fighters.

Twisting what has been said doesn’t help.

It is the Palestinians who see Hamas as freedom fighters. I can see why the Palestinians do so. All freedom fighters are accused of atrocities and being terrorists by the other side. It is the way things are.

It is useful to have a historical perspective on the situation, perhaps starting in 1948, - only then can you begin to understand why we are where we are.

I cannot compare Sinn Fein with Hamas ,I can see it makes Hamas seem less vile to support them, together with

There has been so much footage and reports of Israeli behaviour that we can be in no doubt that it is frequently both as criminal and bad as Hamas.

The difference is that they have the wests support with all that entails.

However, I see so much that I am in absolutely in no doubt that it does indeed take place.

I wish it wasn’t so, but I can’t turn away from the facts.

I do not believe Hamas to be freedom fighters. I believe they are terrorists. I do not believe they can be bombed into oblivion. I’m concerned the devastation of Gaza will prove to be a recruiting ground to replace those killed.

There has been to some kind of diplomatic solution. Neighbouring countries don’t want to absorb more Palestines in part because of the fear Hamas will infiltrate and destabilise Egypt and Jordan.

Suggesting some see Hamas as freedom fighters is realistic. We all lived through the Troubles and now see Sinn Fein winning 7 seats in 2024 though it continues its policy of abstentionism at Westminster. The current President, Mary Lou McDonald succeeded Gerry Adam’s. Acknowledging this doesn’t make me a terrorist supporter.

IF Palestinian prisoners (who were terrorists, let’s remember) have been released in such an awful emaciated state it’s not like Hamas to let an opportunity of photographing them, for the world to see, to go by.

In my opinion no photographic evidence = it hasn’t happened.

Lately I have seen and heard many testimonies of Gazans prisoners that were returned from the detention camps to Gaza in the framework of the agreements that were signed. This was found on the net. You can see it just about anywhere. They look just like our kidnapped: hungry, sensitive, beaten, sick, broken and running. Their stories about what happens in our camps are threatening and monstrous. I don't pity them and I won't say it because I love them or think that their actions are justified. I despise them and have no respect, appreciation or understanding for their actions just because I'm a liberal and moral. They acted like animals without morality and compassion and they don't deserve any word of understanding for the war they opened against us and hurt us. It wasn't a war, it's barbarism to its name [and I place a moment of history of what brings people to this. I'm sorry, but I'm having trouble understanding the massive and brutal damage to their neighbors in the Kibbutz and Nova].

The videos that are being published from our side and from the other side have pushed me into complete despair. We do to them what they do to us, and they do to us what we do to them. Hamas has no pity for the suffering if Gaza’s deliberately used hospitals and schools as military base, they dont care how many are killed in their crusade to destroy Israel.

As for 16 yr old children being imprisoned, a child of that age is just a deadly as an adult with a weapon - as we are finding out in our own schools in the UK and certainly the US.

Some of those teenagers are deadly with sling shots.

At .east one hostage was held in a UNRWA facility.

The actions of Hamas on 7/10 and in general are in my belief, inexcusable. Having said that, I can’t condone the murderous bombing of Gaza. It’s inevitable that this will create more Palestinians who support Hamas.
The fragile peace in Northern Ireland came about because of diplomacy. Of the willingness of politicians to sit down and negotiate with terrorists.

As is often repeated on these discussions, one persons terrorist is another persons freedom fighter. It used to be said that the IRA would bomb the British to the negotiating table. Netenyahu’s stated aim of killing / getting rid of Hamas is unattainable, that much is obvious.
