Do you love to lounge?

I wore formal clothing when working so always changed when I got home.

Now I spend as much time as I can in the garden, so garden type clothing until the winter when it’s just relaxed type of stuff. I am guilty however of putting on a thick dressing gown in the morning to make a cup of tea, feed the cat (😊) and birds, then not dressing until I’ve finished the housework. Which is a bit daft as my dressing gowns need too frequent washing. Must try to change that habit.

This time of year, I am in my pyjamas and dressing gown soon after 5.

If anyone comes to the door, highly unlikely, I look quite decent.

I don't change into loungewear.
But then perhaps my usual day-time wear is more comfy than smart and uncomfortable.

The only time I might wear pjs and a dressing gown is if I'm feeling unwell but not ill enough to stay in bed.

Looking smart and being uncomfortable do not necessarily go together. I like to look smart - and usually do, but never, if it means wearing clothes or shoes I am uncomfortable in.

I also share your last sentence Allira. I have one fluffy track suit that I wear only on days when, as you say, I am unwell, but not ill enough to stay in bed. Mostly worn when I have migraine.

You can do an awful lot of fidgeting if only heating one room, plus of course it depends on which room you choose to heat.

I just wear what I’m wearing till bedtime, I really couldn’t be bothered to get changed. Then again my day clothes aren’t what you’d call uncomfortable (I’m finding it hard to imagine clothes that are, really, unless you’re something like a corporate city lawyer or a pole dancer, both far from my reality). I never wear shoes indoors but don’t wear slippers either - I go barefoot in summer and keep the socks on in winter.

Since Covid we baton down the hatches by 6.30pm. Change into our fleece pj bottoms but I always wear t-shirt & cotton hoodie. Incase I am called out in an emergency.
Bed time I change again into a cotton nightgown as I couldn’t where fleecey clothes to bed, I’d be wet through.
My mum on the other hand will be up, fully dressed until 10 pm. She wouldn’t dream of sitting around in her dressing gown. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting scrunched up on the couch wearing jeans. Now I would draw the line of going to the shop in my pjs, which I have seen many times 😩

In fact, I heard that our local Tesco’s has banned anyone entering the store to shop, if they are wearing pyjamas.

People do tend to drop in unexpectedly when I'm having a bad hair day.
In fact, every day's a bad hair day unless I tame it, otherwise I look like Worzel Gummidge, minus the hat.

No, I keep my day clothes on until bedtime.
I'm often out in the garden with the dogs late in the evening so prefer to be fully dressed.

I don’t think I own ‘loungewear’. I just wear comfortable clothes most of the time, and am happy to lounge in them.

If anyone called uninvited they would have to take me as they found me. Until bathtime it would be legging/jeggings and a long jumper, which is perfectly respectable I think . If my scrubbed face upset them I could offer to put a bag over my head. I am not sitting in my own house in uncomfortable clothes on the offchance that someone takes it upon themselves to drop in.

I love to lounge .We eat dinner about 6ish and then it's into PJs and a lovely cosy fleece hoodie if we're in for the night.Plus some cosy sliper socks.Bliss.But in the mornings I'm up and fully dressed. I can't do chores or get going if I'm still in nightwear.

I always change after going out even to the supermarket. I put on clothes that my DH used to call 'my scruffs'
Jogging bottoms and a t shirt or jumper that may have seen better days but are comfy and I don̈t mind if I splash them or drop something on them. My current hobby is painting so am quite likely to get some on my clothes. They are clean but old and comfy.

Glad I'm not the only one- I was beginning to think I was some kind of freak because I get dressed in a morning and then undressed when I get into bed.

Even during Covid I got dressed every day.

Some people are just... I don't know what to say. My day clothes are pretty comfy. I'd hate to get into bed with clothes on I'd been wearing all day! Ulgh!

My daytime clothes are comfortable to lounge in, but I am not a lounger or a tv watcher. I prefer to sit on a chair at a table or desk and read. For me lounging is a sign of my ill health.

Same as I always get up and dress, hair and makeup in the morning, can’t hang around in my night things.
But, to be fair, I’m very comfortable, curled up wearing a stretchy tube skirt, and an oversized warm jumper

Yes, I lounge. At this time of year it's mostly leggings, long jumpers and DMs by day, and pyjamas and slippers at night.

Comfort all the way for me. I live in leggings and baggy tops anyway, but can't wait to get my jammies on as soon as I can!
