I will admit I love to change into nice comfy loungewear when at home, I have nice fleece lined track suit bottoms and matching top that are like a big warm hug. When I visted a friend the other night I found her still wearing smart day wear which looking terribly uncomfortable for tucking your legs up to watch the telly, and wondered, do you lounge or do you wear your day clothes all day and night??

Yup, love to chill, or laxesround in extremely casual clothes or even nightwear when at home!

Jammies on as I write and cosy dressing gown too

I can’t wait to change into my ‘comfies’ when I get home. My excuse is it keeps my smarter clothes clean for longer and well away from dog hairs.

I’m definitely a lounger.

In my dressing gown. Warm and cosy. I always change out of my daytime clothes in the early evening.

No worries about anyone visiting, weekends or evenings, so I pop on my p.js. by 6pm , and Snuggle into my cosy chair to relax.

Yep love to change into my Fatface pyjama bottoms and a fleecy top from late afternoon onwards in this cold weather.

In the autumn/winter I change into my pj's at about 4pm, occasionally earlier. If im not working I will wear pj's in the morning until I've finished housework

No, I’m keen on loungewear. It makes me feel I’m recovering from an illness, tucked up on the sofa, like when I was a child! My daytime clothes aren’t formal, though, jeans and jumpers mostly.

Yes, I change into my comfies which , depending on the temperature outside, can be an oodie, or fleecy pyjamas with a snowman, or woolly jumper and leggings or a long cashmere nightie. I love to lounge.

Funny how times have changed. My mother was always well turned out. A tweed skirt, woolen top or blouse. A nice little gold link watch, earrings, makeup, stockings and court shoes. In later life Marks and Spencers trousers and a Windsmoor coat.

She wouldn't be impressed by my appearance.

As soon as I’m in for the night, it’s a quick shower then into either dressing gown or a onesie……
The minute I’m in the door, it’s shoes off slippers on

I certainly do!

I have a friend who drives round to spend the evening in pjs & dressing gown, & brings slippers. I’m usually in tracksuit bottoms, cosy jumper and slippers. I couldn’t relax in daytime clothes once home for the evening, but never get into pjs until bedtime.

Yes my old mum would be wearing her tartan pleated skirt and cashmere navy jumper with a single string of pearls, lipstick at the ready in case someone knocked. We joked that she put on her lippy to put the washing out. She was a good looking woman till the day she died and took great pride in her appearence. She would only change into a nylon nightie at bedtime worn with a purple velvet dressing gown.

We've just got in from a late Sunday lunch with family. Lounge wear on straight away.

bathsalts Sun 09-Feb-25 20:21:06

I'm afraid there isn't much distinction between lounge wear and day wear for me. No shopping in PJ's though.

Aveline Sun 09-Feb-25 20:25:28

I live in my 'comfies' all day anyway. I occasionally change into something marginally smarter for special outings.

BlueBelle Sun 09-Feb-25 20:31:19

Yes come 6 pm curtains closed and trackies on snd most important of all BRA OFF

My day time clothes are perfectly comfortable for putting my feet up so all I change usually is my footwear for some cozy slippers.

I don't have any PJs 🫣 or lounge wear. If I'm honest I've never really understood lounge wear, I think I must have been skiving off when that memo came out.

Babs03 Sun 09-Feb-25 20:37:36

Shoes off at the door as well and slippers on. Can't understand people who clomp around in shoes indoors.

If you mean joggers and top, yes, I do

Yes, by lounge wear I include any combo that is comfy and loungy. My OH prefers joggers and a rather tatty old sweatshirt.

A lounge suit very similar to yours Babs
