Digging over a patch of garden this morning, I unearthed a whole, unbroken , brown egg, with the lion stamp. We are quite rural, but our garden is hedged all around. I cannot think how it might have got there. Any ideas ?

A fox once ate one and a half of my small granddaughter’s sandals, which she had left in the garden. They will eat anything!

If you find tiny nut saplings growing in pots or in the lawn, it was probably a bird from the crow family that put the nut there.

My neighbour lost one shoe from a pair of Birkenstocks left by the back door. Had to be a fox.
