I need a new hobby, I need my legs to heal quicker so I can drive and be independent.

Iam64 it is just so frustrating and has really been an eye opener to me.

I am so used to jumping in my car and going here there and everywhere, I miss walking to the gym and exercising.

I am not very good at asking people to do/get things for me.

Trying to improve my patience threshold should be my next resolution

That really made me laugh GrannyGravy. I was confined to barracks for several weeks, unable to drive for 4 months last year. The high spot of my week was being collected by youngest D, driven to Tesco to buy ready chopped vegetables and ready meals.
My injury was a broken shoulder. It sounds minimal but it was so restricting and painful. The joy when I could begin to chop veg to make soup or a casserole still makes my eyes leaky

I read poorly written police procedurals, watched ancient episodes of Derry Girls or Morse and slept on the sofa with my nurse, aka that spaniel.

Get well soon. Being confined to barracks is tough. It reminded me how dependent I am on being independent, as well as the positives I get from walking my dogs and tidying my garden. I’ve always valued the day but last year slammed that home

When I tore the ligament in my knee a year ago I was watching random web cams from both the UK and abroad, poor MrJ had my running commentary

Oh GrannyGravy I can only wish you a speedy recovery. I will say, however, that Peppa is a well spoken and courteous pig - you could be watching worse ..

I have reached the point in my recovery where the news of Mummy Pig (of Peppa Pig fame) is expecting her third baby in the summer was actually interesting

I watched a reporter on the show biz section of breakfast news interview a cartoon pig!

I have even put it on the family WhatsApp group chat 🤦‍♀️

What have you resorted to doing whilst confined to barracks
