Auntieflo (A message from her DD)

I am Auntieflo’s DD, and I introduced her to this site some years ago, as I enjoy Mumsnet- (under another name.)

Auntieflo wanted her friends on here (Greenfinch and others) to know that she has been quite unwell for some time and was admitted to hospital over 2 weeks ago. She has now sadly deteriorated and is for Palliative Care only.

She has been referred to the local hospice, so if any of you pray, please pray that a space can be found for her soon as it will be a much more peaceful environment for her there than the hospital.

She is currently in a 2 bed bay, and I have said I could read her any replies that she gets when I visit again tomorrow.

Thank you to anyone who has chatted and met up with her over the years.

So sorry to hear of this. I met with Auntflo at some meetings, and always read her comments on here. So good that you were able to be with her at the end. What more can most of us ask for. Condolences to her family and all those close to her. Sadness at death is the price we pay for Love in life.
It is very good of you to take time to keep us all informed.

It's hardly 10 days since she was joking with me and I threatened to send in the Grans unless she promised to get better! And now you say that her lovely light's gone out.

She will be so missed - and I hope, Grannylicious, that you know how loved she was and that being there with her to the end will have been some comfort to both of you during all your sorrow.

My sincere condolences to you and your family. May you soon have so many happy memories of your wonderful Mum safely held in your heart always. 💔

I am so very sorry to hear the sad news about AuntieFlo I looked forward to her posting and she seemed a lovely lady.
