I have drink lots of water and always have, yesterday I mislaid my water bottle which is never far from my person, I was in a panic until I found it!

I never saw either of my parents drink water, if mother needed to take a pill she could swallow it down without!

I do wonder is my consumption a habit or a necessity?

To me it seems more like OCD as it seems to be misplacing the bottle that's got you all in a tiz! You can always take a glass fill it and drink water from the tap

I asked a boy at school if there was a water dispenser, because quite a few children were taking plastic cups out of the classroom. His reply was “Yes,it’s called a tap!

I had a blood test in the late morning after only having one mug of coffee. Dr rang me to say my red blood cell count was extremely high. She asked what I'd had to drink as it can be caused by dehydration, or can be a serious problem. They repeated it a month later and I made sure I'd had plenty to drink. It was normal. Since drinking more fluids I've much more energy. I drink coffee, water and Ribena. Sugar free drinks upset my stomach so I can't have them all the time. Never drunk out of bottles or cans, always cups or glasses.

I only drink water, no juice, no coffee, no tea, no wine, never anything but bottled carbonated flavoured water. I don't panic if I haven't got it with me, I just buy another. I have a lot of blood tests due to kidneys, liver function etc and they are always fine. I keep hydrated because I need to. My Consultants would bend my ears otherwise.

So in my case it's not generational but it keeps me healthy.

I absolutely LOVE cold water and guzzle gallons of it each day/night, even sitting on the edge of my bed late night/early hours drinking it! I drink more than I eat and am always on the milk/flavoured, pop, PG Tips tea!

I have 3 metal bottles on my bedside table - water, Robinsons juice and fizzy - one on my livingroom desk with cold water, and 2 on my work's desk with cold water so I never panic if I mislay a bottle only to find it later!

I would say mine's a necessity but I have to admit it's a bit of an obsession! As soon as I get up from bed, straight after the loo I'm into the water where I can easily finish an entire bottle then refill it!
