Ok if you have that inclination.
And time.
And energy.

But there are other people who dont.
They may be
putting food on table
Giving birth
Childcare
Looking after elderly or dying parents
Multiple hospital visits
Massive failing health

Amongst many other things.
I can add to that list, or others can.

I would say though, that Politics is far from the answer to everything in the Universe. Very far from it.

I have seen it for years.
On forums and in real life.
As if Politics should be the very centre of a persons' being.
And if not, why not?

And my gosh if someone does not even have any interest in it.
Well there must be something wrong with them. or worse, They are derelict in their duty to the world.

What rubbish.

Rant over,

That has been in me for a while.Years.

I couldnt care less if anyone replies.
Good or bad.
I just needed to say it!

I tend to steer clear of this subject now as it causes too many arguments and a lot of people aren't bothered.

It can be interesting and informative, and a chance to educate ourselves. However, when discussions go from addressing core issues to casting blame and finding scapegoats little is actually achieved.

I find a lot of it toxic and some people who have very strong views are often blinded by them and can't see any other point of view( I have to listen to 2 of them ranting away at work every day). It's not that I'm totally switched off by politics, just I don't align with any party and haven't for decades.

Busy weekend so just catching up. I don't have allegiance to any political party either but I find that allows me more interest in politics in general. Not being interested in how we are governed seems strange to me - that's all politics is. Finding those who are both open-minded and happy to discuss isn't always easy but it's worthwhile when you do.
