Good afternoon,
a pleasant day weatherwise as it’s much less breezy than yesterday and so feels warmer. The sun we had first thing is covered by high cloud just now, but perhaps it will brighten up again.
I’ve put some washing out so hope that will dry.
It sounds as if some of you are enjoying lovely, relaxing holidays.
Sending get well wishes to all of you feeling under par today.

(48 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley , been trying to adjust my sleeping pattern with the hour difference.
Today , the usual bus trip to Bicester , do a bit of shopping and hopefully have a chat with those I know.
Health is OK ,
Take Care,
Mick
Safe journey back mamaa sounds a wonderful time
Good morning from FGT’s current neck of the woods. Our cruise ship has docked in Alicante for the day, we fly home from Palma tomorrow😢
We have had a great time,14 days in total 7 of which were very relaxing sea days as we crossed the Atlantic from the Caribbean to here.
Although quite windy at times, the crossing wasn’t ‘rough’ and the sun has been present for all the 2 weeks.
Back to reality tomorrow, should be home by mid afternoon if the M25 behaves itself! Any bets as to how soon after we get in the house that the washer is put to good use?😉 ( and we’ve done a wash load whilst being on board!)
Good wishes to all, and hope those not feeling great for whatever reason get some respite from it all. xx
Good morning all. I'm all 'out of sync' as I stayed overnight at the girls' house. It was a hectic day yesterday, but so enjoyable. I love spending time with DD and her girls - it's so special.
There was lots of contact with my two boys as well - and flowers galore!!
DD and DGD1 had had a wonderful break together in Amsterdam - DGD would definitely go back. It was a lovely memory to pack away with all the others of her 21st birthday.
Now I have to drag myself back home (where I am informed by DS1 that more flowers await me!) and get out to a tai chi committee meeting this afternoon. I feel totally brain dead and still exhausted, so it will only my body that will be there!
Enjoy today and the lovely weather everyone. Madeleine and Marydoll I hope you both feel better as the day goes on.
Good morning all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Too many chocolates consumed yesterday. I’m unable to eat three or four…also painted a few greetings cards.
Off this afternoon to a monthly folk session and will sing a few ditties so need to have a warm up. It’s all very casual.
Hope your exercise class goes well Ash and thoughts to all🌺
Good morning from a sunny W Kent. A very busy weekend with DH's birthday going well and everyone who was supposed to be with us turning up. Yesterday DS fed us and I have some flowers filling the living room.
Very best wishes to all
Good morning from a lovely sunny Wiltshire.
We had a hectic weekend. On Friday afternoon we visited DD2 and family who gave me some gifts including a box of chocolates chosen by DGS2 who handed them to me and immediately asked if he could have one. The answer was no as they were champagne truffles. On Saturday we stayed overnight with DD1 and family and we went out for an Indian
in Twyford which was superb. Yesterday we went to DS and family for pizzas in their very hot garden. Their dog Luna was very pleased to see me.
This week is looking fantastic weather wise. Have a good day everyone. Hope you have better luck with medics this week MD.
We are promised a beautiful fortnight so I am putting together a list of suitable, outdoor jobs as I feel, like Wind in the Willows’ Mole, a need to be outside. Cleaning of outside furniture top priority, I think. Hope we all enjoy this brief burst of spring.
Good morning from a pleasant Co Armagh
An afternoon in the raised bed and round the patio yesterday means my view is much improved
We emptied pots with dead pelargonium , one had mystery bulbs in , but it was unceremoniously dumped ! Lots of empty pots might be fill when our village club has a trip to a garden center on Wednesday
I’m hoping my sunglasses lenses can be fitted into another frame , the leg of the sunglasses has broken , so we will pop along to Specsavers today to check it out
The lenses are varifocals so cost a lot
Hoping our poorly enjoy a better day 💐
Good morning from an overcast NE but a forecast for 15 degrees, that counts as summer in my neck of the woods.
No visitors yesterday, just a quiet day pottering.
Put my flowers into vases and then sorted out my wine that I ordered last week.
I was really very tired all day and had to stop myself nodding off otherwise I wouldn't have slept last night.
Another quiet day today.
Morning from a sunny S Hants, I had a lovely day yesterday, roast at my daughters, later met up with my son, lovely flowers and cards from both.
MrJ is still not well, gastroenteritis of some sort, he’s also fed up, he never gets ill.
Voluntary phone today, it’ll either be quiz just for me tonight, or I might not go.
🦩🦩
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A milder day here.
An excellent but sad concert at our art centre, which has closed for ever after 50 years.
3 of us abandoned mums later
went for a curry. It was a fun evening but either I'm allergic to chilli or I ate too much but I was up half the night in pain. 😫
Today gentle exercise class. Then my 12 week post hip replacement op. On- line! I can only do zoom on my phone so I hope that works.
A couple of Australian helpers are arriving today too so no rest for the wicked. I must check beds and toilet supplies, oh and food!
Enjoy the holiday Bellasnanna.
Lovely to read all the happy stories on here.
Take care and keep well everyone.
Good morning from sunny N.Bucks. This time last year we had a flurry of snow.
I shall make some soup this morning and clean the cupboard under the kitchen sink.
WI sewing club this afternoon and then on to Costco to stock up with a few items.
Kid thoughts to all with worries or illness and a good day wished for all.
Good morning Michael and all GNs from a sunny, cool South Yorkshire. I woke up in the early hours with an excruciating burning cramp in my entire left leg and was limping round the bedroom for ages trying to shake it off. Consequently I have woken up late.
Yesterday, DD came over with a chicken chasseur and home made bread that SiL had made, and chocolate mousse for afters. While SiL watched GS playing in a football match against our local village team, DD and I went for a walk round the head of the valley. It was very breezy but enjoyable to be walking the lanes. Crops in the fields are looking good. DH always liked to watch the farming year go round here.
Today is a we’ll see day. Ironing at some stage probably.
Have the best day you can folks.
Morning all from a bright but chilly S E Essex.
Off to the gym first thing, then I need to feed the washing machine, before school pick up.
Thinking of our poorly friends 🌸
Good morning Mick and All from a sunny, warming up South Bucks.
I absolutely love the ever increasing light evenings. It lifts my spirits.
Catching up with paperwork today, which I don’t enjoy.
Good morning from Cambridgeshire. Another one here who struggles with the clock change not really sure why it seems to affect me🤷♀️
Yesterday was spent with DD2 and family. We had an excellent (but rather expensive) lunch out in a new venue for us but everyone enjoyed it the food & service was excellent and we enjoyed a walk afterwards. On return home DD1 phoned for a lovely long chat.
Today we are doing our normal four mile walk to kickstart another week on our diet!!
Do hope everyone has the best day possible.
Another lovely sunny Suffolk so good morning to all. Yesterday was very enjoyable with seeing DS and family and having phone calls from the DDs. The house is now adorned with 4 vases of beautiful and different flowers. It was quite a hunt for a 4th tall enough container.
A much quieter day today with a trip to the library to return books after our dog walk and then an afternoon in the summerhouse perhaps. The ironing can wait.
Hope all have a good day.
Good morning from cloudy but dry Carlisle. We did have a lovely, rosy dawn though.
Yesterday was beautiful in the afternoon, very sunny and at last it's warming up, I've been so cold the last day or two with the sudden drop in temperature we've had. I got out in the garden and put several new alpines in. I was pleased to find that plants that I'd thought had been killed off by the frosts, are suddenly popping up new shoots.
Today, the usual round of bed changing and routine chores to leave the rest of the week freer for more pleasant things. Mondays seem to come round twice a week, as do all the other days! When I hear young people also commenting on time flying by, I'm wondering if the laws of physics have changed....
I hope to go out for a walk this afternoon, spurred on by the sight of my expanding gut when I got up earlier! Probably a result of the extra baking I've been doing recently.
I hope all you poorly people have an improving day, best wishes from me.
I can’t believe this is the last day of March, this year just seems to be racing along.
Good morning all. It’s dry here in South Lanarkshire, a grew decent days are forecast.
Marydoll, sorry you’re having such a trying time.
Yesterday was quiet, DD and her girls visited for a while after their shopping trip. Lovely to see them as always.
DH has to go to a health centre in the next town where they have a drop in centre for blood tests. Quicker than waiting for a slot in our surgery.
Afterwards I’ll take the opportunity to return a jacket I’ve been dithering over and have finally decided doesn’t suit me.
Not a lot else planned so will just see where the day takes me.
Bonnybanko has been posting on Facebook so perhaps she’s just having a break from Gransnet, Monk.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a bright Black Country.
A gorgeous sunny day yesterday. Drove over to DS's with Mum where we had an excellent Beef dinner. Takes well over an hour to drive there. I had a Marian Keyes book and flowers. DD gave me a Next jumper and bath bombs. So very spoilt.
Usual Monday walk this morning, then Line Dancing this afternoon. Hopefully have enough energy to tidy the patio and garage afterwards.
Wishing you all the best day possible.
Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.
Quiet day ahead after a too busy weekend, not that I complain as it was all very enjoyable. Somehow I’ve acquired a sore throat, home remedies and a rest are self prescribed. There are worse things.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning everybody from sunny Málaga. Another fine day ahead with a high of 24°C forecast. Apparently it’s going to rain Thursday for 3 days so I’m glad we’re headed home on Wednesday teatime!
We’re staying more ‘local’ today. Arroyo. See pic I took there on Thursday. It’s only a short walk. Coffee first at our favourite cafe bar opposite the police station (where we hold our LWW gatherings now too) then into the centre. There’s a ferriteria in the Gamonal area there where we’ll be headed to have our new passport details ‘shrunk’ and laminated. We carry these tiny copies around when out and about as acceptable I.D.
After that AF beers, people watching in a partly shady spot and perhaps share a pizza for a late lunch.
Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.
Today it's bed changing, ironing and admin and hopefully get out for a walk by the sea.
Enjoy the sun everyone and have a good day xx
