Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley , been trying to adjust my sleeping pattern with the hour difference.
Today , the usual bus trip to Bicester , do a bit of shopping and hopefully have a chat with those I know.
Health is OK ,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Malta where we expect a cloudy day with a high of 17°C and a chance of showers.

After a very lazy weekend my batteries are sufficiently charged to start another week with he boys. I shall be going over shortly. I do miss them and look forward to seeing their little faces.

Wishing you all a good day and a happy week.☀️

Ashcombe Mon 31-Mar-25 05:50:29

Good morning from a still dark Torbay where we shall probably see sunshine but tempered by the chilly wind.

Today I plan to go to Move It or Lose It for the first time in many weeks. I expect I shall have to sit for the exercises as I’m not too steady on my pins still. The teacher is very understanding and many of the participants are old (we all are!!) friends.

I hope you continue to feel you have enough energy to cope with your lovely grandsons, Bellasnana. They sound delightful.

A good week to all and I hope those who are unwell feel better soon, including Marydoll. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and dry. Too dark to tell what the weather will be, but the forecast is good.
Yesterday was a very quiet day. I visited mum then pottered about until a surprise visit from the family with flowers and a card.
Today is early childcare day. School drop off, then a couple of hours in the library before returning home. I'm going to make chocolate chip cookies for the boys. I have a Tesco delivery due after I pick them up, so it's all go. Have a good day all

Sallyforth Mon 31-Mar-25 05:54:25

Good morning Mick and all from a dark but dry morning in Cheshire. I've given up trying to regularise my sleep pattern. I wake around 4.30 and that's it for the day.

The blackbirds are awake too and singing loudly out there. I noticed yesterday that the wren's nest beneath my cabin roof has collapsed, although I heard the wren yesterday, so it's nearby.

I'm recovering from a few days feeling decidedly off, so I've cancelled all appointments and will take the day as it comes. I look forward to reading what busy days others will have today though.

MaryDoll I do hope you're feeling better, and sending kind thoughts for others feeling unwell and with worries. flowers

Well, I turned up at DD3’s thinking how unusually quiet the roads are this morning.

DD3 greeted me with ‘Hello Mum, what are you doing here? It’s a Public Holiday!’🤦‍♀️

I’m really losing the plot! Well, it seems I have another battery-charging day!😂😂

Good morning from s somerset, beautiful sunny day today

I spent the whole day outside yesterday, started with putting preservative on my two benches. I used a new spray gun and osmo oil with a pale colour, It went on fine but I had to follow with a brush after I sprayed, I gave it a very heavy coat as I did not want to waste any but now I realise that it will take days to dry properly. oh dear. In time the pale colour will be absorbed but right now they look pale and shiny

Later I was busy lifting bags of compost in and out the garage, resulting in aches today. Late afternoon I noticed the spots of, now dried, preservative all over two white upvc doors. They took me hours to clean off and now my right hand is aching, I wore a splint in bed to help. I won`t be doing those benches for two more years and by then the surface will be ready to be re-done, next time with a clear thin easy spray. lesson learned

Today, RnR after my haircut this morning

Have a good day

Good morning from a hillside in south Glos where it’s a pale dawn to hopefully another sunny day.
Yesterday was lovely with the warm sunshine, we really enjoyed our dog walks without the biting wind of recent days.
I spent several hours in the summerhouse doing drawings.
I had a long chat with DS, they’re coming down sometime over Easter for a few days, looking forward to seeing them again.
I’d like to do a longer dog walk today, starting from the village and going down into the valley and up the other side, DH said he’ll come too.
Wish you all a lovely day 🌹

Marydoll Mon 31-Mar-25 06:49:46

Good morning all, still dark here in Glasgow, where it is 8°C.
I have another bad night, so I won't be doing much today.

My house it like a florist shop, my family are so kind.
A visit yesterday from Babydoll, who appeared unexpectedly. DH had put bunches in her hair, (she hardly has any) she looked so grown up!;😪

It was so warm in the conservatory, that I had the doors open. Not a great idea, because that facilitated a perfect exscape route for a certain little person.

I will wish you all a pleasant day. DH is golfing andcI will be staying in bed!
I mistakenly thought we had the school run today. Thankfully next door are doing it or DH would have had to cancel his golf.

Marydoll Mon 31-Mar-25 06:51:26

DIL put bunches in, DH wouldn't have a clue. I am so discombobulated this morning. 🤣

Good morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

Admin this morning and eye clinic this afternoon.

Enjoy your day.

Good Morning from Durham. Not sure what the weather holds today. The dawn chorus hasn’t kicked off here yet - I’m quite pleased, as it wakes me too early.

Yesterday did not go to plan!! I opened my airing cupboard door to find the floor/carpet soaked. The tank?!? Towels employed and the plumber contacted. He said he’d call after 6, so I chanced lunch out with DD2. It was poor - the place completely packed, service abysmal and food nowhere near the usual standard. I left straight after eating, to await the plumber, who was a no-show. By this time, I’d found the leak, thankfully a pipe, not the tank and I’ve a deep roasting dish beneath it, catching the drips. I hope the plumber comes this morning - I’ll text him - he’s usually very good. I’ll wash the towels I used yesterday. As a result, today’s plan to meet a friend for coffee is on hold. I also had a disaster with a wax melt - I’ll have to chip that off the wood burner!

Hoping MD can make some progress today. It must be so frustrating to be ‘ignored’.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from Bristol.
I have overslept and only just woken up.
Haven’t read posts. Got nothing to say..

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, a fine day ahead according to my weather app. I shall cut the.grass this afternoon.

Yesterday was lovely, spent with the whole family, first time that's happened for.years! I had some lovely gifts from DS and DD, and DD had cooked a delicious Katsu chicken curry, and then a pavlova afterwards. I was.so stuffed when I got home that I didn't move from the chair all evening.

Yoga first thing this morning, then coffee afterwards at the little cafe round the corner. Perhaps a bean and veggie chilli to put in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

Hoping the.sun sunshine shines on all today.

Gingster Mon 31-Mar-25 07:25:39

Good morning all and it’s bright but chilly here in Essex. That wind yesterday morning was icy 🥶 as I walked the dog.

A lovely weekend with family and phone calls.

Today I have my Chimes group and then on to meet my 2 brothers and a SIL for lunch. The pub we had planned to go to had a power cut yesterday, so will be closed all day today. It’s a large pub, so goodness knows how they coped yesterday (Mothering Sunday) . It must have been chaos.

So we’re going to another, not far away.

Have a good day 🌷

brook2704 Mon 31-Mar-25 07:29:53

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry bright start to the day, I’m looking forward to some warmer weather this week
Oops Bellasnana enjoy the unexpected rest today!
I’ve a check up at the eye clinic this morning and then home to do some gardening. Hope your similar check up this afternoon goes well kitty
Fingers crossed that the plumber comes and can fix the leak easily Georgesgran
Marydoll 💐
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Redcar Mon 31-Mar-25 07:32:06

Good morning everyone from a sunny and cold mid Essex. Another sunny day forecast. While it’s lovely to have the sunshine, the garden is quite dry and in need of a good soaking.
I had a very pleasant day yesterday with both DDs and their families visiting at different times. They both stayed longer than on their usual visits, which was really good. We sat in the garden in the afternoon so the grandchildren could practise their gymnastics! The sun was warm but there was a stiff north easterly breeze, so a bit chilly.
I have a medication review with the practice pharmacist today, not looking forward to it as I’ll be put under pressure to change my osteoporosis medication to a cheaper one!
marydoll I hope that you feel better later today and that your doctor is in contact with you to offer some useful treatment. georgesgran I hope your plumber comes today and fixes your leaky pipe.
Have the best day possible everyone, I hope those in pain find some relief today.

monk08 Mon 31-Mar-25 07:40:12

Good morning all from a sunny Black country, towels in the wash ready for another nice drying day.
DS needs to be in the office today so we shall pick the boys up from school and take them home, their Aunt gives them music lessons on a Monday so when she arrives we shall take our leave. Will stop on way back for a meal save me cooking.
Bellasnanna enjoy your extra battery charging day.
Mardoll sorry to hear you had another bad night.
Has anyone heard from Bonnybanko? she doesn't appear to have posted for a while.
Have a good day everyone whatever your plans may you all find some ☀️.

Marydoll Mon 31-Mar-25 07:43:43

I messaged Bonny, but have heard nothing. It is worrying.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 31-Mar-25 07:44:35

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It feels like spring.

I had a lovely day yesterday. OH, me and daughter had a wonderful lunch at my favourite restaurant. Theee courses and champagne! Daughter is now back in London.

I had a lovely chat with younger son. He is a civil servant and about to start work on a rather unpopular piece of legislation.

I exchanged WhatsApp messages with elder son on Saturday.

Hopefully our cleaning lady is coming today. She couldn’t come last week. I will do the usual Monday shop.

Have a good day everyone, especially those of you with difficulties.

madeleine45 Mon 31-Mar-25 07:45:19

Good morning Mick and all GN's on a still dry morning here in North Yorkshire .

Not a good start to the day, headache and full of aches and pains. The change of time hasnt helped of course. Takes a few days to get used to that, but it was lovely to have a lighter evening. Not making any plans for the day, will have to see how I get on. Rather a shame as had hoped to do quite a lot today, so just hope head improves and might get to sit outside for a bit.

Bellasnana, Hope you can enjoy your unexpected day off! I used to know all the holidays etc when I was teaching, and now need to check the calendar, as cant even remember when Easter starts.
Ashcombe Good luck with your plans and I am sure your friends will be glad to see you there even if you have to take things easy
Marydoll hope that you will feel a bit better for some bed rest and hope the doctors can give you some help soon.

Have as good a day as you can everyone.

Kalu Mon 31-Mar-25 07:46:07

Good morning all. Mostly cloudy today in Glasgow but feeling milder now that the chilly wind has dropped.

Some admin and a dental appointment at lunchtime.
The sun has just appeared and being milder I am looking forward to an afternoon pottering in the garden and removing covers from garden furniture.
karma I use UPV cleaner which makes cleaning so much easier, sometimes with a non scratch sponge if necessary.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Sar53 Mon 31-Mar-25 07:49:12

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex coast.
Today it's bed changing, ironing and admin and hopefully get out for a walk by the sea.
Enjoy the sun everyone and have a good day xx

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Mon 31-Mar-25 07:49:31

Good morning everybody from sunny Málaga. Another fine day ahead with a high of 24°C forecast. Apparently it’s going to rain Thursday for 3 days so I’m glad we’re headed home on Wednesday teatime!

We’re staying more ‘local’ today. Arroyo. See pic I took there on Thursday. It’s only a short walk. Coffee first at our favourite cafe bar opposite the police station (where we hold our LWW gatherings now too) then into the centre. There’s a ferriteria in the Gamonal area there where we’ll be headed to have our new passport details ‘shrunk’ and laminated. We carry these tiny copies around when out and about as acceptable I.D.

After that AF beers, people watching in a partly shady spot and perhaps share a pizza for a late lunch.

cornergran Mon 31-Mar-25 07:49:41

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

Quiet day ahead after a too busy weekend, not that I complain as it was all very enjoyable. Somehow I’ve acquired a sore throat, home remedies and a rest are self prescribed. There are worse things.

Have the best day you can everyone.
