Anyone else have constant problems with this carrier ? I would prefer to spend a little more on carriage rather than retailers using this company.
As of this am. rose bush ordered on the 21/3 still "on the way " , no update. Email from M&S to let me know delivery will be later than expected.
Drives me mad.

Evri not Verizon (predictive text 😲).

Our regular Verizon delivery lady is very good. However, it’s not always the people driving the van/car with your parcel who are the problem - it’s the time between when it leaves the seller (ie when despatched) to the time it reaches the courier that can be the issue. I ordered some plants recently that the company promised 48 hour delivery. The order was dispatched quickly upon receipt of my order, but they actually took 5 days to arrive, and were in a pretty sorry state when I got them. 3 have picked up a bit but the 4th one looks decidedly unwell.

Very timely post. My DD’s parcel was not delivered two days ago because the driveway was blocked! (Large drive way, two cars about two metres either side to walk past). Today, loud thump on the door ( we have a bell), run to door and see Evri woman getting in van and then driving away.

We are lucky to have a brilliant Evri courier here. Always on time and waits for me to answer the door.
However, they have lost 2 parcels I've sent with them so don't use them anymore. I send with Royal Mail 48 tracked

Well, a real diversity of opinion here.
Seems to be if in an urban / city area they are quite competent.
My son always says " They take one look at your post code Mum and say"Forget it " !
I do live in N. Cornwall admittedly but if a courier covers your area it should provide the service no matter where you live.

No I don’t have a problem with Evri, and I use them fir buying and selling.

always kept up to date with delivery, never had any problems

Marydoll - Normally driver left at back of the wheelie bin but for some reason this delivery PUT inside the bin. The back of the bin was the supposed safe place. OK she was in a rush probably as they all are but to start using the F word at me and my husband and then using the mobile signing module to hit my husband on the shoulder is way out of order. Won't have them here now and make sure any online order is Royal Mail, UPS, etc.

Is there an Evri scam doing the rounds?

A friend came to visit today and during lunch she had an email to say that Evri was unable to deliver a parcel because it was too badly damaged. The email told her to click somewhere to find out more.

Was this a scam? My friend couldn't think of anything she'd ordered, but she has still got a husband and he could have done. She didn't click on anything, and nor would I have done.

Evri are terrible round here in the heart of the countryside down a long drive. I try my best not to order from companies who use Evri but if I have to I get them to deliver to our son's in the nearby village, not had any trouble with that.

Marydoll Wed 02-Apr-25 20:02:35

mrsgreenfingers56, if you knew that you wouldn't be in to receive the parcel, why didn't you go into the App and name a safe place for it to be left? That's what we always do.
Saves a lot of angst.

My partner ( retired ) worked for EVRI for over a year. He had to be self employed provide his own car and all the expenses of owning a car. He had a rural route so the petrol was excessive ( compared to deliveries on estates ) . He was paid a few pittance for every parcel and was out working hard delivering for hours. Although it provided a little pocket money ( and it was little ) i wouldnt have got out of bed to do it. On top on that the managers were awful, incompetant and inefficient !! Sorry EVRI but from one who knows

Evri is almost a swear word to me. So order a parcel, got the chance of very last minute holiday so went. Got home from hol to find note to say parcel left in the black wheelie bin, summer time and neighbour thinks doing me a favour puts the bin out! Parcel went to the tip! Evri wouldn't refund, the seller wouldn't either saying parcel delivered. Driver (female) came again with another parcel and I took up with her and said lost my parcel and she got aggressive and said I shouldn't have taken an f'ing holiday and I said you should have left at neighbour or behind the bin. She raised her voice and it all got nasty, my husband came out to see what was going on and told her to leave our premises and just put his hand on her arm to guide her away and she hit him over his shoulder with the signing module they have! Police informed and crime number given. Evri? Grrrrrr...................

SillyNanny321 Wed 02-Apr-25 16:39:23

Our Evri lady is very good. Hope that they do not lose her as she is one of the best!

Judy54 Wed 02-Apr-25 16:35:23

Ours does knock and leaves the parcel in the porch before I have had a chance to get to the door.

Hellsbelles Wed 02-Apr-25 16:04:01

Our local Evri delivery person is incapable of knocking the door .
They leave it against the front door without even trying to knock .

Maelil Wed 02-Apr-25 15:29:39

I have a problem with Evri in that every time I have a parcel sent with them I get bombarded with scam texts and emails. Somehow scammers are getting my info. I always report and delete but it’s not ideal.

BigBertha1 Wed 02-Apr-25 15:06:45

Our Evri courier(s) are really good at delivery and collection- no complaints here.

Barbadosbelle Wed 02-Apr-25 15:05:08

.

Ah! Evri. The evil twin sister of Hermes. And so, naturally, totally alike.
.

leeds22 Wed 02-Apr-25 15:01:29

Our Evri driver is also excellent, as is our postie. It's DPD we have problems with - knock and run seems to be their method!

Thisismyname1953 Wed 02-Apr-25 14:39:04

Our Evri courier is excellent . Me, my daughter and my granddaughter all had parcels delivered to our house today . We were told between 2.30 to 3.30 but then had a revised text to say between 2pm and 3pm. They arrived at 5 past 2 . Very good service .

rowyn Wed 02-Apr-25 14:22:56

I don't use them that often, but they always deliver as expected. - so far - just received 36 toilet rolls, which I ordered yesterday.

karmalady Wed 02-Apr-25 14:21:17

It depends on your local delivery people. I rate evri 100%, the most reliable and consistently nice

Nanato3 Wed 02-Apr-25 14:18:22

I never get the same courier twice . If anything goes wrong they don't want to know. You're told to contact the company you ordered from. Terrible service.

Aldom Wed 02-Apr-25 13:58:15

My Evri delivery man is cheerful, polite and efficient. Prior to this delivery man we had a lady, equally good.
