“Ariadne”

Honestly didn’t know where to put this, but some of you may remember Ariadne and her DH Theseus from many years ago.
Just a couple of weeks ago she reeived a bombshell diagnosis of widespread cancer with an expectancy of perhaps only 2-3 weeks .
She came home and I have just received this from her daughter

“I thought I'd let you have a brief update. Mum is deteriorating fast, but is comfortable and still st home. She is receiving hospice care at home and we are all in love with the nurses who are simply lovely. Not only are they treating mum with the utmost sensitivity and respect, but they are taking care of us too. Mum has been on her phone until recently and has been sending us strange but lovely messages, which we will cherish, later. I don't know if she made it on to your lovely group.
My brothers have been here, and I am now on compassionate leave. They will be back soon. “

So if you are of a praying disposition, please remember Ariadne and her loving family surrounding her as they face these last days. 🙏 💐

I have just received this from Ariadne’s daughter sad

“Morning Maw. My beautiful mumma died yesterday afternoon. Gently, peacefully, and with us all around her.

Much love. And thank you all so much for the love and friendship she shared with you for so many years x”
