Good morning Mick and everyone from a frosty start to the day in Cheshire - it's 1C out there. I watched the moon set behind the trees opposite, and the sun will soon be up.

Wishing everyone the best day possible, whatever the day may have in store.

Good morning from a chilly but dry Torbay with sunshine expected.

I hope to go to Wednesday Club at our theatre today for the first time in many weeks.

Thoughts with those who are unwell, especially Gingster’s DH, or facing sad times, including Grandmabatty as she finalises details of her Mum"s funeral.

To everyone else: happy hump day! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Pantglas2 Wed 09-Apr-25 06:01:10

Good morning Mick and all to follow where an exciting day awaits…I’m off to a Glass Workshop this afternoon! 🤗. It’s a course Ive been wanting to join for years but because I was away at mi Casa so much, it passed me by! Watch this space!

The other side of the happy coin is my dad isn’t well after his return from Goa and will see his doctor today…me saying I told you so wasn’t appreciated 🤷‍♀️

Happy birthday to the twins Bellasnana 🎂 hope they don’t wear you out with their celebrations! Hope those in the sickbay are on the mend ❤️‍🩹

Off now to enjoy some forest bathing with my chamberpot ☕️ - I’m in need of soothing…🫠

Good morning from a dry, dawning Bristol. The early mornings are still very cold, only warming up the mid afternoon.
The “coffee morning” with the area manager of Anchor housing was interesting, to say the least. One resident has nicknamed him Teflon Bob…. He was full of platitudes, patronising and placatory, full of promises and work passed on to the poor overworked manager. She is overwhelmed with paperwork and given the blame for everything by the management.
He appeared horrified when we reported in our letter to the CEO that some repairs hadn’t been effected for over three years, then promptly passed the buck to our lovely manager. We were careful to praise her to the hilt and say that the residents’ beef wasn’t with her. I’m not holding my breath…
I then had anMU meeting to which I had been invited because I mentioned that I had been reading a fascinating book about the Dreyfus affair. They wanted me to talk about it.
In the evening, I had a Lent prayer/meditation meeting.
I was exhausted by the evening.
Today is much the same. It never rains but it pours, doesn’t it?
May you all have a peaceful day, free of pain sorrow or troubles.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is still dark, and chilly.
Yesterday was an at home day. I cleaned the window of the bedroom that is over my conservatory that neither the window cleaner nor the extending brush attached to the hose can reach, so it has to be cleaned from the inside. It requires a step ladder and a good deal of contortionism! I sorted out a new energy contract and spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden, washing empty pots and weeding . This morning I have a covid jab booked and this afternoon writers group at the library.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from Lancashire where it’s still twilight but the blue sky is emerging.

I slept very well last night, just a couple of bathroom visits which I dealt with easily. I still think I’m in hospital when I first wake up 😊 then I realise I’m at home.

Have a good day all 🌹

Greyduster Wed 09-Apr-25 06:12:09

Hope your little boys have a lovely birthday, Bellasnanna 🍦🎂🎈!

Bellasnana Wed 09-Apr-25 06:16:33

Good morning from Malta where it’s bright and a high of 19°C is forecast.

I’m over at DD3’s and both the birthday boys are still asleep! Can’t believe it’s three years since I was woken early by DD3 telling me they had been delivered by emergency C- section at 4am. They spent a couple of months in the NICU but you wouldn’t know it now!

Thank you Pantglas for your kind wishes.🤗

They are having their small party in the park later this afternoon.

There’s some tennis I’m hoping to watch in the meantime but am not holding my breath!

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Bellasnana Wed 09-Apr-25 06:17:23

Thank you Greyduster🤗

grandMattie Wed 09-Apr-25 06:20:00

Best wishes to your twins, Bella. 🎂🥳
I remember you posting about their birthday. Happy outcome!

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 09-Apr-25 06:31:19

Morning all from a lightly frosty West Oxfordshire.

Happy birthday 🥳 to the little boys!

OH has a check up today with the surgeon who carried out his urology operation last month.

My replacement as WI secretary is popping round for a tutorial and will take away all the files etc.

My Australian niece has still not given birth to the daughter she was expecting on 28 March. When I saw her three weeks ago she looked fit to burst! Apparently she will have the baby this week.

Have a good day everyone.

Georgesgran Wed 09-Apr-25 07:03:38

Good Morning from Durham. A cool, cloudy day is forecast. For some reason I thought it was Thursday yesterday, no idea why!

Roof work starts today, so I must move my car. It was making an odd noise yesterday - could be serious, but my garage can’t look at it until after Easter - advised ‘not to go far!’ Difficult. At least SinL was able to collect Little Dog to save a 50 mile round trip.
I’ve a friend coming for coffee this morning, then DD2’s laundry to keep me busy.
🎂 Bella’s twins.

Best wishes to all. X

Redcar Wed 09-Apr-25 07:04:44

Good morning everyone from a sunny and frosty mid Essex. It’s 2 degrees outside and the car has a light covering of ice!
Went for a walk yesterday and met a friend who was resting on a bench half way round the park, her dog was resting too! I had a chat with her (friend not dog), so I was out a bit longer than planned. Dusted, vacuumed then visited my dementia friend, who wasn’t mumbling much, but waving her hands around.

blossoming I’m pleased that you’re home again and enjoying sleeping in your own bed again.
bellasnana wishing your twin grandsons a very Happy Birthday today.

Best wishes to all who are poorly, I hope you feel some relief from pain today. Also thinking of those who are grieving, or with anxieties.

I’m keeping DD1’s dog company today while DD1 and her DH are in the office. Their daughters are at some activity sessions at a local school, so just the dog and me!

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 09-Apr-25 07:05:01

Morning everyone another bright day is forecast.

I anm off to the gym this morning, then I need to sort out what I am taking to Centre Parcs with three AC and families over Easter. The I am off to Spain immediately after (DH is looking forward to a week home alone I need to tell him gently that he is on Grandpa duty as the GC are not back at school, Oops)

I hope the boys have a lovely birthday 🎂🎈🎉 Bellasnana

Thinking of all our morning friends with illness or troubles 🌸🌸🌸

kittylester Wed 09-Apr-25 07:06:30

Good morning all from a misty, very chilly North Leicestershire.

Happy birthday to the boys, Bella.

Our cleaner is due at 9 and DH is off to the gym. Later I have a scan booked at the local hospital and DH has a blood test booked at the surgery. Getting older has it's drawbacks!

We have already been answering WhatsApp messages from DGDs 2 and 3 who are very excited to be at Disneyland Paris and rehearsing to take part in the parade with other members of their dancing school.

Have the best day possible everyone.

karmalady Wed 09-Apr-25 07:09:51

Good morning from sunny s somerset

I was calmly busy day yesterday, I cycled to my plot and I worked gently for over 2 hours. I am at the stage of seeing what weeds are prevalent and thinking how to deal with beds to add goodness to the soil

The house needs its spring clean, I started that yesterday and will only be doing a defined space during any session. Yesterday it was easy, just the hall, stairs and cloakroom. Next session, I will be starting on the living room and I will start by taking all my plants to the kitchen, to clean and tidy them also dusting the areas on which they reside. Little hops for my spring cleaning

Today I intend to take a bus trip, probably to Wells, it is market day and the market is just by the cathedral gardens

Have a good day

luluaugust Wed 09-Apr-25 07:14:19

Good morning from an overcast W Kent. Unexpectedly busy day as DD2 is coming for some lunch, before that DF is popping by for tea. I don’t usually see her in school holidays as she has so many GC. to keep up with.
Fascinating talk at U3A about the Windsors, what a lavish life style they had
Birthday wishes to the twins Bellasnana

Grandmabatty Wed 09-Apr-25 07:17:58

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 3° and cloudy. Bellasnana happy birthday to your boys. I hope they have a lovely day.
Yesterday I had a lovely day with my boys. Soft play then the park then back to the house for garden play and drawing. Dgs1 and I played football. Apparently I was Ronaldo or Messi. Then dgs2 played The floor is lava in my living room with all the cushions. My brother called in and has agreed to do some admin. Hallelujah!
Today is my last day of driving for a while. Tomorrow is my cataract surgery. I have so much to do today that I'm a bit overwhelmed. However I'll break it down and get as much done as I can. The celebrant is coming to my house tonight to talk about mum, so dd and my aunt and uncle are coming. My brother isn't sure he'll make it 🙄. So a big deep breath from me. That will be the last of the arrangements done. Then I have to contact her bank and private pension provider and that's it sorted. I need to sort out my house to make things accessible as I won't be able to bend over for a while. Life is challenging! Have a good day all

Sar53 Wed 09-Apr-25 07:23:12

Good morning from the Essex coast.
More sun is forecast but the wind is chilly.
DGD2 was discharged from hospital yesterday afternoon after three days being treated for her Asthma.
She is returning to school today and breaks up for Easter on Friday. She then starts her GCSE's when she goes back. She has a lot of catching up to do.
At the end of this month she is starting on Biologics which we all hope will help.
DH will drop me off in town this morning as I have some bits to get, I'll get the bus home.
Happy Birthday to the twins Bella, I hope they have a lovely day.
Wishing you all a good day xxx

NannyJan53 Wed 09-Apr-25 07:29:20

Good morning from another sunny Black Country. I could get used to this!

Popped to Merry Hill on the bus yesterday. Bought a cut to size table cloth for Dining Table at The Range. Jeans, top and hat. Boarded bus home, and it wouldn't start! Driver said...'all off folks, bus has conked out' smile. Next bus arrived in 10 minutes though.

This morning I am meeting a friend for coffee in a Garden Centre cafe. Not met up since last November, so lots of news to catch up on.

Then this evening out for a meal with ladies from my Walk and Talk group, which we do bi-monthly.

One of MrJ's DD's is coming over this evening, as she is working in the Birmingham office today, so staying over tonight, and booked a day off work.

Happy birthday to your twin grandsons Bellas hope they have a lovely day.

Wishing you all a sunny day!

Susan56 Wed 09-Apr-25 07:31:22

Good morning from Shropshire where another sunny day is forecast.

I saw a lovely GP yesterday morning and by lunchtime had a phone call with an appointment for a scan next week. She also advised that I should defer my shoulder operation.

A quiet day planned today until 3pm when it is school pick up then H to Squirrels and T to dance.

Happy birthday to the boys Bellasnana🥳🎂

I hope you get everything on your to do list done Grandmabatty and hope all goes to plan tomorrow.

Have the best day possible everyone🌻🦩

RosesandLilac Wed 09-Apr-25 07:33:51

Good morning, it’s a gloriously sunny hillside in south Glos this morning, what a beautiful start to the day. Yesterday was decidedly chilly until early afternoon, then we took the dogs on a walk that DH hadn’t done, at the end of the village.
It takes you down a very steep hillside to a little stream along the valley bottom and back up to the top - quite strenuous but I’m delighted that I managed it reasonably well! I’m definitely fitter than I was 😊 The views were amazing, right across to Westbury white horse in the far distance.
Today we’ll have breakfast at the village cafe, the dogs can come too and we’ll walk them before and afterwards.
Have a lovely day if you can 🌹

cornergran Wed 09-Apr-25 07:34:12

Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, sunny corner of Somerset.

Coffee with neighbours this morning, a package to collect from M&S Food this afternoon and a leg stretch somewhere. A little ironing in between.

A very happy birthday 🎈🎈🎈🎈 to the twins bella, hasn’t time flown?

Definitely challenges grandmab, I’m pleased you’ll have support this evening and all the best for your cataract surgery tomorrow.

Hope the car behaves georgesgran and frustrating though it was the meeting brings some positive results grandmattie.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Gingster Wed 09-Apr-25 07:35:37

Good morning all and I’m awaiting ds2 who will be working (from home) here and keeping an eye in his dad whilst I go shopping. He comes early to avoid the worst of the traffic (1hr 15mins journey)
A1 and M25. Both notoriously bad. 🤬.

Yesterday we achieved a lot. I managed to shower Dh , got him into the garden for some sun and shave his beard. DIL cut his hair.
We did some excercises and speech therapy. He can say How now brown cow perfectly and then goes back to slurred and muffled speech. Must try harder! 🥲.

Speech therapist this afternoon.

Happy birthday Bella’s twins 👬.🎉🥳🎂🎁🎈🎊.
Happy holidays GG and Thankyou for your support
Take it steady * Blossoming*
I hope your meeting proves fruitful GM . Terrible service from the team

Thanks for all your lovely Pm’s. Good tips from Maw .🙏

Take care 🌱
