I'm still at my family's house, pet sitting. I'm passing the time having a coffee before walking into Oxford city centre. I shall then have a large latte and a bacon roll in John Lewis.
Next port of call is Bravissimo for a bra fitting. Hopefully, buy a new bra.
I'll look in White stuff and Seasalt, maybe buy a new summer top.
I return home tomorrow, all of sixteen miles away.

My favourite kind of boring day today - three hour train journey home from ‘duty visit’ to Sussex. Knitting and reading, no interruptions. The journey home always feels better than the outward one.

I filled the bird feeder and love watching the bluetits.
Had a peruse of MN which always manages to shock me a little in some way, but keeps me ‘down with the kids’😁 (if that is the right expression…)
Am using my post covid jab reaction to put off going to a folk club tonight or attempt any proper housework.

Caleo, Kumara is the Maori name for sweet potato.
It makes really nice and quick soup when cooked with lots of garlic, vege stock n curry powder. I made it mainly cos my daughter who lives with me has a dreadful cold. She's much better today!

Hairdresser here shortly, so quickly knocked up a very basic chicken curry with the help of a sauce in a jar, and it’s in the slow cooker, so dinner sorted, as she’ll be here a few hours.
Must let my grey grow in, maybe after the holidays.

Life is never boring it’s what you do with it.
Bit of knitting, crossword, online puzzles, cooking, gardening, always something I rarely get bored.

hellogirl this sounds exciting! How did it get there? Why was it behind a door? What else might be lurking behind other doors? My heart is beating faster now, breath coming in short pants.

I`ve just found a bag behind the door, a collection of unwanted clothing for charity. So that`s a job for later.

Put few dishes in dish washer, made bed, got washed and dressed, phoned dog kennels, ironed for 45 minutes, made tea and toast , now sitting messing on phone

So boring? But 3 weeks into retirement I'm absolutely loving it

My son and I were in Safeway's car park. I spied a bright green and blue lost parrot, and I picked him up and put him on my shoulder. I knew his kisses were affectionate but was slightly nervous of his beak.
Inside the vast shop I separated from my son to interminably seek the member of Safeway's staff who deals with lost animals.

Firstly, I let them accumulate in the shed for far too long until the refuse bag starts to topple over.
Then I have to smuggle them into the boot of my car without too much clunking or the neighbour’s net curtains across the road will start twitching.
Then I cheer if I have chosen a day just after the collection bin has been emptied. It’s so therapeutic to hear the sound of glass smashing on metal. 😂

I lead a boring-ish life and usually manage to enjoy it nevertheless, but today is grey, damp and freezing cold and it just feels boring. But hey ho, I too have the bins to sort - indoor bins out to outdoor bins and one of them to the gate for emptying tomorrow morning. The last of the Mother's Day flowers must go, and I should take a load of glass waste down to one of the bins in town. After that I think losing myself in a good book should be the order of the day. Yawn.

It’s garden refuse bin collection day tomorrow so I have a dead conifer at the back of my shed to deal with. It’s a waste of a rather nice pot so I must chop it up and get rid.
Then I must phone the scrap man and ask him to collect the broken metal garden trolley I put out for him last week and he drove straight past! 😡

I’m feeling in a ‘get things done’ mood today.
