Now for the coffee stain on the front of my cream (I know) jumper …….
Damp then rub gently with bar soap. Preferably white.

I do DGS2’s (he’s nearly 4) laundry and I’ve now learned to check his pockets for stones, sea and snail shells and dinosaurs!

Bit like me the other week Maw I put a small wash load into our brand new machine. Luckily just a quick cycle as it was sounding ‘very clunky’ metal banging against the drum. Himself heard it and passed comment. I assumed it was zips on two articles. However when I opened the door and lifted out the laundry, there were my set of house keys sitting on the drum …. 😮
Note to self CHECK POCKETS next time!

😄well done you
As for stains, don’t get me started.Would love some white chinos but dare not!Even a white tee is a no no for me.

I thought I had ruined a nearly new brushed cotton shirt when I ironed it (first time washed) without checking the sole plate of the iron. Black tarry marks across the corner and along the edge of the collar(ironed first)
I tried washing it again without success but this morning having hung it out overnight and while it was still damp I decided to attack the tarry residue with first of all my thumbnail, then a table knife, then (when it seemed to be working) with a potato peeler and finally a nutmeg grater. !!!
Good thing it’s sturdy material but it has worked. The shirt will be wearable and I have that feeling of achievement- job done!
As I said, sometimes it’s the little things.
