Morning Mick, morning All from a brightening corner of Somerset. Happy Easter wishes to everyone. 🐥
Off out for a stretch this morning. Roast beef here later rather than lamb, I eat little meat and just don’t like lamb - although I do enjoy home made mint sauce.
A very happy birthday BlueSapphire, your photos have triggered happy memories for us. I’m sure there will be much excitement when you, glammargran and bellasnana meet later.
Safe travels maw and all on the move. I’m also wondering about maryd. Wishing everyone a good day whatever you may be doing with warm thoughts to all managing life’s challenges.

Happy birthday Blue Sapphire enjoy your day
Have a great time RosesandherMaw
Family lunch today which I am cooking, fingers crossed it all goes well.
Best wishes to all
Good morning everyone from mid Essex where it’s cloudy but quite bright. Happy Easter to you all.
Happy Birthday blue sapphire I hope you have a lovely day in Malta, meeting up with bellasnana and glammagran.
rosiesmaw have a lovely break in Amsterdam, you must be so proud of your DD.
My back was achy yesterday so I didn’t do a lot, visited my friend with dementia in the afternoon, her husband is always pleased to have a chat, but his wife slept all the time I was there!
DD2 may call in this afternoon on their way to her sister in laws for an early dinner.
DD1 and her DH are tired and aching after two days laying a patio in their garden. I’ll see them tomorrow.
Have the best day possible everyone. I’m also concerned that md hasn’t posted for a few days and hope all is well with her and her family.
Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is 5 degrees rising to 15 later. Apart from a morning walk nothing much is happening here today which will be lovely as yesterday was a busy one. The little ones were very hyper and the Easter egg hunt ended up absolute chaos and mayhem but it was a lovely family day and it was great to all be together.
Happy Birthday to BlueSapphire and hope you enjoy your meet up in Malta with Glammagran and Bellasnana
Maw safe travel to Amsterdam and enjoy.
Some great pics on here today.
Marydoll Hope you and family are ok 💐
Happy Easter to everyone 🐣🐣
Morning from a sunny S Hants.
Happy Birthday BlueSapphire 🎂🥂what a lovely way to spend your day, enjoy the meet up.
Brilliant ginny looks like great fun.
Congratulations tanith to your son, a pretty place, one of our favourite areas
My daughter still has D&V in the house, so we won’t be seeing them today and my son is playing golf, we saw him yesterday.
I’ll pot on in the greenhouse, a local walk avoiding traffic and roast duck for dinner.
You sound tremendous Ashcombe 🙂
🦩🦩
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a dreary chilly South Yorkshire. A Happy Easter Sunday to one and all. I went early to the gym yesterday morning and then spent the rest of the day pottering, prepping food for today and doing small jobs around the house. I had a phone call to say that one of DH’s sisters had died. She suffered from dementia for some years so it was a blessing, but I shall remember her with great affection. DH would have been devastated. Had a face time call with DS and DiL in the afternoon. I hate Face Time calls but put up with it.
Family are coming for roast lamb and a fresh strawberry sponge flan today.
Happy Birthday *Blue Sapphire*🥂🎂💐
Have the best day you can, folks.
I forgot to mention that the Easter service shown on BBC 1 is from St. Mary Redcliffe, where DD was associate vicar until she moved to her present churches. #proudmum
Good morning and Easter greetings from cool South Lanarkshire.
Happy birthday BlueSapphire, smashing photos.
Good to hear how well you’re doing Ashcombe.
Thanks for looking out for my ring Grammaretto. DS and his almost eight year old DD were camping on Gullane beach last night, they didn’t find it either.
Our Vigil Mass last night night was the most hauntingly beautiful service I’ve ever attended. We’re very fortunate to have the priest we have at the moment.
We’re looking forward to going DD’s for a late lunch today.
I hope today brings peace to you all.
Good morning, a bright start to Easter Sunday here on the hillside in south Glos, I’m snuggled down with my coffee and the house is quiet.
DS and family arrived yesterday, so lovely having them. Caught up on all their news, enjoyed a lovely evening meal and lots of laughter.
Today we will do a long walk, I’ll put the lamb in the oven before we go, then back for a traditional Easter roast dinner 😋
DS will put the blinds up in my summerhouse for me later, he’s very good at diy, can turn his hand to almost anything.
Looking forward to a lovely day!
Happy Easter everyone 🐣
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and cloudy. Happy Easter Sunday to you all. BlueSapphire a very happy birthday to you. Enjoy your catch up with Bellasnana and Glammagran.
Ash I'm really glad that you feel so much better. Rosesandhermaw have a lovely time in Amsterdam and at the opera.
Yesterday I got all the housework and washing done, reset the dining table and generally pottered about. Then phoned a friend in the evening for a chat.
Today I'm having the family for lunch. Hopefully my son will feel he can come. It's an all sorts buffet to deal with small boys tastes, a pescatorian, a vegetarian and the rest of us who will eat anything! However you spend today, I hope you have a pleasant Sunday.
A quick morning all on this Easter Sunday.
We are having our main meal at lunch time so the enormous leg of lamb needs to go on sooner rather than later. Daughter is going back to London late afternoon. I think she will be taking a doggy bag with her!
She arrived yesterday laden with chocolate for us! The beef bourguignon went down well for dinner, and she loved the individual cherry steamed puddings I’d made. She only cooks savoury food for herself so it is a treat when she comes here.
Have a wonderful Easter Day. I do hope all is well with Mary D.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
Dull so far but it should brighten up.
DS and some of his family will be here for lunch. I will light a fire.
Yesterday's foraging at the beach was bracing and sociable. We ate hot nettle flatbread with wild garlic butter, and drank hot flowering currant tea. Some seaweed was collected too but it didn't look very appetising. Sorry baubles, despite everyone being told to keep a lookout, your wedding ring didn't turn up 😒
Happy birthday BlueSapphire ! Have a wonderful day meeting up with the GN friends.
Rosieandhermaw I hope the Opera and Amsterdam exceed your dreams.
Happy Easter everyone. 🐰
Good morning from s somerset, bright and dry today
No set plans for today but I will be cycling to the allotment for a few hours of pottering and some chat. I am driving tomorrow, I will check my tyres etc today
I am loving the blossom, now fully open, on my 4 apple trees and the bumble bees are fully active. Whatever happens in the world, nature keeps turning. It is very grounding to weed on my hands and knees, which is what I will be doing later
MD is very much in my thoughts
Have a good day
Good morning from a dry but grey midlands. Happy Easter!
Not much planned for today. Might try and get in the garden to potter about. Headaches not too bad but back at hospital on Wednesday.
Have the best day that you all can have. Hugs. 🤗
Good morning and Happy Easter from Shropshire where a sunny day is forecast.
Happy birthday Blue Sapphire, enjoy your meet up later.
Great photos Ginny and safe travels Maw.
We are going to DD1’s for Easter lunch. There will be 14 altogether.I am glad she has taken over hosting duties!DD2, SIL and DGS1 will come back here later and stay until tomorrow evening.
Thinking of Marydoll and hope we hear from her soon.
Have the best day you can everyone🌻🦩
Good morning from Torbay where sunshine is promised. He is risen indeed: Alleluia!
Safe travels to Amsterdam and what a wonderful experience awaits, RosieandherMaw! You will feel so proud to see your D perform.
Have a wonderful time in Malta, BlueSapphire and Glammagran - lovely to be meeting up with Bellasnana!
I'm pleased to tell you that yesterday we went into Torquay by bus and managed to shop, have coffee, etc & return by bus without difficulty. I can’t remember when I last achieved that!! Life is looking better by the day at present and you can probably tell that I'm "in a better place" now than last summer. I can only assume that the dangerously low level of sodium that put me in hospital last month had begun being an issue several months ago. Arthritis continues to be a problem but that's manageable with Ibuleve gel, a knee support and a walking stick.
This morning we have one service at church for everyone at 10.00 am so I will go to that and try not to cough when the incense is being used!
Easter blessings to all, especially those who are unwell. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩
Good morning. Up early for our journey home.
Yesterday’s tri- motorcycle ride was great fun. Part scenic and also parts of the of the TT race course. Yes, we did go pretty fast in some parts.
Happy Easter to all.
Good morning and a Happy Easter from Malta where we are indeed promised a sunny day with a high of 25°C.
Wishing Blue Sapphire a very happy 80th birthday and am very much looking forward to meeting you and Glammagran later today.
I had a lovely day watching tennis yesterday followed by a surprise visit from the boys. The place looked like a bomb had dropped after they left but I wouldn’t have it any other way. They light up my life.
I too hope Marydoll is alright. It is very concerning not to hear from her.
I’m off to Mass this morning after which I will go to Valletta for the aforementioned meet up, and then return to watch the tennis final from Barcelona later.
Wishing a happy Easter and a good day to all.☀️✝️
GrandMattie I can understand feeling outnumbered and lonelier than ever,. I so well remember that feeling of being the only person to arrive at and leave family do’s alone and having a total meltdown about it once. (I’ve controlled my feelings better, since)
You can get used to anything, but this rubs it in.
Nobody who has not been in your situation ever fully “gets” it - and it doesn’t get better, you just get better at coping.
Wishing you the blessings of Easter-
He is risen indeed.Hallelujah!
Maw, have a wonderfully proud time in Amsterdam!
Good morning all, im in Lyme Regis listeng to the seagulls chattering. We're here as one of my Grandsoms was married here yesterday a happy occasion for my family. It was a laid back affair family but very few friends. I'll be driving home later after breakfast with everyone. Hopefully a quicker drive home than the one down. I like my own bed. Enjoy your Sunday.
Good morning everyone from what promises to be a lovely day in Malta - we are an hour ahead of you. Woke early and just sipping an early mug of tea, with the cabin curtains drawn back so I can watch our sail-in to the Grand Harbour.
We have had two lovely sea days of not doing a lot, sitting on deck and lots of reading. Have just finished my first cruise book.
The food has been amazing, and lots of it, but I have learned to ask for a small portion now (which is still quite large!).
On returning to the cabin last night there was a box of Easter truffles on the bed - a gift from the ship!
Looking forward to meeting Glammagran later when she returns from her morning excursion, and heading ashore to at last meeting Bellasnana.
And today is my 80th birthday - how did I ever.get to this age, and where have the years gone? I feel grateful for the wonderful life I have had, loving and being loved by my gorgeous family, and mostly by my darling DH, nearly 50 years together, and missed more than I can ever say.
Wishing all a very happy Easter.
Happy Easter. He is risen!
Good morning from a dry Bristol. We are promised some sunshine today. Yesterday wasn’t too bad, except it was cold and blighted by that wretched northerly wind.
Serving coffee, I have to speak to people. Inevitably, I’m asked where I come from as I have a slight, unplaceable accent. This chap’s mother was also from Mauritius, so he decided to bore me to tears for about 40 minutes about his family, how wonderful it was, etc. It was fortunate that my serving partner was occupied doing other things for most of the morning, so I had to interrupt him and serve others. We seemed to every popular as about 20 people came for coffee, as well as the flower arrangers. It was busy. This chap seemed oblivious of it!
The afternoon was spent sewing.
I also watched the last episode of “Playing Nice”. What a good programme. James Norton was magnificent; what a versatile actor.
Today, I’m debating as to which service to go to. The usual one is taking place outside! We were told to bring hot water bottles…. Not very easy if you’re on foot. Decisions, decisions.
I’m not going to DD’s as usual as, if I go to her service, it would hurt her if I don’t stay on. SiL’s entire family will be there. They are very nice, but there are 13 of them and only one of me; I do find it hard, especially without DH, I miss him so very much in such situations.
I hope MD is ok, as her absence is worrying.
Have a glorious day. He is risen indeed, hallelujah.
