Good morning from a sunny midlands. Just got up after a night of not much sleep. Headaches will not go away. I feel stressed and anxious. Going to get the watercolours out and try and paint away my blues.
Hugs to all who are suffering.

glammagran Sun 27-Apr-25 10:05:38

Good morning from the ship. A beautiful day to be at sea with a cloudless sky, millpond sea and already very warm, It was a great shock to see Blue’s rather spectacular fall. I’m so glad she wasn’t more badly injured.

We are in Malaga on Thursday but it’s a shame we will miss both GG13 and FGT.

Thinking of Susan56 today. Belated birthday greetings .LLFL 🎉

Enjoy your Sundays everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. I am really enjoying this warm dry weather, though I suppose crops and gardens may begin to suffer before long.

The swallows that nest under the bridge are back, they don’t seem to mind the bridge opening and closing to let boats in and out. The terns that nest on the dock are back too, they are so graceful and dainty compared to the gulls that bully them relentlessly when they have food.

It’s good to see you sounding so bright and positive FGT2 and am glad you’ll soon be back in your happy place x

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone, hope those with troubles find some comfort 🌹

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 27-Apr-25 08:35:19

p.s. I miss overlapping with GG13 who is already out there by 6 days!
One day …. 😁

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 27-Apr-25 08:33:24

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s sunny and set to continue now in the same vein for several days. Yippee! I love the sun.

L’il Missis being dropped off in an hour to play here with me. The shops don’t open till 11am down in the square so that saves my purse from taking too much of a battering.

Himself is going to watch the Boy Wonder ⚽️ match it’s a crunch game, two from winning the league apparently. 😁

This afternoon we will pick up my stepfather for Sunday dinner. I’ve reserved a table at a local pub nearby. He always chooses the gammon with two fried eggs and chips! Every time. 😊 it’s good to see him enjoying his meal.

Flights are booked to our happy place! Lucky us, a week tomorrow ✈️ orf we jolly well go…

GrannyGravy13 Sun 27-Apr-25 08:29:01

Good morning everyone 🙋‍♀️

Haven’t read everyone’s news, as I am with a friend and we haven’t stopped talking since Tuesday lunchtime apart from when we are asleep 😹😹😹

We are waiting for the clouds to clear, then I think it will be another warm day.

Kalu Sun 27-Apr-25 08:26:52

Susan an understanding unsettling day for you. 🤞

monk08 Sun 27-Apr-25 08:19:50

Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Bedding in the wash as it will be a nice drying day.
Not a lot happening here today will probably start another book DH bought me 5 new ones as my stocks were low.
Lovely photos on here once again.
Hope all the poorlies have a better day.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans ☀️

Kalu Sun 27-Apr-25 08:19:04

Good morning all. Not a pleasant day at all in Glasgow, raining and windy. Thank goodness it all changes as the week goes on.

My motivation completely disappeared yesterday too Grandmabatty. A poor sleep the previous night left me lifeless and unmotivated. I just went with the day, which wasn’t pleasant outside even, I read my book and watched a film on YouTube, Le Silence de la Mer, a gentle unrequited love story during WW2.
Lovely photographs Glammagran and Bluesapphire, sorry to hear about your fall, thankfully no bones broken.
Sympathy to those with debilitating pain or feeling under the weather, hopefully recovery is speedy.

No idea what today holds but my mojo is back.

Best wishes to all for a peaceful, pleasant day.

Marydoll Sun 27-Apr-25 08:14:14

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, no heatwave here!

I am very weary today, not helped by a disturbed night, painwise.
Yesterday ended up being busier than expected. Our new P.P is covering for the Bishop at an outdoor Diocesan Mass today. He hadn't realised our parish was responsible for setting up the event for an approx congregation of eight hundred people. It was his assumption that the Cathedral was responsible.
Fortunately the young sacristan and I are veterans at doing this and managed to pull everything together, but it was a long day on top of my other duties.

Susan, I can understand why you are anxious 💐 and Bluesaphire, I hope you have suffered no ill effects after your fall and that your pain easies Georgesgran.

Have a good day folks and hoping for a better day for all in the sick bay.

hollysteers Sun 27-Apr-25 08:10:33

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
I’m off this morning to Berkshire to stay with DD and see Dsister in London. There is a football match so I am going a bit earlier as the trains might be affected. I think the change will be good for me as I’m in a bit of a rut.

Heard that the terrible twosome who ran a local drama society have resigned so I might return and it will be nice to see old friends again.
Thoughts to Susan, toe stricken Roses and all, lovely pics too🌺

baubles Sun 27-Apr-25 08:05:48

Good morning from dry and cool South Lanarkshire.

We have DD’s two youngest children here. They enjoyed their sleepover which included taking photographs of the youngest child’s class soft toy which then had to be printed and stuck into the diary with a little story about what it had been up to over the weekend. DD was delighted she could hand that task over to me.

We are taking them both over to their cousins in the east to attend a birthday party.

I’ll be ready for an early night when we get home.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

luluaugust Sun 27-Apr-25 08:04:39

Grammaretto Sun 27-Apr-25 08:04:20

Sending get well messages to Georgesgran and Roses and hope you can walk properly soon.
Also thinking of Gingster and her DH.
Such a lot of poorlies today. I hope Marydoll is having a better day.

Liberty Sun 27-Apr-25 08:00:34

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk with bright blue skies. No plans yet for the day which will probably involve a 5 mile trip to the seaside for the dog walk on the beach.

Afterwards a lazy time with the papers and kindle…..what could be nicer?

DGD4 arrived home late last night from the school trip to Nice so we’ll have a catch up on the phone with her and probably hear all about her shopping rather than the French lessons they had in the school in the mornings!

Hope all enjoy the warmth and sun today.

Gingster Sun 27-Apr-25 07:56:10

Good morning all from a very Misty Essex.
I’m having a cuppa before Dh rouses and the day will begin.

Physio coming at 10 . He’s doing well apart from the wretched catheter business. The nighttime one leaked and was useless!
Hopeful our Thursday appointment at the hospital will prove successful and it will be removed. 🙏.

DS1 coming today to shore up the acer which is looking precarious.
I’ve told the children to stay home for the weekend as they have their own lives to enjoy. I know they’re there if I need them. ❤️.

Hope you feel better as the day wears on GM.
Poor you Madelaine what a fiasco!
Lovely pics Blue.
Hope your toe recovers quickly RosesandLilac. Ouch!

Enjoy the day ☀️

Grammaretto Sun 27-Apr-25 07:55:39

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it looks like another good Spring day.
All that's booked today is a big tidy up of my studio with the other potters. There'll be laughter, tea and cake. I'll miss them when I move house.
I heard another friend is moving away which is quite a shock.

Sorry to read about your fall BlueSapphire, the bad reaction to the vaccine gMattie and the kerfuffle at the dentist Madeleine

Your birthday sounds perfect Llfl and what a productive day you had.

Hopefully everyone will have a peaceful day.

Grandmabatty Sun 27-Apr-25 07:53:57

Susan I'll be thinking of you. Take care x

GrannyIvy Sun 27-Apr-25 07:50:26

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where the weather is looking very good.

Yesterday I went to a shopping outlet with my sister. We had a good day, nice lunch out and bagged some bargains! So lovely to spend time together.

Today DH and I are cycling at Rutland water with our cycling friends. My first big ride this year hoping all will go well and the pace not too fast! We will then have a roast dinner (sitting on padded cushions hopefully)

Have a good Sunday and hope the day is kind to all 🌻
