Good morning from a cloudy Suffolk where in the 4 days I’ve been away the garden has blossomed with a few roses in bloom and the peony buds swelling.
DH and I are off to see ‘Conclave’ at the local theatre which shows films occasionally. I bought him the book for Christmas and we booked tickets for the cinema before the death of Pope Francis. They are now showing a second screening.
Off to make tea and then read your posts. Hope today is a good day for all.

Good Morning Tuesday 6th May 2025
(51 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its light , but looking grey at the moment, and no doubt chilly outside here in brackley.
The usual routine today with a bus trip to Bicester , with a shop and say hello to some people I know.
My health is OK,
Take Care,
Mick
DD’s cat was poisoned also Jax. When she moved in there were lots of cats around. They’ve all disappeared. Very sad for the family especially DGD who loved her 🐈⬛.
Good morning from a grey W Kent. The cleaner is coming this morning having kindly agreed to change her day this week. DD1 and SIL had a good journey back to Scotland and DB left last night. We were hoping for a peaceful evening but unfortunately DH was notified one of our cards had been hacked so all evening was spent trying to sort that out.
Best wishes to all those with hospital appointments
Enjoy Conclave Liberty. I missed the film here but I’m reading the book for the second time. Fascinating and of course very topical.
Decorator and cleaner both due this morning so will have to manage them so they don’t overlap. Can see that kitchen cleaning will have to wait until the painting is finished. First world problems.
Am enjoying the various travellers’ tales, hope that Marydoll and Karma feel better and that today’s plans work out for everyone.
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. 4°C a short while ago. It will be as yesterday I expect, rising to a dizzy height of 12°C. I'm trying to harden off plants so these fluctuating temperatures are annoying.
I'm awaiting a Tesco delivery mid-morning. Also a tad annoying as I need to go into town to collect a prescription for pills that have run out. I'd hoped for a slot at either end of the morning.
Meanwhile...on with the vacuuming and laundry plus I need to chase things by phone and find work people, a thing I hate doing. Hopefully, I can get on with gardening after lunch.
I alternate hard work in the garden with lighter days Karma, only way to go for me. The mind may be spry but the body is increasingly not! I hope your back recovers completely today.
The best possible day to you all.
Good morning from an overcast and chilly N. Bucks.
DGs2 did well in his cycle event, managing several more laps than last year and raising more money. His little brother was desperate to join in but unfortunately near the end of the first lap he tumbled from his bike and caught his hand in the spokes of another bike. Luckily nothing broken but I think he will be quite bruised this morning.
DH is playing table tennis first thing and then we are off to look at cool boxes and walking sandals.
Hope all the medical appointments go well and all the poorlies find some relief.
A good day wished for all.
Good Morning from a bright, sunny Durham, however it’s very cold.
I’m meeting my Monday friend today for coffee, then I’m seeing my solicitor this afternoon re. my LPoAs.
The plantar fasciitis isn’t really any better and it’s less than 2 weeks ‘til I go on holiday. I can really sympathise with those GNs with various aches and pains.
It’s interesting to read of MrG situation - 30 years ago, when DD2 was finally discharged from hospital, 9 weeks later, we were just abandoned!
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from sunny South Lanarkshire.
Yesterday was unexpectedly, gloriously sunny and very warm. DH and a pal regrouted our garden patio then I spent the afternoon reading and admiring their handiwork. We invited friend and his wife over for a drink in the which was very pleasant.
More good weather expected today but I’ll be indoors for most of it as I have a nail appointment then I’m doing my shift in the charity shop. Yarn group this evening so a busy day.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Gingster wonderful update as to how your DH is progressing,in part no doubt down to your patient help with and care for him.
@FGT
What?
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where the sun streaming through the blinds woke me up half an hour ago, lovely gentle stirring
(Shakes head in disbelief )
Hope you have worked out which way up you are now!
or were LWW round for an early breakfast?
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a sunny start to the day
I’ve only just woken up so apologies I’ve not caught upon all the news yet. But we’re home now from Mexico City after a lovely moving service for my late sister in law. All went as well as it could have and it was good to see my brother again.
I’m still in bed with jet lag 🥴 so I’m going to stay here a while, have a cup of tea, read all the posts and then see what needs doing here later
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings

I wondered about that too! Jet lag?
What did I say that was wrong? 😂
I meant being gently stirred from sleep. Is that not correct?
Don’t worry FGT your predicted text probably came up for your usual good morning post. 😉
Good morning from south Lanarkshire, lovely day promised so looking forward to lunch at the Golf Club with three former colleagues. It’s in a beautiful setting with a view of our small loch and has really nice food. We don’t usually meet there because it isn’t open on Mondays, our usual catch up day, but since I am not childminding this week we are treating ourselves.
Good news about your DH’s progress Gingster, your support and his determination are making a great team.
Very hard that your DD didn’t get the same help from the NHS all those years ago Georgesgran
Glad you and your neighbour’s initiative and hard work paid off.*grandMattie*, I’m sure the other residents really appreciate your efforts.
Happy picture Pantglas thanks!
Good to see you back brook, good that everything went well and you are safe home.
Have a good day everyone especially those with health issues, hope things are improving for you Madeleine

Hi, your predictive text gave your position as south Manchester not Malaga
Enjoy your LWW lunch 🥂🌞😘
Really good news on your husband Gingster.
Glad all went well brook
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire 😊
I’m glad it went well yesterday GrandMattie, fingers crossed for your eye appointment.
Great that your husband is making such good progress Gingster.
Yesterday’s walk was a bit shorter. MrB accompanied me on a walk across to the bridge. We stayed to watch the trains for a while despite the grey skies and a freezing cold wind. I got to wave at a train 😂 I’m such a child at times!
Today I need to go to the pharmacy to collect a couple of my meds, it should be interesting! Fortunately it isn’t far to walk from the disabled parking bays.
Hoping for better times ahead for those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.
Wishing you all a happy Tuesday 🌹♥️

Nope. I can’t blame it on that Gingster! It was a deliberate comment.
I must be dim as I still can’t see what I said was incorrect!
Someone please point out my error it’ll irk me otherwise!
Ohhhh!
Thank you GG13 haha!
Yes, I use text shortcuts on my keyboard (iPad) for sentences or phrases I use a lot. #lazygran
Eg if I type ‘cari’ I get La Carihuela …
Do any of you use it? It’s very useful.
Here’s another (which I should have used here hehe!)
‘gmm’ (my keypad shortcut) gives me “Good morning everybody from Málaga ….
Okay I’ll shut up now I know I’m wittering … 😂
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Not much to report as I have spent the last few days with a swollen face popping pills after broken abscessed tooth removal. Ibuprofen alternating with paracetamol the order of the day.
The swelling is going down now so I will go along to the music club, but no singing, which may please some…
I did an online grocery shop due later and that’s it.
Thoughts to Gingster Blossoming and all🌺🎼
