Welcome Indiebee👋 happy painting.
Good Morning Mick and Everyone from the East Sussex coast. I regularly read your lovely thread but haven't posted yet.
Now sitting in the garden with a coffee then I am making time to continue with a bright semi-abstract painting in watercolour. It's been sitting on the table staring at me for a few days without additions and I now have the guilts and some ideas!
Have a lovely day.
ginny what a dreadful thing to happen, your poor DH will take a while to get over it.
grandmattie I’ve been in the same position as you, it’s a difficult time and hard to get through. Thinking of you and sending support.
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Swelling going down now after tooth abscess removal and less pain. It’s been a bit longer than I expected, but can’t complain as it wasn’t a straightforward procedure. I was going to wish you all the best for the dentist today Jaxjacky!
As long as I can get on with my holiday prep etc.
Thoughts to grandmattie, ginny DH and birthday greetings to cornergran🌺🎼
Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire, blue sky here baubles, I’ll send it over!
Unpleasant day yesterday, I woke with horrible vertigo which remained all day. Better today as long as I don’t move my head quickly so will take it quietly.
That was a dreadful experience for your DH ginny, he’ll be shaken for a while. His poor golf partner.
I’m so sorry too for your DGD Sar, fingers crossed for her now.
Happy Birthday cornergran
Been there. grandMattie, sending loving support.
Good morning from a grey midlands.
Hugs to all.
Morning, cloud and sun in S Hants
Happy Birthday corner 🥳🎂 have a lovely day.
Fingers crossed for a smooth move brook hopefully it stays dry.
Your poor granddaughter Sar she must be very fed up.
The dentist cancelled yesterday, so I’ve another week to wait.
Stretch class this morning, library, vape shop then I’ll clean the oven, watering later too.
🦩🦩
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. There’s quite a lot of cloud about so it may not be sunny for very long.
Hope the appointment goes well Marydoll
Happy Birthday Cornergran
What an awful experience for your DH ginny.

More decluttering planned for today, it’s never ending. I have lost so much weight in hospital that many of my clothes just swamp me. I ordered a pair of trousers online and they are huge, so back they go. Hoping to walk across to the marina later and catch the VE Day celebrations. If MrB looks the other way I may get a chance to have a quick look through the clothing rails!
Thinking of those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.
Wishing you all a happy Thursday 🌹♥️
Good morning from slightly overcast South Lanarkshire.
I’ve had a busy couple of days but have nothing on the agenda today.
I’m going to try to get ahead with my crochet. Our yarn group’s Christmas tree is in need of repair so we’ve begun making new squares in festive colours. There aren’t many of us and it will take some time.
A friend brought us a beautiful trout last night so tonight’s meal is sorted. He’s a keen fisherman who doesn’t eat fish so we are often grateful recipients of the results of his day out.
Sorry to read of the illness and loss which are affecting many of you, life can be so difficult.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good Morning from Durham - it’s very dull and overcast here. I’m sorry to read it’s not a very upbeat thread today. A decent night’s sleep, considering Little Dog hogged most of the bed! Unfortunately the plantar fasciitis isn’t really improving, so another day doing very little. Gardeners are due later.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from an overcast NE, perhaps it will improve.
Yesterday I washed and ironed a selection of tops in readiness for my holiday. It was good drying weather so hung them outside.
DD arrived in the UK last night but she has to work from home until tomorrow night and then she can prepare for our holiday commencing on Saturday.
Happy Birthday Cornergran enjoy your day.
Hope Mr FGT feels better today.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning Mick and all from a rather cloudy Carlisle. That does not mean it's going to rain I fear.
I'll turn on my outside tap now I'm confident it won't freeze up and give my plants a good dousing with the hose. I've already read the phrase 'hosepipe ban'. Apparently it's going to be a summer of drought.
I was busy all day yesterday with various jobs in the morning and the garden in the afternoon. My poor lawn is steadily turning yellow but won't be getting a watering ever.
The plumber arrived and measured up for a new radiator. I spoke with the installers later and, naturally, was assured that all would have been done properly. So now onto the manufacturers. It will all be a buck passing game...
Today, I must nip into town and might carry on to B&Q and have a look at bedding plants. It will be simpler than trying to get to my usual garden centre as major roadworks are going on in its vicinity for the next few months. And as for the centre of Carlisle....months of the same still to come.
I echo other people's concern grandMattie. Yes, you are still grieving and have yet to find a new balance in your life. I agree with FGT 's comment. Take care and best wishes.
Good morning everyone.
Wishing you a Happy Birthday corner 🎉🎂
From The SUR in English today:
“Residents and holidaymakers in Spain have hardly had the chance to put their umbrellas away so far this year. The last few months have been wetter than usual and many people have been waiting for May to enjoy the sun, but it is still not shining as brightly as we would like it to.
The first days of this month have brought precipitation and temperatures lower than usual. According to the country's state meteorological agency Aemet, this pattern will be maintained for the next few days in most parts of the country.“
Happy Birthday wishes to you cornergran. 🎉🦋🦄💐🎂
Good morning all from a dull Black country, washing on line hopefully the sun will shine later.
Shopping today just need to decide which supermarket DH likes to vary it.
Happy birthday cornergran 🎂🎉🎁 enjoy your day.
ginny how awful for your husband.
Hope all medical appointments go well and those with worries and stresses have an easier day.
Have the best day you can everyone ☀️.
ginny what a traumatic event for your husband to witness/assist. We never know the day. Poor lady just think, she got dressed looking forward to a round of golf and never returned home. Way to go but sends shivers doesn’t it?
grandMattie it makes me sad to hear you think of your life as pointless. It’s not, but you need to find some JOY for YOURSELF. Spend lots of time doing what sparks it please.
Many happy returns of the day to you corner that moisturiser you use is worth every penny the results are amazing.
Forgot to mention the lure of on-line retail therapy yesterday, and ended up ordering a pair of gold sandals (there was a special offer on the back page of my newspaper, with £30 off)...
Do I need them? No.
Do I want them? Yes.... nuff said....
grandMattie
Thank you for your suggestions.
My life is so pointless these days, that if I can do something to help others, it gives me purpose.
You will be relieved that the rest of this week and next is pretty quiet.
I am exactly the same age as you, also widowed, had a policeman at the door to tell me I was a widow then I lost another two loved family members within 18 months, I also live alone.
Having that pointless feeling is very common and this is something you can work on without the manipulation that is happening to you, caused by others seeing you as an easy touch
A step at a time, you are a different stage of the grieving process to me. I concentrated on healing myself, worked very hard at going through those stages and finally came out the other side buy making a life for myself. It is a different life and that is what you will, one day, accept
At the moment you are whirling around, keeping yourself busy so you don`t have to think
Really you need to find your own way to inner peace and it will not happen while at the same time being a whirling dervish. In the interim, perhaps look at doing an ou course or similar
Sar so sorry to hear S is back in hospital. It isn’t fair is it!
Poor girl , just at that age where life is busy and changing.
Let’s hope the meds can be sorted and successful. 🙏
Good morning everyone from a very dull and grey Northampton, only 6°C and not expected to get much higher. But ever hopeful I have set the washing machine going and really hope to finish the holiday laundry today.
Unpacking is finally done, and I have decided to store the suitcases in the garage, as they take up far too much space in the spare bedrooms.
Will have another quiet day at home as I nurse this dratted cough and cold; I am just not going out this week; there are lots of quiet things I can catch up on at home.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
ginny how upsetting for your DH 💐
Happy Birthday cornergran 🎂🥂🥳 enjoy your day
ginny how awful for your husband. It will be on his mind for a while, I would think.
