Morning from a very sunny S Hants, my back, which occasionally gives me grief, protested at stretch class yesterday so I cut out early.
Planting out r beans - not sure where - on the list today, sow courgettes and I’ve some money to move about online. Tesco delivery later and pub tonight.
I hope the steroids work Sar so difficult for her.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Back to art this morning, then to pick up prescription sunglasses. Expensive holiday insurance fixed up now and toenails cut ready for polish. Nails neglected during the winter..

Watched VE ceremony yesterday (or VD celebrations as my DH used to call it) It’s unusual for me to have the tv on during the day and I’m not keen on it, so a rare occurrence.

My brain is mush today and it was probably a sign that people really don't need my lengthy novellas, derailing the thread.

Good Morning from a bright, sunny Durham. Not a cloud in the sky. I’m like Billy no Mates here - the only house out of 5 occupied - everyone is away - Cyprus, Berlin, Alicante, plus one property standing empty although SSTC.

What a sad thread today. My thoughts are with FGT, been there, etc. We never got any replies to our urgent messages left and ended up having to ring the Consultants’ secretary. I hope the Christie is better.
MD too - I don’t know what to say, but hope you can take one day at a time.
I always think hearing/reading of others less fortunate, puts our own trivial issues into perspective? However, thank you for the PMs about my foot.

Garden Centre coffee with my oldest friend (not in age) where we’ll put the World to rights, then I’ll take DD2’s Little Dog home and plant up my window boxes later.

FGT2 you must be worried sick, I do hope it turns out to be something minor x.

Yesterday’s decluttering resulted in another bagful of never/hardly worn clothing. I have ordered 2 pairs of cheap cotton leggings online to wear at home or under short dresses. I no longer know what size I am and seller’s websites are not particularly helpful.

We didn’t get across to the marina as I didn’t really feel up to being in a crowded room. We had a stroll down to the lock gates instead and will probably do the same today. It was lovely and warm in the sun.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

Good morning Mick and all who follow. It's a glorious morning following a beautiful sunrise on the Angus coast. Our local met man is prophesying a repeat of the summer of '76 - that would be rather nice. That was the year we returned to the UK after nearly 4 years in Malta and it was a actually warmer in England than it had been in Malta when we left. We were then posted up to the Moray Firth coast in the September and the weather was still glorious then. Happy days.
So glad to hear your DGD is out of hospital again Sar. The pressure of exams is having such a bad effect on her - just when she needs to feel at her best
More for you and your lovely man FGT. Chemo trails its 'health blips' unfortunately - I hope you hear from the Christie's nurse quickly. 🙏🫂
Grandmattie your life sounds rather like the life I used to lead - and then came the first lockdown and I had to stop. I well remember after about three weeks of that enforced rest how well I felt, and I hadn't until that point realised just how tired I had been. I think you'd do well to start stepping back now rather than be forced to later by ill health. You've done amazingly well with the way you have integrated into your new life, and now's the time to reap the benefit of that 🫂
A belated happy birthday Corner - enjoy your weekend.
My week with DS here 'working from home' is drawing to a close, sadly but inevitably. It's been so lovely having him here. We had a lovely evening with my DGDs in Perth on Wednesday - all were on good form and there was lots of laughter. DGD1 was on two days off from her new job in a hotel in Aberfeldy so was able to join as and tell us all about that. Hospitality is the way she wants to go and strangely I think her degree in dance is going to help her there - she has that lovely deportment and confidence that goes with it.
Anyway DS is off south again tomorrow morning and I shall have to return to my mundane existence happy, calm and quiet life 😉😁. I shall have to keep on with clearing out of everything - I am discovering now what a hoarder I've been during the nearly 30 years I have lived here!!

Just to say. Flights home are booked for tomorrow morning and the Christie secretary rang me. She’s lovely. Appointment given for Monday afternoon, bloods, clinic and possible camera down. Very efficient.

Good afternoon Michael12 and everyone!

I had a really weird dream last night! There was a large house containing parents with 3 young kids and I'd rented a room in their house but it wasn't one single room it was an entire flat in their house.

I found the family to be a bit....weird... so avoided them when possible.

It was in my flat in the livingroom, it was night and all the curtains etc. were closed. I was watching TV and suddenly got the idea I was being watched, I tried to ignore it and concentrate on the telly but in the end I got up and crept around, going from the livingroom to the bedroom then bathroom and kitchen and the more time I spent in the bedroom the more the horrible being watched feeling became.

It was now so bad I was physically shaking and peeked out of the window blinds .... to find a huge guinea pig on the windowsill!

I gently picked him up and was cuddling him to find there was some straps attached to him around the shoulders which went up the back of his neck which was then attached to a tiny spy camera on the top of his head!

So I was being watched after all and I was positive it was the creepy family who put it on him!

I immediately took the straps and camera off, broke the camera and soaked it in hot water with bleach and sat back down to watch the telly snuggled in with the guinea pig.

Then the dream changed to something else!

Weirdo!
