Good morning from s somerset, bright and breezy today

I do love how this site makes me have some order in my mind, about what I can do with the day.

I have been supporting a dd a lot, she has a very poorly horse and it has been touch and go. Dd is the type to fall apart when she loves an animal so much, all our family are supporting her and he had a 50: 50 chance through the night. She is with him now and hand feeding him a sloppy mash and he is standing up. Maybe he will get through this

I need to take my mind off this and will cycle to the plot later, only to take coverings off.

I did the great seasonal bedding and covers swap yesterday, the linen is now pale pink gingham and looks so bright and fresh. I did bottom the bedroom last night and all the washing is dry, will be put away today

I do want to make scones and bread today, basics for my freezer. Pottering keeps my house nice, no need for a cleaner so a bit of pottering for me this afternoon too. I did dust yesterday, it was speedy with microfibre gloves

Have a good day

Good morning from a fine, dry Torbay with sunshine forecast again.

Yesterday we went by bus into town to do some shopping (including shoes for me and a jacket for DH). I'm still delighted to find how much more I can accomplish now without becoming too tired, compared with last year, culminating in the hospital stay in March. Arthritic joints still hurt but I feel generally well in a way I hadn’t expected ever to experience again. We enjoyed an al fresco lunch in the warm sunshine overlooking the harbour.

I hope Sar’s GD is soon out of hospital and Mr. Gingster continues to progress. It’s good that you’ve been able to go out at times, Gingster.

Safe journeys and happy days to the holidaymakers! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from a dry Bristol. It’s still quite chilly in the early mornings, and now very dry.
I had a quiet day yesterday, with just tai chi. I had a good nap after lunch and spent the afternoon pottering, assembling my quilt.
Just Spanish today. If the sun appears and the wind dies down, I’ll sit outside and hand sew the bits on my quilt.
I hope you all have a good day.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where it’s another warm day already although we are told there’s a chance of ‘blood rain’ which will seriously annoy me if it mucks up my pristine new paintwork that I slaved over last weekend!

I’m just off to watch the boys. Littlest won’t be going to nursery this afternoon as DD3 doesn’t want to risk him catching anything that might cause his surgery to be postponed again.

I’ll have to take him with me to the hairdresser later as I’m having a trim. I never know what to do with my hair these days.

Belated birthday greetings to cornergran, hope you had a lovely day.💐

Better get going. I’m late! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Hope the day is kind to you all.☀️

Good morning everyone from cool north Wales coast - not sure why yesterday’s pic of Llandudno & Great Orme didn’t turn up! I’m a bit hit and miss with cameras…🤦‍♀️

Oh fresh trout Baubles 😋. My dad’s angling days are over alas (due to me reading him the riot act after he fell in the river trying to land a whopping salmon…🤬) but I do miss the produce!

Belated birthday greetings for Cornergran- hope you had a smashing day. 🥳

So many of you with trying times with doctors, dentists and other dratted issues but we keep soldiering on 💐 I sometimes think no sooner do we get good news on one front then are blindsided by another sneaky buggeration!

Welcome to the newbies - this is a lovely thread, getting to know about folks doings across the country - good, bad and all things in between 😊

A quiet day at home in the garden with a prawn risotto later which means opening a bottle of white wine…for the maker of course - I simply waft the cork over actual dish!😉
