Good morning from sunny 12 degrees Cambridgeshire rising to 23 later.
Dentist for a check up and clean this morning then off to fetch last minute things for our holiday. Collect GC from school this afternoon.
Big hugs to all those struggling and have lots going on. Don’t want to name as I may miss someone out as my head all over the place. Have the best day possible to all 💐

Good Morning Tuesday 13th May 2025
(51 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its light its dry at the moment but nice and cool.
Usual routine today some housework then get bus to Bicester , chat to some I know.
Watch cycling on TV this afternoon.
Health OK
Take Care,
Mick
Marvellous cleaner will be here soon so a busy morning ahead. The weather forecast says heavy showers so I am wondering whether I shall be able to dry the bedding outside. It’s very frustrating to have to dash to retrieve it part way through the drying process but I do love the fact of free drying. So a domestic day, with WI this evening.
Thinking of the FGTs and all those with worries.
Good Morning Mick and everyone from warm, sunny Carlisle.
There was a busy morning of jobs yesterday with all the laundry outside to dry for once. In the afternoon, it was out in the garden but not for too long, it was so hot and sultry. One of my main tasks out there at the moment is watering, I have quite a lot of new plantings that need keeping an eye on.
I also started re-reading 'Conclave' which I read before when it first came out. I watched the film at the weekend and I see it follows the book well.
Today, I'm off to try and negotiate my way to the garden centre. Major roadworks abound between me and it at the moment...in the town centre, on the southern exit into the city and around the southeastern quadrant where we are getting a bypass. It's been going on for months and more to come. You should hear the taxi drivers moan and I don't blame them.
Later, I may be out in the garden or I may just sit and read. I may be extremely radical and dig my shorts out, I hate my pallid legs!
Best wishes to the little lad Bella. It will soon be behind him and hopefully forgotten.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from an already warm and sunny Suffolk with no rain forecast for this week or next. Our pond which is a natural one is beginning to dry up around the edges but it will,no doubt,as it has previously, refill when this hot weather ends.
Another quiet peaceful day at home with short spells sitting in the sun trap of a back yard. Luckily the dog knows when she needs to move inside to cool down, unlike a friend’s who has to be physically removed and taken indoors.
Pleased to read that Gingster is able to return to some of her activities and that her DH is happy to be at home by himself for short periods of time. Hope that all goes well forBellasnanna’s DGS2 and he bounces back from his op in the way that only young children do.
Hoping for a peaceful day for all.
Good morning from a very sunny Black Country.
Yesterday we walked over 6 miles on our walk which turned out very sunny and warm after initially being cloudy. Then Line Dancing in the afternoon. My legs ached when I was home!
We had a thunderstorm with rain the afternoon, which lasted all of 20 minutes!
Driving over to Mums today. Collect her prescription, then go out to lunch. I have booked a hair appointment for her at 2pm, then afterwards to Lidl to top up her supplies.
Wishing you all the best day possible.
Good morning all. Slightly overcast 11deg.in Glasgow at the moment but a calm sunny 23deg. is forecast.
GD2 enjoyed her birthday morning before they all set off for their bunji jumping experience. Huge thumbs up from those who ‘jumped’. Whatching videos of the event was enough excitement for me.
A lazyish day ahead as I overdid working in the garden yesterday and to I am paying the price, sore and stiff reaching for pain relief first thing. Such a shame as I so enjoyed achieving various tasks…the mind is willing but the body won’t comply.
Best wishes to all for a pleasant day.
Good Morning from Durham. It’s an overcast, cool start today.
I haven’t slept well, but I’m off to meet a friend for coffee at 11.
Thinking of those with worries.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from a warm and sunny midlands. Knitting group today.
Hugs to all suffering.
Another sunny Good morning from N. Bucks.
Some project prep to do for tomorrow.
WI knitting group this afternoon and this evening we will pop round to see DD2s newly decorated bedrooms and help her construct some cabinets.
Good luck to all undergoing medical appointments and procedures.
Wishing all a good day.
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Dentist this afternoon and packing for getaway tomorrow.
DD met up with friends last night and I watched an old film on D.H.Lawrence on YouTube.
There is a wasps’ nest under DDs window, so I’m having a think about that.
Dsister, who is joining us on the family holiday, has now developed toothache and is joining me on the antibiotic route. I have two boxes and will be glad to finish them as they make me feel quite odd and listless.
Thoughts to FGT Bella and all 🌺🎼
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. The weather man says this sunny spell is set to continue, though the grass is looking very yellow and could do with some rain.
Pleased to hear the cataract op has gone well GrandmaBatty.
My walker has been a godsend Gingster, hope your DH gets on well with his.
Great that you enjoyed the weekend Marydoll, I haven’t been able to post photos since the Gransnet site maintenance. I have reported it but they said it’s fixed. I managed to post one last night using the mobile site, but I couldn’t post a second one. I know FGT2 has had the same problem.
Hope all goes well for your little one Bellasnanna, a worrying time.
Hoping for more good news for FGT2 and her DH tomorrow.
As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.
Wishing all you all a happy Tuesday 🌹♥️
Thanks, Blossoming, I too have emailed GNHQ.
I hope you are making progress. 🥰
Good morning Mick and all GN's on a sunny but windy day in north Yorkshire.
Hope all is going well for you. Have been ill and only just started getting going again. Feel rather overwhelmed, and lacking in ideas , not much energy, but its a start. No plans on the day but just plod along doing what I can.
Good to see you back Madeleine sorry you’ve been ill, I hope you recover soon, take it easy.
Good morning from East Lancashire! It is lovely and sunny after a chilly start. We have an unexpected visitor today in that GS has caught Chicken Pox so is with us for the next few days while parents are at work.
I woke up with a headache today just hoping it is not a pre-cursor to anything worse. DH has had the shingles vaccination and I haven't. But we had GS for an overnight stay over the weekend before we even knew he was infectious. Seeing as he caught it from nursery you'd think they would look after all the kids that have it to make easier on the parents. That happened when my DS was little when I rang up to say he wouldn't be in - they said if he was happy to bring him in as they already had four kids in with it!!
Very comically GS thinks he's been bitten by a chicken!!
I have been worried about you Madeleine, best wishes for a quick recovery
I'm glad you felt able to post Madeleine. I hope you continue to feel better.
Get well soon Madeleine💐
madeleine45 let your body guide you, rest up.
We have been wondering why you haven’t been posting 🌸🌸🌸
Good morning ,oh it's afternoon, from the Scottish Borders. Another beauty of a day here.
I'm hiding in the kitchen whilst a surveyor is making his way around the house , doing a home report.
I hope he doesn't get lost.
So glad your op went well Grandmabatty it's a miracle isn't it!
Seeing my wrinkles for the first time wasn't so great after mine. I'm still waiting for the second eye.
I hope your wee DGS has an OK time too Bellasnanna 🤞
Your holiday in the East Neuk sounds perfect Marydoll a recipe for happiness and memories to last.
Thinking of Madeleine, swampy Greyduster particularly today but others too. I hope FGT and her DH are well enough to go back to Spain.
madeleine45 pleased to see you posting again, but sorry you’ve been ill. Hope you’ll soon be feeling better.
Good to see you back Madeleine.
Hope your health improves quickly.
I sent you a PM a few days ago. Don't
think you've seen it.

Good morning
It’s very warm here in Co Armagh
I’ve taken in washing that was left out last night , it’s gone a bit baked !
I’m hoping to move stuff in the greenhouse to make it less of a trip hazard, but I’ll wait till the sun move a bit !
Just realised it’s Afternoon! Better make a bite of lunch !
Nice to see you posting Madeleine sorry you’ve been ill 💐
Grammaretto the state of my kitchen cupboard doors! 😱😂I can't bend to clean them yet
