Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Another dry and warm day seems likely.

OH and I are off to another Oxfordshire Arts Week venue. We’ve already got three of her pictures!

A garden centre beckons too. Our gardener is due on Tuesday and we said we’d get some plants over the weekend for the three or four pots which need filling. Maybe fuchsias which I love.

I bought birthday presents and cards for elder son and daughter yesterday. Those need to be wrapped. Daughter is off to Malta with friends tomorrow but I may see son on Tuesday after I’ve attended a study day in London.

Have a good day. I’m wishing the FGT2S all the best for a successful operation next week.

Good morning from an overcast Essex coast where it is supposed to be sunny later.
We are leaving about 10 to go to Wembley for the FA Cup Final. I have butterflies 🦋.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and find some sun.
Best wishes to all xx

Good morning, it’s a cloudy start here in south Glos after yesterday’s wonderful sunshine.
DH walked tiddler yesterday morning, she launched herself into the little river in the valley much to his astonishment! She was on a 10m line luckily and had a wonderful time in the water where there’s a natural beach. For a dog that’s had spent 7 years living in a small room, never walked, nothing to play with, she’s remarkably adventurous- obviously we’re really alert to potential dangers when out as she has no sense of danger etc. She’s an absolute poppet 😍
She had a bath when she got back; rolling in dust and cowpats when wet wasn’t such a clever idea!
My back continues to be very painful, it’s really exasperating me. I’m no good at being patient 🙄
Will do a walk with DH and the dogs this morning, I have an online all day art workshop today but I really don’t know if I’ll be able to sit for the 6 hours!
Anyway, I hope today goes well for you all, have a lovely weekend 🌹

Morning Mick, morning All. Not looked out yet as I don’t want to disturb a slumbering Mr C. A fine, sunny day forecast.

Volunteer session lifted my spirits yesterday morning. After a quick supermarket visit, M&S rather than Waitrose this week, we spent an hour in the garden beginning to cut down the montana which after many years is now far too vigorous for the available space. Goodness is it dusty.

We’ll carry on today, the plan is to cut it right back almost to the base and see if it thrives. If not there’s a small climbing rose I have my eye on to take it’s place. We’ll give it a year and decide. Then it will be on to clearing some planters of bulbs to make way for summer planting. My plan to focus on drought tolerant plants will undoubtedly ensure a wet summer grin.

Thoughts are with those with personal mountains to climb

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from a grey Bristol. No rain forecast..
I haven’t read any posts yet as I have only just woken up.
I went straight into town yesterday after my Spanish class, which meant I came home at nearly 3 pm. A long day.
Once home, I saw that the lawns had been cut, the cuttings removed (!), the hedges lightly trimmed, etc. we have been fighting for this to be done for weeks.
I sent the resident manager a mail thanking her for having managed to get the (lazy) gardeners to do the work. The usual response from them was that it was not in their contract!
Today, I’m serving coffee in church.
My heart goes out to all in distress, especially the FGTs and MD. Hope you have a good weekend.

Good morning from s somerset, another lovely sunny day today

Yesterday I popped my plant babies into soil and covered the last 3 blueberry bushes with net. Did home some weeding using a strong sharp hori hori and soon before bed decided to spend 30 minutes in my sewing room. All I did was thread my serger, iron interfacing on and read instructions as every pattern maker has different seam allowances

I spent quite a lot of time just sitting outside in the perfect temperature, the water sound was mesmerising and birdsong was beautiful

Today starts with a crispy croissant, my last from the freezer. A cycle ride, more sitting outside while the weather is so nice and a bit more sewing. That flowy skirt will get done for summer

Dd was putting muck on the muck heap and a long brown and yellow snake startled the life out of her, a good metre long, it went up a metal railing and down the other side. Female grass snake I think

Have a good day

Good morning all. Sunny but still a chill in the air in early morning Glasgow.

Taking advantage of this spell of sunny, dry weather I knew I had overdone things in the garden yesterday. Feeling tired out I was in bed by 9.30 pleased though to have had a constructive day. More of the same today but will pace myself. Something that is alien to me but I just have to accept it’s time to slow down.

Wishing all a good day and a gentler day for those with difficult times whatever they may be.

Good morning from sunny Corfu.
The weather was indifferent yesterday so we drove to Sissi’s palace, where only the garden was open and the whole place had deteriorated since my last visit a long time ago with DH. Then to the archeological museum in Corfu town, rather pricey at 10 euros each for a small collection.

Over a two hour drive altogether and in the evening a nice meal including an off the cuff general quiz of my own devising causing more hilarity. It’s been non stop laughter with the family, a real tonic.

Sunny now so a novel reading day around the pool and a little sketching for me.
Thoughts to FGTs and all ☀️🏖

Good morning from a fine but breezy Torbay.

Yesterday, I was pleased to have coped with solo bus rides for the first time in many months, having had the support of DH for some weeks after my hospital stay. I am fortunate to live close to a reliable and frequent bus service, enabling me to leave the car at home for much of the time.

I was shocked to read your comment yesterday, Blossoming regarding your sodium and potassium results a while back! I thought mine were seriously low two months ago when my physician advised my DD2 and DS (who live over 200 miles away) to visit as he wasn’t sure what the outcome would be. However, my levels were detectable (lowest sodium score was 109) and resulted in several IV infusions over five days. I hope you feel as well as possible now.

We appreciated reading your post yesterday, FGT2 as many of us are thinking of you and your DH. 💐

Thoughts with all facing health concerns or other worries. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning Mick and Bellasnana from a breezy north Wales coast - my neighbour’s palm tree 🌴 is almost horizontal so a jacket will be worn on my trot for a newspaper after my morning reviver☕️

Saddened to catch up on the FGTs update 😘but in awe of how their treatment plan swings into action with it beginning immediately 👏

Another quiet day for us, reading and enjoying the garden - haven’t eaten indoors since beginning of April! Doesn’t food taste delicious al fresco 😋

Good morning from Malta where the high is expected to be 24°C with a chance of isolated showers and a bit breezy.

Lots to do today as my place needs a thorough clean rather than the ‘lick and a promise’ I usually give it.

Also need to go to the pharmacy so a walk to the village will be in store at some stage.

Really enjoyed the tennis yesterday, some astonishing matches played. I will watch the Ladies Final this afternoon, also from Italy like Mick’s cycling.

Did you see anything of the fire at Bicester Village, Mick? I thought of you when I saw the sad news.

Wishing you all a good day ☀️
