Hello Farid247, nice to see you here.
Redcar it also contained quite a lot of trash! I’m guilty of looking at clothes and thinking ‘That’s still got some wear in it”. I’ve given up saving things for best though, I want to enjoy the best right now.
Good morning everyone. I joined Gransnet some time ago but this is the first time I have entered the cafe.
We were up early today and had a 40 min session at the local Table Tennis Centre. My DH plays in a team but I just practice with him as it really helps my legs strengthen.
Then we call in at a little Japanese lunch place for chicken Katsu which is delicious.
Now we are having a little doze.
Did you notice today is a full moon? I notice the weather shifts on the full moon. It does feel like summer is finally here.

*CountessFosco*: I’m sure you’ll be advised that it can take six weeks for your brain to fully realise that the aids are in place so be prepared to persevere. My current ones (NHS) are linked via an App to my smart phone, enabling me to control the volume, etc and adjust for noisy environments.
PS: I’m intrigued by your choice of name as, a few years ago, I played the part of the Countess in an amdram production of Woman in White.
Quite so....have read The Woman in White 16 times, loving it each time. Oh Laura and Marion, how you suffered. Walter too
blossoming I wish my wardrobe contained treasure like yours!!
CountessFosco I hope you will be as amazed as I was, in a good way, by your new hearing aids. It does take a little while to settle but it is good to be able to join in conversations
Good morning from Cambridgeshire. I am a bit slow this morning and only just eating my breakfast. I should have been meeting a friend for lunch but not been feeling 100% over the last few days so going to have a few quiet days.
Hope everyone has a good day. I will now catch up on everyone’s news
Up early this morning as had grandkids overnight, butty boxes made, breakfasts done and then went off to do school and nursery drop offs.
Chilling with a coffee now.
Good morning from sunny s somerset
Having a coffee break from sewing, my plans for today, sewing as I am completely in the mood and a walk later
Nothing to do in the garden today, I picked the first blackcurrants yesterday,1.5lbs. The bulk will be in a couple of weeks, the old way, cutting whole branches off and bringing them indoors to pick. Freezer is ready for my berries and currants.
Today I finished the last of my blueberries from my bushes in tubs. I eat some every day of the year. It will be easier this year, I netted them. I do give the blackbirds plenty of berries, yesterday a lot of them lined up on my roof when I took the blackcurrant nets off
I think I will make a salad dressing from parsley, olive oil and garlic. Freezing large ice cubes. I love this type of dressing on my daily salads
Have a good day and best wishes for Iris to have a speedy recovery
Like unexpected gifts Blossoming 🎁
Enjoy the wedding Twiglet
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.
Yesterday we went for our usual walk to the dock gates before lunch. I find I get less tired then.
After lunch I went through the two small storage boxes from the bottom of the wardrobe. One did indeed contain thermal vest and over the knee socks, so put that away again. The other contained treasure
! Things I’d bought and never worn, I don’t remember buying them. My haul included a lovely silver grey cashmere sweater, a pair of walking trousers and 2 pairs of M&S leggings. I think I must have put them away in anticipation of a weekend away that never happened. Never mind, I’ll enjoy wearing them now.
My TMJ problem is getting better, the pain in my shoulder still troublesome so no overstretching or lifting for now. No more CoCodamol needed, it’s a very effective painkiller but it knocks me out.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Iris Grandmattie.
Sending positive vibes to FGT2 and Himself.
As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort.
Have the best day you can, happy Wednesday 🌹
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Yesterday saw the music club in another part of the complex as there is building work going on. It’s a smaller room so we are a bit crammed in. My songs went well, although it’s a bit fiddly getting my backings just right on my Bluetooth. I sing some folk songs unaccompanied so that’s fine. One of the guitarists went through a song with me, but he sings himself so I don’t think he wants to take on full time accompaniment.
In the evening I set off for what I thought was the first night of a local production but found the theatre closed up. I had the wrong night and it’s tonight! Bought myself some chocolate and came home to watch tv with the cat and fell asleep in the middle of a programme.
Hope the wedding goes well Twiglet and thoughts to Iris🌺
A quick Good Morning from the south coast where the sun is trying to break through.
Tesco due any minute so I’d better get my skates on.
I hope you all have a good day.

Hello bonjour from S.W. Herts. Not how one would necessarily wish to spend the day. Hospital audiology appointment for fitting hearing aids at the most inconvenient time = 12.00-13.00. Only hope they work and give clarity of hearing.
Cloudy but with promise{?} of sunshine later and 24 degrees.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
I overslept. I must have been exhausted after my pottery class last night! OH made a wonderful cereal bowl while I managed an assortment of misshapen pots.
I am having a chin wax at 12.30 pm at the Village Beauty Salon. Eek. I last had it done in Australia earlier this year. If I ignored it I’m sure it would be down to my knees by now. OTOH I have to draw my eyebrows in every day.
OH and I will go to the last Local History society talk of the season this evening - the Civil War in Oxford.
I hope all goes well for Iris. Best wishes to FGT2.
Good morning from Shropshire.A high of 25 today🥵
A late start today. We will collect DGD from netball later and take her to her dance class.
I hope Iris has her operation, that all goes well and that she has a speedy recovery🦩
Wishing everyone the best day posssible🌻
Good Morning from a bright, sunny Durham. I’m meeting a friend for coffee/lunch in M&S this morning, then definitely sorting out a new mobile phone. Must contact my decorator and an aerial chap as the signal in the family room is very poor. I’m getting DD2’s Little Dog tonight and keeping him for a fortnight while they’re in Majorca. He will restrict me, but that can’t be helped. He’s very friendly, harmless and not too bright! I’ll pop in and see DGS2 before I pick up the dog.
I hope Marydoll’s dental appointment went as well as mine - a repaired tooth and a good clean - I was pleasantly surprised, as was my purse.
Good luck to Iris today gM.
Hope the wedding goes well Twiglet. They were a daily event in our Hotel on Cyprus when I was there last month.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from sunny South Lanarkshire.
Yesterday’s shift in the charity shop was hectic from start to finish, our donation pens are packed from floor to ceiling. I’m actually glad not to be the one responsible for sorting it all.
We’re off to Edinburgh for our childminding stint today.
Good luck to Iris today.
Enjoy your daughter’s wedding Twiglet, and Kalu, have a lovely break in beautiful Perthshire.
Wishing everyone a good day.
Morning a Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.
Little sleep, again, last night. A difficult pattern at the moment. Had a super two hours with our friends yesterday including a tasty lunch, before a fruitless search for two tops I want - notice want not need! It was a good day and definitely better for the wallet than anticipated
Our neighbours will be here for coffee this morning, we hope to head to the sea front after a quick lunch.
🤞 for iris.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy but a warm day ahead
Kalu 💐
I’m off to the gym this morning for a couple of dance type classes and then later looking forward to picking up DGD from school and her staying over tonight. DD2 has a very early start tomorrow so we’re happy to help out and DGS is still away enjoying his school trip
Congratulations to your DD twiglet, have a lovely day!
Enjoy Pitlochry Grammaretto and the theatre, a lovely place
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Good morning from the Essex coast.
I'm home after a very busy few days in Leamington.
Yesterday late afternoon we had two family birthdays to celebrate, one aged 11 the other aged 70. Two beautiful cakes were made by 14 year old granddaughter.
We had a committee meeting in the evening. I was very tired when we got home.
DD2 has booked for her, DGD1 and I to go and see Les Mis next month. I've seen it before but it's one of my favourite shows.
I've a busy day ahead with lots of club admin, washing and housework.
My best wishes to Iris.
Have a great day everyone, best wishes to all xx
Good morning all and it’s forecast to be warm and sunny.
Yesterday was lovely meeting up with my two old school pals for a couple of hours. We won’t meet again until October, when we hope to gather some more school friends together.
Today I’ll pop up to the market in town , meet an old neighbour for coffee and buy some skate wings from the travelling fish monger.
Best wishes for Iris today .
And *Grandmabatty .
Take care all 🌼
