Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 16° and cloudy. I foresee thundery showers ahead. Ash and Bellasnana thank you for your good wishes. GrandMattie I can understand why you were so upset. I'm heartily glad your son is safe.
Yesterday was a busy day. I stripped the bed and washed the sheets etc and got them hung out early. Emptied and loaded the dishwasher and ran it. I won't use it for a week or so to avoid bending. Then I did an hour in the school library, picked up my repeat prescription and hoovered etc . Tesco delivered a lot of ready meals to go from the fridge to the microwave. In the afternoon I visited a friend for a couple of hours. Back home, I ironed and prepared the house for an easy week.
Today my aunt will take me to hospital for the cataract surgery. I've to be there for eight but could be sitting a while. My daughter will pick me up afterwards. Then enforced rest for at least a week. I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny morning in Cheshire. The strong winds of yesterday have calmed down to a slight breeze. It's definitely a day in the garden, as I have plants to go in and I'll need some more for a colourful summer, so off to the garden centre later.

I'm going to the hairdresser's as it's quite a busy family weekend with people who couldn't attend my sister's funeral last month. There's a meal tomorrow evening. There will be tears, but I'm sure there will be laughter too. It has to be done, and the first of everything is always difficult.

Enjoy your day. Kind thoughts for all with worries. flowers

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset.

A rainy morning turned into a sunny and warm afternoon yesterday. Only managed two of my three phone calls, both were draining filled with much distress. I hope to get to the third this afternoon, I’m volunteering this morning which I always enjoy.

Hope the eye surgery goes to plan grandmab.

Safe travels to all on the move. Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is up in South Yorkshire. We had about a tablespoonful of rain yesterday afternoon. DD sent some wonderful photos of the Yorkshire
Dales, and the Norber Erratics rock formations which, to my shame I have never heard of but they’re quite a famous geological feature. I hope they get decent weather today as they are climbing Ingleborough.
I had a very long phone call with my old friend in York yesterday evening. She’s an absolute tonic! I’m trying to persuade her to come and stay for a few days. She says she’ll think about it. We don’t see enough of each other.
School volunteering this afternoon. Hope it stays dry enough to walk there and back.
A belated Happy Birthday to Merlotgran.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from sunny south Glos, it’s 16° already so it’s going to be warm today although (thankfully) nowhere near as warm as where Bellasnana is! I don’t tolerate heat at all nowadays.
We had torrential rain yesterday, bigger dog hates thunderstorms (I didn’t actually hear any) so spent several hours under the table in my art room while I did some watercolour painting.
The scaffolders were dismantling the scaffolding from the house across the road where the chap is building an extension, largely single-handed. He’s done a magnificent job.
They were absolutely drenched but at least it was relatively warm.
I walked both dogs individually later, warm work but I enjoy it. I want to get a pedometer, I’m curious as to just how far I walk.
Today tiddler and I will go out shortly, bigger dog has her dog walker, we’re heading for the village and a shady walk through woodland.
Have a lovely day 🌹

Good morning from a sunny Bristol. It rained most of yesterday, a good wetting rain. Today is to be sunnier.
I had a dreadful irrational shock when I heard about that England bound plane from India, crashing. My DS is flying home today, landing in the mid-afternoon, but it did give me a horrible feeling.
Iris is doing well - no news is good news. I suspect that she’ll be home today. I’ve given her one of those fancy Lego kits which can be a flamingo, axolotl or cockatoo which kept her busy yesterday.
My penultimate Spanish class for the year, then a WI book group this afternoon. I’ll probably see my boy tomorrow or the day after.
All the best to all. Have a good weekend. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where we have another sunny day with a high of 36°C expected.

Many thanks for all your lovely messages of condolence yesterday. I had a long talk with my eldest nephew. It was he who raised the alarm when his father didn’t answer several calls.

He and his youngest brother then went round and found their father sitting at his desk in the study with his breakfast beside him and newspapers on the floor. Such a shock for them but a mercy to know he went peacefully and in his own home.

He was a retired solicitor so his firm will deal with the legal stuff. No date for the funeral yet but I’m hoping to be able to get there. He was so good to me and my family.

merlotgran my apologies for missing your birthday. I hope you had a lovely day.

Best of luck for the cataract op Grandmabatty🙏🏻

Pantglas enjoy the remainder of your holiday.😎🏖️

I’m off to look after the boys, they certainly are the best tonic when one is feeling sad, such loving little chaps.

They have a Father’s Day event at nursery today so their daddy will be taking them at 11.30.

I’ve got my weekly hair appointment which I sorely need as it’s such humid, sweaty weather.

Thinking of all of you kind ladies who share life’s ups and downs with me. I do appreciate your kindness. Thanks to Mick for this lovely thread.☀️

Good morning Mick and all from our penultimate day in Antalya to be spent lolling around the 🏊‍♀️ pool!

We’ve had the most marvellous time trying new foods, visiting ruins and waterfalls but I’m always happy to go home to our little 🪺 in north Wales so I’ll put my order in now for some 🌞 there on Sunday whoever is in charge of the weatherbarn 🙏

Not up to speed with all your bizzinesses but wish all with celebrations the best 🥂, 💐 for those with challenges and safe journeys to all travellers x

Good morning from a breezy but dry Torbay.

Good luck with the visual field test, Mick.

I hope Iris is making a good recovery and that Grandmabatty’s cataract operation goes well.

This morning, I’m meeting some friends from my Move It or Lose It class for coffee. I’m glad it wasn’t yesterday when we had a very wet morning here causing me to hibernate.

Wishing everyone well. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
