Good afternoon, Michael12 and everyone!
It's pouring with rain here which is gorgeous as I love rain, the heavier the better! .... and I'm sat on the park bench again for a 1/2 hour work break, avoiding the staff break room as much as possible as always, this time because of Tina and her yackety-yak about her latest squeeze and every poop her baby makes!
I'm wearing my black wooly hat and scoffing a hot sausage roll, washed down with a can of Monster Ultra!
Last night I watched The Devil's Mercy with the brilliant Dylan Everett as Calvin. Very good movie and special effects!
I had a weird but hilarious dream a few night ago where I was walking along the street somewhere, looked around and realized I was being followed.... by a sprout! But not just the common garden variety of sprout! Oh no! This one was about 7 feet tall and no matter where I went the sprout followed!
I had the impression is was trying to protect me from someone or something but you know what dreams are like, they can be mixed up!
Have a good one all of you! Now I'm back to work in a few minutes to deal with my lovely residents!
Thank you all just posting has lifted me knowing you understand. Thanks to all that sent wishes truly grateful.💕
Condolences to Harris and Harrigran
Harrigran, sincere condolences. 💐🕯
My condolences to Harris and Harrigran xx
Good morning from a bright South Lanarkshire. Condolences to harris27 and harrigran, all the shared experiences and memories are hard to lose.
Really hard for you too Kalu doing on your own what you once only did together, how thoughtful of your granddaughters to know that and arrive to keep you company, kind girls.
I’m getting ready to head off for my childminding duties. 12 year old DGD was away from Monday to Friday last week on a school camp organised by the Mary’s Meals charity. They had great weather and lots of outdoor activities, climbing, canoeing etc as well as learning about the work carried out by the charity. She referred to it as her Holy Week and I’m looking forward to hearing all about it.
Thoughts and good wishes to everyone in whatever circumstances.X
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it feels like we'll get rain. Just heard thunder!
I'm expecting a visit from the man who hopes to buy my house. He needs to talk to me.
sounds ominous
I offered to do an extra shift at the community store this afternoon so when shall I do my Gaelic homework 🙃.
So sorry to hear your sad news Harris and Harrigan. Our siblings are precious.
Yesterday was a good walk in the Border hills followed by cream tea and sandwiches in the leader's sunny garden.
Beautiful silk painting Holly. You and others here are very talented.
Hoping everyone has the best day possible.
Condolences Harris27 and harrigran💐
Good morning from Durham. Yesterday’s visit by an EA to appraise my house resulted in a very pleasant surprise - not that I’m really thinking of selling.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee soon, then ‘on call’ for DD1. Her car is off the road in Sunderland and she’ll need a lift there when it’s ready to collect.
Little Dog to walk this evening.
💐 Harris and Harrigran
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.
Yesterday we had our usual walk down to the Dock gates in the sunshine. Today we need to check out the accessible parking and the distance to my opticians. I will need to use the wheelchair and have not been there for a couple of years. I also need to order a prescription.
As always, my thoughts are with those dealing with illness and troubles, I hope the day brings you some comfort and relief.
Have the best day you can 🌹
Morning sunny in S Hants.
My condolences Harris27 and to you harrigran 🥀
Yesterday car was checked over and fuelled up, the voluntary phone was very quiet, but those sorted with lifts were as always very grateful.
I had a sore throat yesterday morning and a cough developed during the day, so I was keeping my distance at quiz. Good job too, I had a very rough night and a + Covid test earlier, that’s me grounded for a few days.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. We’ve had rain overnight but I think it may be brightening up a little.
My condolences to Harris27 and to harrigran.
Love your silk painting holly.
Charity shop day and yarn group this evening. I’d rather they weren’t on the same day though.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.
DH has gone into the office so I don't have to tiptoe about while hearing endless Teams calls from upstairs.
Going to double check my planning and resources for my morning with YR tomorrow then will pop out to do some errands.
This afternoon I'll plant up the last of the garden pots.
I'm sorry to hear of the bereavements. My Aunt still misses my Mum. Their eldest sister died recently so 9 siblings are down to 3.
Wishing you comfort and peace. 🌹
What a beautiful picture, Hollysteer, there are some very talented people on this thread.
Have a lovely day, everyone. 🌻
Sending sincere condolences, Harris27. 💐 May your DB rest in peace. 🕯
Good morning from a sunny N. Bucks., although the breeze is a little chilly.DH has his table tennis session and then we are going to visit my SIL she is about an hours drive away.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.
Good morning from a dry but cloudy NE.
Yesterday I spent the morning sorting out a problem with the financial advisor then I went to check if the postman had been.
In the box I found an order of service for my BIL saying that he had died on 22 nd May and the funeral is 17th June.
This was my DH's youngest brother and I got such a shock, I rang my family and let them know and DS was concerned about me and came to the house after work to check on me.
DS and DIL are coming today and will take me to the funeral,
SIL is travelling to the UK today but will not arrive until this evening.
Have the best day you can.
Good morning Mick and everyone from rainy Carlisle.
Well, we need it because our reservoirs are well down but not welcome today, thank you, because I intend to visit the garden centre. Unless it becomes torrential, I'm still going as there are things I want/need.
Apart from that, there are bathrooms to clean, plumbers to chase....no one is getting back to me. This must be the worst place in England to get a tradesperson to do anything!
I'm amused by the vision of aged ladies shimmying about in harem costumes! I took up belly dancing in my fifties, it's really good exercise for the body and great fun but these days, if I did it again, just in the privacy of my own home thank you!
Have a good day everyone, if possible.
Good morning everyone from a sunny south coast. I’m off to the allotment this morning with a boot load of plants for our bee friendly flower and herb bed. Thankfully the tide will be receding from the parking area nearest our plot, otherwise it’s rather a long walk from the main gate.
Some of our little gang are or will be on holiday for the next couple of weeks so it’s going to be a challenge for me to keep it all going.
This afternoon I must clear out my airing cupboard because the boiler is being serviced tomorrow morning.
Such fun!!
Hope everyone has a good day.
Been up early as the last week has been an emotional rollercoaster. My dear brother died on Saturday morning with an early call from the hospital. I made it with about five minutes to spare and held his hand as he passed. It’s coming to terms being my last brother to go and all of the memories he has left me. You do not know how reading your daily morning posts has helped me realise how life goes on and normality will resume. Busy day ahead again with numerous calls and people to speak to I’m determined to get back into some routine and keep busy. Thank you all for keeping me going now and moving in. Bless you and have a good day all.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
A fairly busy day looms. I’m going to the excellent picture framer in a nearby town this morning to sort out frames for the two pictures I bought the other week at the Arts Festival. I don’t have the print which I ordered from the Summer Exhibition yet. I should receive it from the artist directly.
After lunch I will visit friends. One of our number had a massive stroke last Friday. I was sitting in a taxi in London when I got the phone call.
Finally tonight OH and I have our third pottery class.
One of OH’s hives has produced a lot of honey so he will be extracting that today.
Have a good day. I hope the FGT2S are ok - someone said the new treatment starts this week.
A very sticky night means I have woken up grumpy, and the forecast hot spell is not welcome but there’s not much I can do about it. No pleasing some people. Wonderful Cleaner due soon so bed changing and laundry this morning and WI this evening the plans for today. Must sort out some cooler clothes.
Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Nice quiet day yesterday catching up with various things and reading in the garden.
Today to music club so will have a warble before I go.
My Velcro cat keeps miaowing, don’t know what she wants, she can go out, the food is there and I’m not a mind reader…
Thinking of the FGTs, enjoy your DS company GM, also your DH Ashcombe
My painting on silk.
Ash, I appreciate the need to do belly swings, etc. But to do it for money, in harem costumes and so on, is a bit much. Unless they do it to be laughed at!
