Good morning from a sunny hillside in south Glos, off for dog walks soon.
A quiet day yesterday, I enjoyed more drawing and spent most of the day in my Shed.
Today more of the same after taking the dogs out individually.
I have salads for lunch every day this week, quick and easy and delicious 😋
My car passed its MOT yesterday, no problems- I do such a low mileage it’s hardly worth having but the public transport here is abysmal, so it’s a necessity unfortunately.

Sending best wishes 🌹

Good Morning from Durham. A cloudy day is forecast with a maximum of 21 - not exactly a heatwave here.
Men are arriving at 8.30 with replacement window units for the conservatory. It’s south facing and units fail every year because of the extremes of temperature. I’ve ignored them for 3 years, so a lot are to be replaced today. An expensive job, but it looks unsightly.
I’ve a friend calling for coffee mid-morning - with Little Dog, we’ll lock ourselves away in the family room and ignore the mayhem.

Hopefully DD1’s car is fixed properly this time. Touch and go, but I got her to the garage to collect it, just before closing. DD2 continues to have a wonderful holiday. DGS2 has discovered the Kids Club and absolutely loves it.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning everyone from a misty Lancashire.
About to get showered and dressed ready for work. I was booked for the morning but have been asked to stay all day, so I need a packed lunch too.

Got lots of pots and planters potted up yesterday afternoon, including a couple to pass onto friends. I've still got some seedlings to plant out in the beds, but they need to get a bit bigger so could wait.

Wishing you all a good day. 🌻

Good morning from a bright, sunny Torbay.

DH arrived safely after a perfect journey. Despite tiredness, he is happy to be up soon so we can shop in Lidl before it’s too hot or too crowded. Wednesday Club then Front of House duty for us both tonight for Noises Off, our current production.

Condolences to our bereaved grans. Funerals seem to take a while to be organised here, Bellasnana. A difficult time.

The best news about ,*Iris*, grandMattie and lovely to have time with your DS.

Keep cool, if you can! 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from a sunny Bristol. The wind seems to have died down a bit, which will be nice.
I had @ busy day yesterday, making my 3 ingredient brownies and some seeded digestive look alike. The latter recipe said the dough would make 20-24 biscuits. Ha! I made about 60!
DS came round and after a cup of tea, he decided to take me to a garden centre the other side of the bridge. We travelled less than 1/2 through the village when he decided (at my prompting) that the local garden shop would do. After all, all unwanted was some compost and some edging…. While there, we went into a charity shop and got him a replacement laptop bag.
We dug a good area round the little damson tree I have, put the edging and gave it 5cans of water. It’s not easy to get to; there are high pyracantha hedges, and I have to go through the communal hallway…. Looks lovely.
DS told me that Iris has been going to school, mostly in her wheelchair and coming home very happy. Good girl.
Today is my busy day. Morning prayers, FAB cafe, then a quick lunch before I help at the annual Ladies’ guild afternoon tea. Most of the members are very frail and/or not especially mobile.
Have a happy day one and all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Malta where a cooler 34°C is the high for today. We are expecting rain tomorrow and Friday. Typical when I’ve just cleaned my car!

Had fun with the boys yesterday. Brought them to my place and they had a great time in the paddling pool. They seem to enjoy filling up watering cans and emptying most of the water out. My plants will be killed by kindness I think!

It was too hot to be outside by noon so we came in and spent a happy few hours reading and playing with my son’s old train set and Playmobil toys.

They were as good as gold so I enjoyed their company very much.

After their mum picked them up I cleared the chaos and was in time to watch some tennis.

Today they have nursery in the afternoon so we won’t be going anywhere this morning.

Still no news from Kent as to when my BiL’s funeral will take place.

My condolences to Harris and Harrigran. May your departed loved ones rest in peace. 💐

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from s somerset, sunny and hot today

Heat will be building so I am up early with all windows open, to cool the house

Yesterday did not go according to plan but was very satisfying, the greenhouse glass arrived and I fixed the greenhouse. Went to the allotment after making more ballast bags and finished my dress.

The dress is lovely on, cool and lightweight and skims my hips. Alterations were to lower the bust dart by 1" and grading out from below the bust from 12 to 14, Canadian sizing. A very easy satisfying make. I will be making the top from the leftover fabric. A bargain £6 for top plus dress, satin viscose, slippery to work with. I will be wearing it today

I will closing blinds and shutters soon, pre-empting the sun and staying indoors. I need to get my paperwork file sorted today, have not done it for a year and I will make my top

Have a good day
