Madmeg
A medium glass of normal strength wine is about 2.4 units of alcohol which is above the safe driving limit and the advice is to not drive for abt 3 hours afterwards.
I have been a very heavy drinker at times in the past but as part of my long attempt to lose excess weight I switched to Zero alcohol red wine. It took ages to find one that was palatable and initially I mixed it with full-blown Shiraz, gradually increasing the percentage of Zero till I was eventually down to no real wine at all. It served me well cos I was diagnosed with oral cancer in 2023 so wine was off the menu anyway.
Unfortunately many pubs/restaurants still don't serve Zero wine of any sort, and very rarely the one I like. It also isn't sold in many supermarkets either and costs an absolute fortune to buy online. Even cruise ships only offer one brand - fortunately I find it pretty acceptable.
Sorry you've had a horrible day. Sometimes it is a very good answer.
