I enjoyed your post this morning (Glammagran) , it reminded me of the time that my mum and I had visited Marks and Spencer’s in Weymouth leaving DH and my father in charge of two year DD. We came back to find them searching for her! .
. I can still almost feel my stomach falling through the floor. I suppose it wasn’t really long before a lady appeared leading DD up and down the beach, but it felt like years!!!
You are right Weymouth beach is a beautiful fine sandy one, but I still haven’t quite forgiven it for the experience. DD 1 was not at all worried by the experience and actually has just arrived today for a holiday here in Portugal with us so it hasn’t put her off sandy beaches either.
A child getting lost isn’t easily forgotten. My 3 year old disappeared in British Home Stores one Christmas. Panic stations!! He was eventually found inside an unopened square checkout devouring a box of liqueur chocolates.
I hope you and your DD have a nice time with one another un Portugal Dustyangel
