Do you still have it because you love it, or because you can't afford a younger model, mine is a 18 year old Renault Clio, in great condition, I keep it because I love it, but also I can't afford a newer one anyway lol

My car will be 11 in a few months time. It has a name which is often lengthened to two syllables when I talk to it.

My car was first registered 2016. I bought it in 2018. I love it. It’s a Kia Rio Automatic. I love it and it will see me out, I’m sure😂

I have a 10 year old, bright red Vauxhall Corsa and I love it. It never gives a moment of trouble, feels safe but has a turn of speed when needed. I hope it and me have years of enjoyment to come. I can't imagine being without it.

I'm 81 this year, and often wonder which of us will go first, the car or me we're both still going strong lol

My car, a Kia Picanto in Adventurous Green is barely six months old. I love it!

Just a baby then, Ladyleftfieldlover lol

My DH’s 4 X 4 beast is 18 yrs old this September. (He loves that car more than anyone/anything else)

My sporty number is 4 yrs old, and I am looking around to see what’s out there at the moment.

I have a 15 year old VW Fox. It’s done well under 40,000 miles and sails through its MOT every year. I love it except for the fact that it has no air con (other than an open window) so I’m certainly not driving it at the moment! Fortunately it’s not the main family car.
When it finally fails its MOT or needs expensive repairs I shall wave bye bye!

My car is a Nissan Note. It is twelve years old. Still going strong. It is great for us because it is shared with dh and he is 6ft 2 and I'm only 5ft.Unlike a lot of small cars there is still room in the back for a passenger behind dh when he drives with the seat as far back as possible while still being fine for me when I drive with the seat as far forward as possible. grin We would consider a new car if they still did the Note but it was discontinued. The entire back seat moves back or forward in the upright position so you can choose to have a big boot and not much leg space or a smaller boot with plenty of leg room in the back.

Only about 5 years old (Honda Jazz) but my previous, a Ford Focus, was 21! It was still going well, but I was getting a bit nervous of it dying on me on the very busy 6 lane section of the M25 - part of the route I often take to dds in Oxford.

My previous ‘oldie’ - IIRC a mere 15 or so - had died on me, but luckily it was only just down the road from where we live. Very considerate of it!

I traded in my old fiat L and my husband’s elderly Skoda after his diagnosis meant he could no longer drive. We’d been planning to trade them in but events speeded it up.

I have a large lab, spaniel and growing grandchildren. I’d driven a Mini Cooper in 1967 and went to look at one. I soon realised I needed a big boot (dogs) and bigger interior than a mini.

In April 2022; I bought a Mini Cooper countryman and love it. It meets all my needs and is a nice drive. As my grannie would have said - it will see me out

Ours is a 2016 Honda Jazz. We love the jazz, this is our second. They are so reliable.

I love my automatic white BMW Series 1 Sport, bought new 2017, it has about 25,000 on the clock.
Don’t think I’ll be changing it any time soon as it’s still immaculate.

2025 Honda CRV, don’t expect to buy a replacement as I won’t live long enough for it to be worthwhile smile

petra Mon 30-Jun-25 16:18:29

This one is 68 yrs old. Driven every day.
Ohs pride and joy.

Let’s try again

We have a 5 year old Jeep Wrangler.

My Ford Fiesta is a 67 plate. I've had 'minty' since new and no plans to change her. I've pondered changing and even looked but nothing I see is better than her. She's got lots of bells and whistles that are 'extras' on other cars.

HowVeryDareYou2 Mon 30-Jun-25 16:59:17

Mine's a Dacia, a lovely shade of blue, 2019. My husband has got an old Mercedes but it's off the road for a while.

A 2009 Volvo C30 in Passion Red from new. This was Volvo’s only foray into the hatchback market and discontinued in 2016. It is something of a cult car and sought after by enthusiasts, so holds its value well. So comfortable to drive, and given Volvo’s reputation for longevity, I hope it will see me out. I could afford a top-of-the range car if I were to replace it, but I have no desire to do so.

I had to get rid of my mini last year because the mice ate it. They like the plastic round the electrics. Quite common apparently. It was 13 and I wanted it to last forever.
Now I have a VW, a 73 plate. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks, I had to get something a bit bigger because my mum is coming to live with us and she has a wheelchair. I hope this one sees me out.
This one beeps all the time and corrects the steering if it thinks I have veered over a white line if I’m not indicating.
It picks up old white lines that are under the tarmac and are invisible. Drives me up the wall.(almost literally) I think I can turn all sorts of things off but haven’t worked out how yet.
I just want it to get me from A to B.

keepingquiet Mon 30-Jun-25 17:22:57

Bought mine in 2016 so it's 9. Don't use it for long journeys anymore and although it has a few more years yet I won't be replacing it...

kittylester Mon 30-Jun-25 17:25:31

We have a year old Mazda that nags too, Pamela, but, on the whole, I like it.

Our other car is a 16 year old Toyota IQ. DH had one years ago and loved it.
