Ex council tin bins against a shed with canes supporting my runner beans and French beans, we had 2 runners yesterday each and 1 French bean each for dinner, 1st of this year's crop! Steamed with mini summer squash, mangetout, the odd sugar snap bean, last of the broad beans, red epicure, and new spuds, all homegrown!

My patio is a riot of colour with flowers in pots ll sown and grown from seeds by myself.

In a narrow flower bed next to the patio some wildflower seeds
were sown last year. So we now have a rather straggly set of
chicory growing, quite tall but with beautiful blue flowers which fade during the day. New flowers open each morning and are surrounded by small bees which we watch whilst sitting on a bench with cups of coffee.

Wooden table 6 chairs. Two large pots with flowering hostas, two large pots with conifers, 5 large pots with pansies, bird feeder and parasol which today would be good for hiding from rain. Bottom patio 4 chairs, two tables, 3 pots bamboo, two pots of pansies, cuttings of daphne plant, various herbs in pots. Another parasol. No BBQ equipment, dumped it for a teriyaki grill. Squirrels, crows, magpies, robins and a sneaky rabbit. (No idea how the rabbit got in, going to have to check the fence again.)

A pile of scaffolding. My husband (a retired builder) is convinced that it is the only place to keep it safe. As he has Alzheimer's disease there is no persuading him otherwise. Perhaps I should take Shysal's lead and cover it with fairy lights.
