Anyone going to see Oasis

No need for apologies, your post added to the thread, I just don't understand folks posting negative thoughts about the band.
I'm not a fan but I love live music and was interested to hear who was looking forward to going.

It was a great weekend for live music.
Oasis is Cardiff, Black Sabbath and many other at Aston Villa, then ELO in Birmingham

I hope everyone who was lucky enough to get tickets had the most wonderful time. Sadly I tried for all 3 but without success

They’re great aren’t they. I saw them in Cambridge Corn Exchange a few years ago.

My cousin and his daughter were there, somehow got tickets at the last minute

Well, Cardiff could have been renamed for Oasis yesterday, there was such a great atmosphere, everybody was out, the town and brewery quarter were buzzing, and there was a huge boost to the businesses.

The concert was absolutely outstanding, the best I’ve seen, bar none. No gimmicks, or staging, just proper rock - and Liam’s voice is back to it’s best.

If you’re a fan, the hype was all justified, ‘I think you’re the same as me, we see things they’ll never see’ - get there if you possibly can.

Not sure if i could cope with the crowds of Oasis concert.
Im sure the fans will have a blast.

I’m also happy for those who are really excited about going.
I’ll watch the documentary about them tonight at 10pm.

I’m enjoying singing along to ELO on BBC2 at the moment.
My all time favourite band after the Beatles.

Well, I've been watching bits and pieces of the Black Sabbath - Back To The Beginning - gig and it's been great.

My youngest son going I’m sure he’ll have the best time. I love Rod Stewart and hope he comes back up north sometime. Cardiff looks like it’s buzzing!

I’d rather see Black Sabbath and support bands, sadly seeing neither.

I went to antenatal classes with Ozzy's first wife. He was there on "fathers night" I find it sad seeing him now.

We saw them at Wembley in 2000.
Too much money and effort nowadays.

One of my DD’s has tickets to see them at Wembley in a fortnight!

I think they are great, Ziggy62. But they don't come down to this part of the world (south Devon) and also the tickets are a bit pricey for me. I would love to see them though.

I’m not going, but I’m by excited proxy for all who are going. There’s nothing quite like seeing your idols playing live, especially if it’s never going to happen again.

In 1990 I enjoyed their set sitting in a relative’s garden, across the river from the Reading Festival site 😎

No, but we were coming home that way and dreaded getting caught in the traffic jams. Thankfully DH took an alternative route.
