Anyone going to see Oasis

Vernon Kay very excited on radio 2 this morning about taking his daughter to see Oasis.

I love live gigs, saw Morrissey in Dublin end of May. Seeing Leo Sayer later this month

Wasn't a fan of Oasis but tried (unsuccessfully) to get tickets as my husband is a fan.

So anyone lucky enough to be going?

Sorry Ziggy but definitely not. I’d rather poke my eyes out with a sharp stick! (as the saying goes).

Galaxy Fri 04-Jul-25 12:08:57

My husband and son are going.

Oh I'm sure they will have a wonderful time

Unfortunately not. But absolutely love them. I tried to get tickets but no luck.

My children were Oasis fans, the older one more so, by extension I was introduced to their music, I did love their album 'What's the Story Morning Glory' I think they are talented, inspite of the constant furore that surrounds them, but no I'm not going to see them. When I went to concerts tickets weren't so outrageously expensive.

I’d rather see Black Sabbath and support bands, sadly seeing neither.

Yes we tried to get tickets for Black Sabbath

One of my favourite drummers is taking part in the Black Sabbath gig, so I might try to catch some of it if I can find it being streamed anywhere.
I was more of a Blur fan than an Oasis fan, but hope anyone who is going enjoys themselves.

Not my scene, as we used to say in the 60s and 70s.

I just hope tour goes ahead smoothly and they play all the venues in spite of Liam and Noel's mutual antagonism and anger issues. Anyway I hope their fans with tickets all get to enjoy seeing them live.

Jaxjacky Fri 04-Jul-25 14:26:04

I found it is being streamed ViceVersa £25!,

Ooft, no ta! I'm sure I'll find a clip of the drummer I want to see at some point.

My son and d.i.l. are going and I’ve got the boys for a sleep-over. No sleep for me tonight 😂. They have their own twin beds in the bedroom next to mine, but we eventually end up three-in-a-bed. My bed is just a normal king-size or is it double ? Anyway, it’s going to be tight but I love it 🥰

I tried to get tickets for myself, 17year old Gs and my Son in law.
I would love to see them live but more than that I would have loved to see them live back in their hey day.

We are going to see Stevie Wonder in Hyde Park next Saturday. More my thing and so excited!

I’m on grannie and dog minding duty. One of my daughters booked me yesterday after somehow getting tickets.
I’m far too old to be an Oasis fan. Two of my grandsons do good imitation of being the Gallagher brothers, great sulky points and Manc swaggers

They're doing three concerts near us during the Edinburgh festival. We'll hear it if we have the windows open. It's terrible timing as the city will already be full to bursting without thousands of Oasis fans arriving too.

Iam64 Fri 04-Jul-25 16:56:44

Aveline, maybe you’ll get away with it. Heaps of time for Noel and Liam to have a spectacular bust up before then 😉

ViceVersa Fri 04-Jul-25 17:11:33

They quite often have big concerts on during the festival anyway, so I wouldn't have thought Oasis would make much difference.

Yes, I’m going tomorrow, day 2 in Cardiff. We are big Oasis fans in our house, and are all so excited, how lucky we were to get tickets. The standing tickets started queuing outside the stadium yesterday for the first gig tonight, and Cardiff is absolutely buzzing. We’re seated though. I’m sure it will be fantastic!

Clips I've seen so far look good
Enjoy xx

I was there at Cardiff last night , it was Amazing, so lucky to get tickets

rafichagran Sat 05-Jul-25 03:28:42

My Son, Grandson and their partners will be going.

Doodledog Sat 05-Jul-25 06:27:48

I quite like them - their music reminds me of when my children were little - but no.

I tried to get tickets for the reunion tour (well I offered to pay for them as a present to my son and DIL, and they did the queuing) but by the time they got anywhere near the top of the queue the prices were insane because of dynamic pricing and they gave up. Maybe that was the fault of Ticketmaster, but I thought it was grabby and it left a sour taste.

Astitchintime Sat 05-Jul-25 07:12:04

Wild horses wouldn’t drag me to an Oasis concert and I certainly wouldn’t fork out a hideous amount of money to see them anyway! Never liked them the first time around and cannot understand all the hype about this reunion tour!
