Happy anniversary to Ginsberg and dh. Well after an emotional send if and beautiful service I said goodbye to my dear brother. He would have found it amusing that the limo wouldn’t start and we were delayed apparently key trouble. But soon got going after my son told the funeral lady to try taking the key out and redoing it.days like yesterday give us the strength and hope to go on. Heatwave coming calmer day today and reflection.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle..I don't think we're going to be worrying about heat stroke here though!
Yesterday I did a bit of deadheading and chopping back in the garden, it's a veritable jungle out there at the moment. However, most of my time was spent researching routes, timings and prices for flights to Australia. I think I've decided now, the dates are agreed with DS2 so must bite the bullet and book. Meanie me has decided to go economy as before, the price of business class is equal to another holiday.

A Tesco delivery is due mid-morning and as for the rest of the day, maybe a walk after lunch and some reading.

Have a good day everyone if you can.
I'm thinking about Buzz, Bella....

Good morning from a bright sunny Suffolk. Happy anniversary to the Gingsters. Enjoy your lunch and reminiscing over the many years together.

I’m finding that I’m slipping back into my normal routines which is helping me to value life and living. I had coffee with 3 others from my keep fit class yesterday and I’m off to my stretch class shortly and then a quiet afternoon in different shady spots in the garden.

Hope today is the best it can be for all.

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny already warm corner of Somerset

Enjoyed a breezy hour on the beach yesterday before it became too busy to enjoy. An appointment arrived for the first eye injection, it’s next Wednesday. I’m usually relaxed about medical matters, this seems to be the reception.

Coffee with neighbours this morning. This afternoon Mr C is taking his foot to see one of the surgery physiotherapists. I’ll tag along and we may well go in search of a sea breeze before returning to a very warm home.

Thoughts are with all finding life a challenge.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Happy anniversary to The Gingsters. Have a lovely day

Good morning from an already very warm Wiltshire.

DD1 is coming over and will stay overnight. We are taking her for lunch at Côte Brasserie in Bath. Really looking forward to seeing her. Her daughter DGD1 is 19 and has worked at Nirvana Spa since she was 16, serving in the restaurant as a weekend and holiday job. It featured in many newspapers yesterday as a male masseur has been arrested for “inappropriate touching”. It often welcomes rich and famous guests.

Having watched a lot of Wimbledon this year, I think I will swerve the semifinal with Sinner v Djokovic as I’m not a fan of either of them, though that’s tomorrow.

Happy holidays to all the intrepid travellers. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Overcast but warm.

But I have just popped outside to bring in yesterday's washing and that wretched seagull chick has flown back up again to the higher part of my garden. 🙄

I am looking forward to going into Edinburgh today, meeting a friend and walking along beside the Water of Leith to the Gallery of Modern Art.
Lunch and a blether.
I was up late glazing pots and packing my kiln. So fingers tightly crossed that the pieces turn out well. They are a commission for a wedding present.
No room for error as the wedding is on Saturday.

Harris, I'm glad that the funeral was a proper ch

Good morning from another glorious sunny summers day in S E Essex.

We are visiting our local Farm Shop first thing, then I hope to sit in the garden with my kindle until school pick-up, usual sleepover for the 10yr old.

Happy anniversary Gingster I hope you and your DH have many more happy years 🍾🥂😘

GrannySomerset Thu 10-Jul-25 08:25:29

Have been playing silly b……s over passwords again. Why does GN suddenly shut one out for no obvious reason? However, am here early with the washing machine going and no plans other than keeping the house as cool as I can and watching the tennis. DGD and I have been working out what we are to say at Saturday’s party to celebrate DD’s 60th birthday and their 25th wedding anniversary. It should be quite an occasion.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

Today MrB and I are meeting up with family at the Marina café. We are planning to walk there and back. I will be using my tri walker so fingers crossed it stays dry.

Thinking of our poorly Grans and families, as always.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

Good morning everyone from an already hot south coast.
I was supposed to be going to see The Salt Path this morning but after all the recent revelations, have decided it’s not for me.
I’m now trying to make up my mind whether to go to Bon Marché which has recently re-opened in town (how often does that happen?) or stay at home and keep cool (and bored)
Hope everyone has a good day. Stay out of the heat - says she, about to ignore her own advice!! 😂

Happy Anniversary to the Gingstersenjoy your day

hollysteers Thu 10-Jul-25 09:02:02

Good morning from a brightening northwest coast. Housework yesterday and FaceTime with DD in the south. Practised new songs.
New neighbours across the road are bulldozing their front garden, so it was pretty noisy. Seems a shame as it was a large nicely landscaped one before. Also there is room for parking without flattening it, but not my circus and not my monkeys. Sadly the couple I knew before them not long ago died within eighteen months of each other and no age…

I have the dental hygienist this morning and a little shopping, so nothing exciting.
Lovely photos, congratulations to the Gingsters and thoughts to Harris27🌺

cornergran Thu 10-Jul-25 09:07:35

Very happy anniversary wishes to you both gingster 🥂

A quick late Good Morning from me in France 🇫🇷 to where we’ve had a smooth crossing but a short night! Already hot here.

After setting sail late, we were awoken by the Brittany Ferries alarm at 4.45 am BST! We'd had less than five hours sleep. 😴

Now we're safely at DH's home, I’ll read through all your news.

Thinking of the worried, bereaved and unwell. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

TheWeirdoAgain1 Thu 10-Jul-25 09:47:54

Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!

Thanks, ginny, for the photos, how beautiful they are!

In my house I have a smoke alarm on the ceiling of the bedroom, livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and passage and I insist on testing all of them each month and always keep spare batteries.

I don't smoke .... am life-long anti-brigade - and refuse to allow visitors to do it but I have multiple candles of various sizes and designs in the livingroom along with incense sticks. .

All of my lovely candles/sticks were non-lit when I went to bed then at exactly 1am I shot through the roof with fright/straight out of sleep when all 5 blared out together! The noise was enough to wake the dead!

My direct next door neighbours in their 90s must have heard the alarms and me jumping out of bed in a mad rush!

I did the bedroom one first, then livingroom, passage, kitchen and bathroom but of course I could only do one at a time so had to stand there for what seemed like ages being deafened by the other 4! At least they work!

After managing to switch them all off I tested all the batteries and they were all fine!

I can understand one going off but all five at the same time?!

Weird!

A very Happy Anniversary to the Gingsters! Lunch sounds wonderful!🥂💐
