Good morning from coastal West Sussex where it is much hotter than yesterday. DH went to the allotment early and came back just after 10, saying it was too hot to work but he had sat under the cherry trees for a bit and just enjoyed looking at it (I have been trying to gently nudge him into being more relaxed and mindful 🙂).
Thank you for the lovely travel photos, Ginny and LFL.
Glad to hear your DB’s funeral was what you hoped for, Harris.
Hope your medication works out ok Susan. Too much knowledge can make some things more challenging!
Grammaretto, I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the tea set firing has gone well - maybe you will post a photo?
Happy anniversary to the Gingsters and belatedly to Ivy.
I’ve just heard our local swifts ‘screaming’ as they fly past - one of my favourite sounds of the summer. Yesterday evening a wren suddenly started singing with its amazingly loud trill - I guess maybe a second brood is planned and he is re-establishing his territory.
Marydoll, I don’t know how you manage these outings but it sounds as though you and Dolly had a great day.
My eldest DGD graduates tomorrow. We are very proud as, in spite of being mildly dyslexic and a bit chaotic in some aspects of her life, she worked very hard and got a 1st.
It is nearly p.m. so I will stop rambling, drink some more water, and do something useful before it gets any warmer 🏖️
