Good morning from a very sunny Glasgow, where it is 13°C.
It was unbearably hot during the night and I have had little sleep. The heat is affecting my breathing too, Mizuna
Susan, sorry you are feeling so rotten.
Karma, you are so talented. I love that colour.
As I thought, despite weeks of drops, the wax in both ears is impacted.
I have new drops and will take them with other drops for two weeks, then will have an appointment to try and remove it. It was fascinating, to see inside my ears.
Apparently, due the fact I am on blood thinners, it will need to be done over a few sessions, for fear of a bleed in the ear canal.
Why is nothing in my life simple?
Hopefully, that is the reason for my hearing loss and I won't require aids.
I rushed home to get ready to catch the bus to DD's, to find DH not ready and foutering about.
Just as we were leaving (the buses are only every half hour) he decided to bring in the washing.
I went and locked the conservatory doors, then found he was nowhere to be found .
I had locked him out
complete with the washing!!
Oh the back door is sticking in the heat, so I went through the conservatory. said he.
This should have been a sign, that our trip out was going to problematic.
Just as we were leaving, I noticed a trail of white powder through the house. Nothing to do with me, said DH.
It never is.😉
As we were walking along the road, DH of course was marching miles ahead, I noticed the same trail of white substance. Then I looked at DH's shoes, the heels were crumbling as he walked. 😱
To make matters worse, he had no idea. How could he not notice, that his shoes had no heels?🤣
He ran back to change them, while I hobbled on. I waited and waited at the bus stop, but he never appeared. The bus we had planned to get, flew past, then another one.
I was starting to get anxious, so went to the corner to see if he was coming, but no DH.
I messaged DD and DIL, to say I was getting worried and was going home to look for him. I had visions of him lying dead in the road! A bit of an exaggeration, I know.
Eventually, I spotted him in the distance, near our home. I was raging at him, because he wasn't answering his phone and was almost back home.
His excuse was that I had taken over his part of the wardrobe and he couldn't find a matching pair of shoes!!
So basically, it was all my fault.🤬
By this time, I was starting to experience angina pains and felt lightheaded, due to the extreme heat.
DD phoned to say, that SIL was coming to pick us up and to wait, where we were.
There was no shelter from the sun and I began to feel increasingly more unwell. I got out my heart spray to find it had jammed, I was starting to feel panicky. DH of course was oblivious, because he was standing with his back to me.
Anything wrong he asked. I swear that man lives in a parallel universe.
Just at that, thankfully SIL appeared, with the air conditioning going full blast.
A message appeared on my phone from DIL. Dollie was protesting about walking up the very steep hill in the heat to DD's and had the bright idea that we could we pick her up on the way! Smart move!
We had a lovely family time, but I missed much of the chat. At one point, I realised that I had become my mother, sitting in the corner, oblivious to all that was being said. I did however, hear the lecture from my all of them, that I am doing to much!
We were still sitting out at 11pm, unheard of for DH and I.
It was too late for the bus, so taxis were ordered. My son is like the King, he carries no cash. The bank of mum to the rescue again!
I was flagging very badly and just wanted to go to bed. On entering the bedroom, I thought we had been burgled. There were shoes everywhere.
That man will be the death of me!!
Today, DS2 is having a barbecue, but we have declined.
DIL's family will be there, but I don't feel too good and am so embarrassed at being unable to hear and socialise.
I forgot to wish you a happy holiday, Grandmabatty , enjoy!
Wishing you all a good day.
