Good morning, everyone from the sunny south. It looks like being another scorcher.
No plans today other than watching the men’s finals.
Hope everyone manages to keep cool. Have a good day.

Good morning from another hot hot hot Black Country.

Didn't do a lot in the day yesterday as it was too hot. Drove over to Granddaughters 21st party in the evening. Luckily there was plenty of outdoor space at the venue, and the majority were out there until 10pm. DIL did all the buffet food for 130 people.

Well....DGD1 is actually 21 today! Hard to believe as I am only 40 myself (in my head smile ) . She is off for a couple of days away with her boyfriend today.

Not sure what we are doing today, probably another quiet one.

Maw I did start to wonder you had been missing for a while Sending my love and best wishes that your fears are allayed.

Good morning from the Essex coast where it is a lot cooler and a little cloudy. I think we may see the sun later.
DH and his friend left on their trip to Holland about 1.45 yesterday. I won't see him again for nearly 4 weeks and felt a little sad watching them motor down the river.
Last night I drove to the club where we had a DJ playing and spent a pleasant few hours chatting.
Today a few boats are going for a trip down the river then back for a BBQ.
I would also like to watch the tennis.
I haven't read everyone's news yet so will do that now with a cup of tea.
Enjoy your day, best wishes to all xx

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from Northern Ireland where it’s already a warm cloudless day. I will gloss over the last two days of travelling😫. The house we have rented is, I think, a listed building that has been beautifully modernised but has no curtains, only the original wooden shutters on the huge windows which clatter like the devil when the wind blows which is did last night with a vengeance. Today will be a quiet “getting over it”sort of day and we must shop, as no-one had the energy yesterday evening. Then we have a Sunday lunch booked in a local hotel which will be nice - I hope! GS was tasked with finding a suitable establishment, so if nothing else, it will probably be expensive😂!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a slightly cooler Cambridgeshire. Yesterday didn’t quite go to plan but we enjoyed watching DGD2 dance at our local Carnival with her dance school. She looked lovely in a purple tu tu with a big smile on her face.
We then enjoyed a lovely evening with friends who did a BBQ for us and a few beers and Prosecco consumed whilst relaxing in their beautiful garden. However on returning home in a taxi I soon realised I had left my door key at our friends house 🙈. However we had managed to leave our garage unlocked and a back bedroom window open so I persuaded DH to climb his ladder onto the conservatory roof and climb in. On the second attempt he managed it but we will now hide a spare key and review our security arrangements 🙈 He was not at all happy with me….

Today we have DD2 and children over for two hours happy chaos and a BBQ.

Rosesandhermaw fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Sending best wishes to all have a good Sunday 💐

Another hot, sticky day in Lancashire. I hope the forecast is correct and tomorrow will give a brief respite. I need to get into town and do some shopping. Town centres are the worst places to be in hot weather. The traffic fumes increase the air pollution so it's a health hazard.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast. I really enjoyed the 40s day nearby yesterday. Lovely atmosphere, people dressed 40s style, stalls and 40s music. I bought homemade jam etc., had lunch in the park, bought books I don't need and sat and read under the trees.

Just a quiet day today, parasol up in the garden and fan inside the house. I started watching Outrageous re the Mitfords, a bother to get into U on my smart tv and now it’s disappeared altogether…
Thoughts to Rosie and all🌺

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday was a real scorcher. MrB and I enjoyed a local walk down the opposite side of the dock, in the shade of the trees. It was too hot to cook dinner so we raided the fridge for baked ham, chicken, eggs and salad. Today will be similar and I must get a wiggle on, as we will be going for our walk soon before it gets too hot. The Solbari sunhat is working hard at the moment!

Thinking of our poorly Grans and families, as always.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. There was a haar but it's lifted now.
My house has thick stone walls and some stone floors so is always cool.

The party was lovely though there's too much left over food and still a lot of clearing up to do.
DD left rather early . I think she found the event upsetting. I had made a photo montage of her dad through the years.

The guests all seemed to enjoy themselves some sitting in my shady garden in their summer clothes . A couple of the men playing guitar and singing. DH loved a party so I'm sure he was there in spirit.

I hope your fears are unfounded RosieandherMaw flowers

Have a fab holiday Grandmabatty

Good morning to you all,
Another hot day ahead here, so it will be another day of not doing very much as this heat saps me too much. Church shortly, then that will be about it, I think.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you Maw. 💐
Sending kind thoughts to all who are struggling.
Those of you out and about, have a lovely time and remember to keep well hydrated.

Morning all from the Rhine.

We’ve just got back from Rudesheim where we had a trip in a 2-person cable car. It was fun.

Now back on board and will set off shortly for Koblenz. It is the Chef’s Special Dinner tonight so I expect we will all be dressing up in our finery!

Have a good day everyone and I’m thinking of those with worries

Enjoy the Barber of Seville and your wonderful picnic.
Hope that your diagnosis is negative. My daughter had one removed two years ago and she is absolutely fine.
